"the one with..." was how all the friends episodes were named. also, I think 30 rock has the thursday time slot both friends and night court had so this was all kind of a geeky NBC thing but I liked it.

I think NBC's pretty comfortable with their 9pm hour on Thursdays for right now. And realistic about it. I mean, they're up against Grey's Anatomy and CSI, so they're never expecting to win it.

I have heard is that 30 Rock is so NBC-inside baseball that all the network execs are too fond of it to let it die. Hopefully that's true.

Robert Carlock writes on 30 Rock, He also wrote on Friends; This may explain the 'The one with..' phenomenon. It also makes me sad.

"phenomenon"? they titled one Friends-related episode as a reference to the Friends episode titles.

one of the only shows i can think of that can get away with casting these guest stars like this. UGH why is thursday four days away?
