Weird how Peter Siddle didn't get another Test. I think he has something.

restraint and blindness (Just got offed), Monday, 10 November 2008 12:15 (seventeen years ago)

And are you talking about Mark Cosgrove?

restraint and blindness (Just got offed), Monday, 10 November 2008 12:16 (seventeen years ago)

No, I'm saying bring Darren Lehmann out of retirement (this was the sports policy of a minor Australian political party).

Germany's second-favourite Australian fat leg spin bowler (King Boy Pato), Monday, 10 November 2008 12:29 (seventeen years ago)

Yeah I know, but there's a new baby BOOF out there nowadays, a maverick who can't tidy his room. I think he's exactly what you need.

restraint and blindness (Just got offed), Monday, 10 November 2008 12:30 (seventeen years ago)

Yeah but I don't think Mark Cosgrove will ever come to terms with being a drinking, smoking, gambling fat bastard like Boof did.

Also racist, cf. "Black bastards!" when given out against Sri Lanka

As the KFC XI take on the Johnnie Walker XI, I am reading a piece of EM Swanton from 1977 delightfully entitled 'And the devil take Kerry Packer': http://content-aus.cricinfo.com/cricketer/content/story/316467.html

Germany's second-favourite Australian fat leg spin bowler (King Boy Pato), Friday, 14 November 2008 11:49 (seventeen years ago)

three weeks pass...

Anyone think the tour will go ahead? I think harmison will pull out and if a few others follow pietersen might bring the entire team home so its a collective decision and no players will carry the can on their own.

Pfunkboy Formerly Known As... (Herman G. Neuname), Sunday, 7 December 2008 18:34 (seventeen years ago)

England's two-Test series in India has been given the go-ahead after players were assured there would be no threat to their safety at a meeting on Sunday.

England, who are currently at a training camp in Abu Dhabi, will take a full squad of players.

England's one-day series in India was cut short after the 26 November terrorist attacks in Mumbai.

Players and staff returned home and were given time alone to decide whether they wanted to return for the Tests.
