I don't get it.

Cathy (Cathy), Friday, 1 October 2004 22:11 (twenty-one years ago)

ken c (ken c), Friday, 1 October 2004 22:12 (twenty-one years ago)

I have enough trouble with glasgow

RJG (RJG), Friday, 1 October 2004 22:15 (twenty-one years ago)

too straight to be bent too?

ken c (ken c), Friday, 1 October 2004 22:16 (twenty-one years ago)

it makes picking things up from the floor really tough

ken c (ken c), Friday, 1 October 2004 22:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Poor Madchen. Hope everything turns out ok for you, dear.

Lara (Lara), Saturday, 2 October 2004 09:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Glasgow is trying.

Ally C (Ally C), Saturday, 2 October 2004 09:29 (twenty-one years ago)

cozen sez he's in GLASGOW, soon?

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 2 October 2004 10:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't believe you. Tonight?

Ally C (Ally C), Saturday, 2 October 2004 10:20 (twenty-one years ago)

celine et julie vont en bateau.

cºzen (Cozen), Saturday, 2 October 2004 10:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Which part are you playing?

Ally C (Ally C), Saturday, 2 October 2004 10:56 (twenty-one years ago)

When is he going boating?

Alba (Alba), Saturday, 2 October 2004 15:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I might go to see Dead Man's Shoes tonight, or maybe Hero. Is there anything else I should be doing?

Alba (Alba), Saturday, 2 October 2004 15:51 (twenty-one years ago)

I didn't understand the hero.

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 2 October 2004 15:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh well.

Alba (Alba), Saturday, 2 October 2004 16:00 (twenty-one years ago)

There wasn't much to understand. I liked the green.

Cathy (Cathy), Saturday, 2 October 2004 17:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Please go and see the Peter Sellers one and tell me if it's any good.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Saturday, 2 October 2004 17:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I might, in case my dad has survived the cutting room. But tonight I am going to see 'Dead Men's Shoes', at the GFT. In 37 minutes. I hope it isn't sold out.

Alba (Alba), Saturday, 2 October 2004 18:21 (twenty-one years ago)

what is DMS about?

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 2 October 2004 18:23 (twenty-one years ago)

hero was, and still is, dull.

DMS looks, despite myself, good. paddy considine + shane meadows + 'return to indie roots' + not 'once upon a time in the midlands' (which = awful) = a winner.

cºzen (Cozen), Saturday, 2 October 2004 20:35 (twenty-one years ago)

DMS shoes should be here, in april or so.

cºzen (Cozen), Saturday, 2 October 2004 20:35 (twenty-one years ago)

It wasn't a sell-out, by any means.

Alba (Alba), Saturday, 2 October 2004 21:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I bought two copies of the Daily Record yesterday. Lara, email me your address if you want a copy of Gregory's Girl and I will post it to you.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 3 October 2004 07:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Thanks! Email on the way...

Lara (Lara), Sunday, 3 October 2004 10:11 (twenty-one years ago)

I bought four.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 3 October 2004 13:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I bought none. I am the real loser.

Ally C (Ally C), Sunday, 3 October 2004 18:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm all in favour of Scotland With Style, Hare, mainly because I fancied the woman in the posters

Vanya? my best mate!

or someone else?

jed_ (jed), Sunday, 3 October 2004 18:31 (twenty-one years ago)

It was Vanya! Blimey. Tell your mate I fancy her.

Alba (Alba), Sunday, 3 October 2004 21:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Is Glasgow trying Little League on Friday? I'll probably be trying the Counting House tomorrow. Are we trying pizzas some time also?

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 18:10 (twenty-one years ago)

We're all doing everything, someday.

Ally C (Ally C), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 20:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I thought Little League was finished?

Cathy (Cathy), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 20:23 (twenty-one years ago)

No, it's the Scot-pop-tastic last one on Friday, I think. It had better be, as I have made plans. Which involve Little League.

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 20:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Alba, i will! (she's married with 2 kids). also much cooler than that pic makes her look tho.

jed_ (jed), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 23:33 (twenty-one years ago)

In Glasgow, stylish is shorthand for 'wearing unadventurous clothing and photographed in b&w'. I saw Lorna who some of you know yesterday and she looked very stylish x 1000, as always.

Madchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 6 October 2004 11:16 (twenty-one years ago)

And she's Canadian!

Madchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 6 October 2004 11:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Are you slagging off Jed's best mate?

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 6 October 2004 11:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Not unless Vanya designed the campaign. I think she was just pictured, no? She does look nice, although I do not fancy her.

Madchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 6 October 2004 11:35 (twenty-one years ago)

What's this about them turning the Woodside into a drugs rehab centre and needle exchange point?? 'Turning into' ha ha yes, but huh? Did I know this already?

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 14 October 2004 14:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 14 October 2004 14:24 (twenty-one years ago)

i understand glasgow is trying london more tomorrow, in the personages of ms lander and ms campbell from the CO, we've had quite a steady stream of you in the past couple of months, which i wholeheartedly approve of :)

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Thursday, 14 October 2004 14:28 (twenty-one years ago)

There's more to come (not me, unfortunately).

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 14 October 2004 14:35 (twenty-one years ago)

What, no more Woodside? : ( That makes me sad. It will still be there for a while though, won't it?

Cathy (Cathy), Thursday, 14 October 2004 14:37 (twenty-one years ago)

aw i like the woodside. it has its ventilation and beer price flaws but aw happy memories.

ken c (ken c), Thursday, 14 October 2004 14:39 (twenty-one years ago)

This is ridiculous. As we have discussed, it must be a scam. I do not believe The Woodside will be changing.

Oh, and yes, go see the Campbell/Lander DJing frenzy, Londoners!

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 14 October 2004 15:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I thought we had discussed this, yes. Was that notice there on Saturday? Was that when? I was very drunk.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 14 October 2004 15:39 (twenty-one years ago)

In other Glasgow news, who wants to be the new Vanya? They've opened up the competition here.

Actually, I think I may have misidentified the woman I fancy. It's the one in the stripey top and dark jacket. I think jed's friend might be the one the light suit. She's lovely too, but I'm just saying.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 14 October 2004 15:51 (twenty-one years ago)

I saw the camp hairdresser who was on X-Factor and they said he should be a drag queen today! He works near my house, it seems. I am tempted to go to him for a haircut, and see if he'll tell me about his shattered dreams.

Cathy (Cathy), Thursday, 14 October 2004 17:01 (twenty-one years ago)

his name is j0sh mcgu1re. he is on one of those I BELONG TO GLASGOW posters. I saw it, in the men's toilet's, in mcphabb's, last night. someone, helpfully, had written "screamer" after his profession ("hairdresser"). I think someone else had written "bawbag", on his forehead.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 14 October 2004 18:11 (twenty-one years ago)

and we think the needle centre joke is to scare the local residents into loving the noise and vandalism, caused by people leaving the woodside, as is.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 14 October 2004 18:12 (twenty-one years ago)
