I think what freaks me out most about this arc is that all the characters have different physiology now that they're naked. Ray & Beef are often unclothed but they look like bean-shaped cartoon cats. Nice Pete, Téodor, and this new cat all have people bodies (or bad furry porn bodies).

This really fucks with me.

Téodor has been naked before, but in the latest strip he suddenly has, like, arm muscle definition & flab distributed in a non-cartoony way.

I hold on to some vague hope that this arc is all about Teodor discovering his true sexuality (hasn't he always been really frustrated w/women?). then hilarious hijinks with Pat and Rod will ensue and we can all go home happy.

Abbott, did you see the metatext on the 5/26 strip? "You have to look pretty close to see his dock-tail scar surgery. We don't show it, here."

This storyline has been going for two months now. I think whoever said Onstad was trolling had it right.

Before I scrolled down on today's comic I thought he just dropped the Nice Pete/Teodor arc. That would have ruled.

Emeril is such a non-character, but after the last few strips this one is like that first breath of fresh air after a diving accident. Beef ftw.

No, I'm with you on that. I've thought about donating or subscribing to the premium content, but if I do it now while he's holding the strip hostage, then the comics-terrorists win.

2 weeks with no updates -- kinda feels like this really could be the end of the road -- although maybe I'm just saying that because "EVERYBODY OUT! HIGH SCHOOL IS OVER!" would make a fitting epitaph for the comic

Argh, I've just remembered the dream I was having last night in which Achewood had to finish because Chris Onstad ran out of money! The very last page just said something like "Sorry, that's it!"

Is the premium section still active? I guess I can't resent him for wanting it to be a money-making venture, but it's a shame that the downsizing of the free strip coincided with a low point in terms of quality.
