I hope he suggests "get 'em wasted" as a diagnostic for every patient
― El Tomboto, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 04:20 (eighteen years ago)
how many roles can he do where he is stoner who is good at medicine tho??
― m bison, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 04:22 (eighteen years ago)
unless there is a harold and kumar go to mayo clinic storyline i am unaware of, this is basically dream role
― m bison, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 04:23 (eighteen years ago)
it was kind of funny how obvious even in the first scene which applicants would get fired right away and which ones would get a speaking part and stick around for an episode or two. "OK, that's Kumar, he's definitely staying, the camera just lingered on that hot girl for a little too long, she's staying." Kal Penn had even less lines in last night's episode than he did in Superman Returns, though! presumably they'll flesh his character out more next week.
― Alex in Baltimore, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 13:00 (eighteen years ago)
ok this shit is just a lil emo here
― El Tomboto, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 01:45 (eighteen years ago)

― El Tomboto, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 01:51 (eighteen years ago)

― wanko ergo sum, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 01:53 (eighteen years ago)
hey, it's the OC's favorite lesbian
― milo z, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 01:55 (eighteen years ago)
Holy shit thank you milo, I couldn't figure out who she was. Also, it was emo as hell but I shed one. I'm a big wimp.
― ENBB, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 02:02 (eighteen years ago)
the dog almost had me too though
― El Tomboto, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 02:34 (eighteen years ago)
Dark episode. Call me a moron, but why was Foreman fired?
― Bill Magill, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 14:34 (eighteen years ago)
because he's black
― GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 14:41 (eighteen years ago)
because he wasn't supposed to treat that patient???
― Mr. Que, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 14:43 (eighteen years ago)
I watched the show for the first time last night, but with the sound off (it was on at a restaurant). There was no plot to distract from the Hugh Laurie gazing, and it seemed like the hospital drama equivalent of the Batman show--a bit of surrealist theater.
― patita, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 18:12 (eighteen years ago)
this is really not the kind of show worth jumping into now without at least having seen a few episodes from the first 2 seasons. not that it'd be as confusing as Lost or anything, but they kinda had to ramp up to what's going on now. and last night's episode was pretty stupid, I still don't feel like they adequately explained House's self-electrocution.
― Alex in Baltimore, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 18:16 (eighteen years ago)
The only K.Penn role I have seen where he isn't good at medicine = on Angel
And even that's questionable -- he is using his giant exposed pulsating brain to make Cordelia sick, which is just evil medicine
― nabisco, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 18:17 (eighteen years ago)
Wasn't he self-electrocuting because the guy he saw do it described it as better than drugs? And we know House digs drugs. Plus, he wanted to test whether there's an afterworld.
Hopefully the new conniving female doctor is let go soon
― Bill Magill, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 18:32 (eighteen years ago)
I like the conniving one! Better than the boring model-looking one, at least.
― Alex in Baltimore, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 18:38 (eighteen years ago)
Also every time Cameron pops up with that horrible blonde dyejob I'm glad she's barely in the recent episodes.
― Alex in Baltimore, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 18:39 (eighteen years ago)
Blonde Cameron is just part 7,385,489 in my on-going series "Redheads: WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?"
― en i see kay, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 19:30 (eighteen years ago)
Last night's ep made me cryyyyyy but then again I am sadsack grande. He put his hand on the dog's head and then he died! He loved his dog!
I don't get why they're making black kid Mormo except Mormons being in the news, or it's exotic, or something. He is handsome man tho! Fake-ass Steve Carrell plastic surgeon needs to go. And Ms. Sneakfiend stokes my h8. The end.
― Abbott, Thursday, 11 October 2007 04:25 (eighteen years ago)
I am not interested in any of the newbies other than Unbelievably Old Guy, and that's mostly because I like kind old dudes. But then, I was never that interested in any of the original team, apart from Foreman. But Foreman was only interesting when he was not being incredibly angry which he was incredibly angry all of season 3, so.
― Clay, Thursday, 11 October 2007 04:39 (eighteen years ago)
Season three was largely just painful to lukewarm, except the episode with that old guy patient who'd done some Tuskeegee shit on babies back in the day.
― Abbott, Thursday, 11 October 2007 04:41 (eighteen years ago)

