― tom d: he did what he had to do now he is dead (Tom D.), Thursday, 22 July 2010 11:28 (fifteen years ago)
The only this could be any better would be if Murali had gotten his 800th against an Aussie.
― xyzzzz__, Thursday, 22 July 2010 12:05 (fifteen years ago)
Pakistan going nicely. Also, check Stuart Broad's figures against Warwickshire...
― Anti-Suggest Ban Order (acoleuthic), Thursday, 22 July 2010 12:07 (fifteen years ago)
LOL Aussies. Broad = blimey!

― Neil S, Thursday, 22 July 2010 12:45 (fifteen years ago)
XD at these two non-batsmen showing up numbers 8 and 9
― Anti-Suggest Ban Order (acoleuthic), Thursday, 22 July 2010 12:49 (fifteen years ago)
Broad, 8 for 52. Another bowler nipped in with a wicket, while some dunderheid got himself run out.
― tom d: he did what he had to do now he is dead (Tom D.), Thursday, 22 July 2010 13:43 (fifteen years ago)
Was thrilling watching Mohammad Aamer bowling the other day. Those two wickets he got straight after lunch were hairs on the back of the neck stuff. Looks like they might not fuck it up this time as well.
― GamalielRatsey, Friday, 23 July 2010 10:34 (fifteen years ago)
Was thrilling watching him bowl just now! Dude's the most exciting young cricketer on the PLANET
― Anti-Suggest Ban Order (acoleuthic), Friday, 23 July 2010 10:34 (fifteen years ago)
Yeah, it's great isn't it? Massive grin and zooming plane celebration.
― Hide the prickforks (GamalielRatsey), Friday, 23 July 2010 10:38 (fifteen years ago)
And now Umar Gul to get walloped. Want to see Kaneria bowling now tbh
― Anti-Suggest Ban Order (acoleuthic), Friday, 23 July 2010 10:39 (fifteen years ago)
never, ever, ever in doubt
― Anti-Suggest Ban Order (acoleuthic), Saturday, 24 July 2010 10:38 (fifteen years ago)
haha er, yeah...
also lol @ sky sports news broadcasting and commentating on two of the aussies players (haddin and someone else) having a wrestle in the grass for 2-3 minutes.
― xyzzzz__, Saturday, 24 July 2010 10:40 (fifteen years ago)
australia may have lost, but in defeat they had the stink of born winners - a very hard thing to achieve
just kept on refusing to die, still shooting while the mortal blood flowed from their wounds
― Anti-Suggest Ban Order (acoleuthic), Saturday, 24 July 2010 10:42 (fifteen years ago)
From the Beeb:
The 35-year-old was uncertain whether he would return to England as Australia captain in 2013 but when asked if Pakistan would beat Andrew Strauss's team in the four-Test series beginning on 29 July he said: "Let's hope so."
― Neil S, Saturday, 24 July 2010 14:26 (fifteen years ago)
I heard that, well said Ricky!
― tom d: he did what he had to do now he is dead (Tom D.), Monday, 26 July 2010 11:14 (fifteen years ago)
good to know he's not in any way bitter!
― Neil S, Monday, 26 July 2010 12:42 (fifteen years ago)
Anyone watching the end of this Test between India and Oz? India 207-9, need 9 to win.
― the too encumbered madman (GamalielRatsey), Tuesday, 5 October 2010 07:58 (fifteen years ago)
India won by one wicket! Wow. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/shared/fds/hi/statistics/cricket/scorecards/2010/10/86064/html/scorecard.stm
124 for 8 at one stage, chasing 216
― Daniel Giraffe, Tuesday, 5 October 2010 08:20 (fifteen years ago)
Quite a display from Shane Watson to finish on the losing side. VVS is immense, averages 55 against Australia
― acoleuthic, Tuesday, 5 October 2010 12:37 (fifteen years ago)
cricket has been especially crazy these past few days, culminating in the Pakistan wicketkeeper going missing before a match
― acoleuthic, Monday, 8 November 2010 10:37 (fifteen years ago)
Gayle on 331 against Sri Lanka in the Windies first innings. (559-4)
― Pork Pius V (GamalielRatsey), Tuesday, 16 November 2010 10:09 (fifteen years ago)
Hopefully Gayle will start swinging like it's a Twenty20 when he hits 400.
― Pro Bono Impersonator (King Boy Pato), Tuesday, 16 November 2010 10:12 (fifteen years ago)
is there an ashes thread yet?
― caek, Tuesday, 16 November 2010 13:16 (fifteen years ago)

