I got the Dr Who answer w/out ever seeing it, but wd've preferred a "Who is Who" answer.

Never heard of this Stevens-Ernie fight before.

Oh God, they had Jimmy from the Clue Crew warm up the audience, since announcer Johnny Gilbert had laryngitis or something, and he was a total cheeseball. Like he would ask audience members where they were from and then respond, "Wow, Seattle, Washington. What a great city. And a great place to be from. I've been to Seattle a few times now, and I've always had a great time. Seattle. That's really, really cool."

Oh my god, the Clue Crew are even lamer than I thought! I previously would not have thought the could be that lame. (Even if it's just Jimmy, this anecdote has tarnished the other two Clue Crew dudes.)

When I last watched Jeopardy there wasn't any Clue Crew; there were audio Daily Doubles.

Well I found time to watch this at a hotel. Good playing. Maybe next year you can get on TV for being a finalist in the crossword puzzle championship. I saw it on TV once and there was a crazy fast guy who won and I wouldn't be surprised if he wins all the time :/

I would definitely watch the crossword puzzle championship again. And the scrabble championship for that matter

yeah, if the question had been flipped, I wouldn't have know Stevens. But as it was, with the answer being Hemingway, "Key West" "1936" and the presence of violence was nothing short of a gimme.

Final Jeopardy was so ridiculously easy. Even before the question was revealed I was like "oh it'll probably be Hemingway". I mean he's kinda the go to guy for literary dust ups.

Congrats, nice job. You didn't get kicked off before Final Jeopardy which would be my biggest fear and disgrace.

How was the whole taping experience? How long were you in the studio? Did they edit anything out? What happens if someone was to curse by accident, do they start over? Does the winner change clothes and play another game right away, or had she played one right before yours? How different did it feel from the in-person audition?

Maybe someday I'll actually get on...

i watched this w/ my wife and was getting all heated like "i've watched this guy display incredible feats of memory and general knowledge for years! if he can't win this show THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN! there's too much emphasis on buzzer timing, clearly!"