I'm glad they didn't adequately explain House's electrocution. I think he is seriously depressed even though he never admits it. Good use of subtext. Number 13 (model-looking one) got to stay even though the guy died. I think House knew he wouldn't swallow the pills and but didn't care because the guy wanted to die. Number 13 is now prepared to be on his team because she had a patient die. Cameron couldn't handle it. Cameron got fired because he went against the odds (normal procedure) to save his patient.
― CaptainLorax, Thursday, 11 October 2007 07:27 (eighteen years ago)
I was pretty sure Foreman was fired because he was told not to do something by his boss, and he went ahead and did it anyway, which is what House would have done, and he got fired because you can't have loose cannons like that around, except that Cuddy would totally have let him away with it, so now he should just come back and work for House again.
― accentmonkey, Thursday, 11 October 2007 22:03 (eighteen years ago)
Yeah, and he's too handsome to go on.
― Abbott, Thursday, 11 October 2007 22:23 (eighteen years ago)
Bahaha Mormon face-punch. And ergotism! Whoa. Ergot.
Okay so House calls Mormo "hypocrite" after saying like he believed in evolution er summat. SO I looked this up in Mormon Doctrine (first ed w/all the crazily crazy racist shit) (important book on "official church views" written in l8 1950s), and Joseph Smith said something like "evolution can't exist because man was created in god's image, will become a god of his own someday, blah blah blah. Also, all beings, such as gorillas and tadpoles will attain their ultimate perfection in the etrnaul sphere." (Uh...) And THEN it's followed by McConkie (author) saying, "Since science and our religion are both ultimate truths, science cannot conflict with religion." (UH...)
― Abbott, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 18:26 (eighteen years ago)
"That is the worst 13 impression I've ever heard." Also glad Housey/Wilson now have jan8r chillout bro.
― Abbott, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 18:27 (eighteen years ago)
I'm starting to feel really bitter about this show, based on my fading interest in the new episodes, my budding interest in watching Reaper instead, and my girl's insistence on watching House during that timeslot.
― Alex in Baltimore, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 18:35 (eighteen years ago)
I'll miss the fraudulent old-timer.
― Bill Magill, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 18:40 (eighteen years ago)
I think he'll show up again. Bitch fighjt between him and the insufferable plastic surgeon was pretty great, & also the plastic surgeon moppage. Hoho. If they don't get rid of that insufferable conniving whore I will go mad. I don't think I've ever yelled "YOU CONNIVING WHORE!" at the TV so many times as I did last night in one hour.
― Abbott, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 18:43 (eighteen years ago)
For three weeks in a row now, I have felt lukewarm about tuning in to House instead of something else, and then have not been able to turn it off.
― kenan, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 18:45 (eighteen years ago)
She got old real quick. On the other hand, I hope the one who killed the dog is a permanent addition to the cast. Hot as hell.
x post
― Bill Magill, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 18:46 (eighteen years ago)
I think conniving whore (Anne Dudek) is hotter than dog killer (Olivia Wilde), possibly because she's the only member of the new team that isn't insufferably boring.
― Alex in Baltimore, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 18:58 (eighteen years ago)
kumar is being wasted.
― kenan, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 19:00 (eighteen years ago)
She has committed far more insufferable crimes than any of the others (seconded by plastic surgeon douche (I think the 3 eps of Nip/Tuck I saw made me hate plastic surgeons for life)). And she's not really hot at all. Thirteen has a cute cheek scar & crazy impossible eyelids.
― Abbott, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 19:00 (eighteen years ago)
xp
Agreed 100%
― Bill Magill, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 19:03 (eighteen years ago)
Are cute cheek scars the new n3rd l0ve indicator, as transitioned in by Tina Fey? Cause I'm okay with that.
― en i see kay, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 22:04 (eighteen years ago)
Thirteen played Marissa's lesbian lover on The O.C.. She's super hot.
― jon /via/ chi 2.0, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 22:14 (eighteen years ago)
the relationship between House and Wilson is brilliant. They are the most believable best friends I've seen on telly in years. I love it.
Apparently they are GREBT friendsd in "real life" too.
I srsly should get a head check because the first two eps I didn't realize it was HIM! FFS!
I love the show. Not a klassik but still great fun to watch.
― stevienixed, Wednesday, 21 November 2007 08:34 (eighteen years ago)
I thought last night was pretty good. I'm surprised the Mormon took the pipe. I'm ready for the conniving one to go.
What's Foreman's role?
― Bill Magill, Wednesday, 21 November 2007 15:13 (eighteen years ago)
Foreman's there to keep his name in the title credits? I wish we got more of him. GLAD+++ to never see Cameron much.
Mormon...is...JUDAS!!!!!!!!!
House/magic dude interactions were fun.
― Abbott, Wednesday, 21 November 2007 19:02 (eighteen years ago)
I will miss conniving bitch if she's really gone - I doubt it though, she's a solid character. I didn't believe for a second they were getting rid of 13 even if she is boring.
― Simon H., Thursday, 29 November 2007 02:06 (eighteen years ago)
Dude okay House's patient-saving epiphany/metaphor was this NOIZE 45 that he played through an amp as big as himself and played constantly at Wilson after he got a patient to sue Wilson omg.
― Abbott, Thursday, 29 November 2007 02:17 (eighteen years ago)
Don'd kid yoursrelf, House luvs Coldplay, this is the way of the world.
― wanko ergo sum, Thursday, 29 November 2007 02:29 (eighteen years ago)
HOUSE IS GONNA MAKE IT THROUGH THIS YEAR IF IT KILLS HIM
― wanko ergo sum, Thursday, 29 November 2007 02:32 (eighteen years ago)
this was no coldplay
― Abbott, Thursday, 29 November 2007 02:32 (eighteen years ago)
I saw one of the older episodes again and House was diffrent back then. Less witty and more serious. And maybe more caring (but last nights episode proved differently).