― "shrimp" on the "barbie" (haitch), Tuesday, 16 November 2010 13:20 (fifteen years ago)

FREE AMIR

*AAMER, AAMIR ETC
It'll cost you
― Tom D (Lenin's his feir and Liebknecht's his mate) (Tom D.), Friday, 4 February 2011 14:30 (fifteen years ago)
you think he's innocent or just sympathy for a young exciting talent who bowled no balls for $
― zvookster, Friday, 4 February 2011 14:31 (fifteen years ago)
just a kid. gave england, what, 2 or 3 runs? yeah it was in pursuit of money but he was lured into it by seniors who should have known better. let him off ffs.
the rhetoric 'cheating', 'match-fixing' etc in relation to this appals me. it was neither of these things; it was a swift buck. obviously by extension it compromises the 'spirit of the game' and threatens greater crimes, but Aamer especially has suffered enough. let him play cricket again you heartless fucks!
a final warning is the least they can do for him (and probably the other two as well, although I think the greatest of their crimes was allowing Aamer to participate in their scheme - and for this I would be reluctant as Pakistan board to ever pick them again)
― acoleuthic, Friday, 4 February 2011 14:33 (fifteen years ago)
The rozzers are involved now tho
― Tom D (Lenin's his feir and Liebknecht's his mate) (Tom D.), Friday, 4 February 2011 14:34 (fifteen years ago)
this situation really didn't need the rozzers. they just bowled a few no-balls, wasn't like they weren't trying to win
― acoleuthic, Friday, 4 February 2011 14:35 (fifteen years ago)
i feel perspective has been jettisoned. people calling for a life-ban on aamer. wtf. cricketers have done SO much worse and come back within months!
― acoleuthic, Friday, 4 February 2011 14:36 (fifteen years ago)
I'm with you on this one
― Tom D (Lenin's his feir and Liebknecht's his mate) (Tom D.), Friday, 4 February 2011 14:37 (fifteen years ago)
im not
― Algerian Goalkeeper, Friday, 4 February 2011 14:38 (fifteen years ago)
There's a turn up
― Tom D (Lenin's his feir and Liebknecht's his mate) (Tom D.), Friday, 4 February 2011 14:39 (fifteen years ago)
it's a fucking criminal conspiracy LJ. just because the MCC and the preface to the rules of cricket have got it covered doesn't mean it's not of interest to the CPS/the state. up to cricket if they want to ban him, but there's a bigger issue.
― caek, Friday, 4 February 2011 14:39 (fifteen years ago)
cricketers have done SO much worse and come back within months!
and that's why it keeps happening!
xpcaek OTM
― Algerian Goalkeeper, Friday, 4 February 2011 14:43 (fifteen years ago)
the state should fuck off and leave my sport alone. yeah ok there's betting corruption at play - this is a different issue, and is unrelated to the cricket itself - not that the bookmakers have been substantially defrauded or that anybody is really the victim of this, except the young dude who did it because his two most obvious father-figures within the squad were doing so. let him off with a warning. sometimes the law is an overly literal ass. by sometimes i mean 'all the time'.
― acoleuthic, Friday, 4 February 2011 14:44 (fifteen years ago)
and age is no excuse. If he gets let off then other kids will get targeted and be told that theres no risk as they wont get a life ban.
― Algerian Goalkeeper, Friday, 4 February 2011 14:44 (fifteen years ago)
fucks sake
― acoleuthic, Friday, 4 February 2011 14:45 (fifteen years ago)
