The taste is closer to soy sauce I reckon. Soy sauce + Guinness

The new Vegemite won't be on the supermarket shelves until July 5 with the launch being forced on Kraft after the existence of the product became public.
are they worried people will download it from rapidshare or something

Yr next mookie
Also thanks for birthday wishes and for not banning me from the USA <3
― VegemiteGrrl, Monday, 18 April 2011 05:48 (fifteen years ago)
xp Did you spread it thick like peanut butter?
― snythpop revolution (Schlafsack), Monday, 18 April 2011 05:49 (fifteen years ago)
in my experience Americans who've tried it and hated it have done it unsupervised and spread it like peanut butter which is in clear violation of the usage codes...just no helping people
― VegemiteGrrl, Monday, 18 April 2011 05:49 (fifteen years ago)
yeah mookie how did u spread it
― VegemiteGrrl, Monday, 18 April 2011 05:50 (fifteen years ago)
Urg that sounded a little weird out of context lol
I mean you CAN spread it like peanut butter but that's an advanced technique. Newbs and the general public are advised against it unless they absolutely know what they're doing.
― snythpop revolution (Schlafsack), Monday, 18 April 2011 05:52 (fifteen years ago)
I used to suck it off a spoon.
i don't really remember! it was at like a b&b where shit was laid out with no usage codes at all. i was too exhausted from driving on the left to figure it out
― mookieproof, Monday, 18 April 2011 05:54 (fifteen years ago)
hot toast, lotsa butter, scrape of Veg...it should be right on the label for imported jars or at touristy places
― VegemiteGrrl, Monday, 18 April 2011 05:55 (fifteen years ago)
xpost when were you in Australia, mookie?
― VegemiteGrrl, Monday, 18 April 2011 05:56 (fifteen years ago)

― snythpop revolution (Schlafsack), Monday, 18 April 2011 05:57 (fifteen years ago)
new years 2007
still haunted by hook turns tbh
― mookieproof, Monday, 18 April 2011 05:57 (fifteen years ago)
Nothing goes better with matzot than thinly spread Vegemite
― moley, Monday, 18 April 2011 06:01 (fifteen years ago)
Hook turns are easy, you just go into the left lane when you see a tram line, stop in front of a load of cars, wait for the light on the perpendicular road to turn either red, amber or green depending on which rule book you have read, which junction you're at and what year it is, wait for the traffic behind you to fail to stop and then simply continue through unless the oncoming cars aren't paying attention and plough ahead killing you and your family. I fail to see how this is difficult to understand.
― snythpop revolution (Schlafsack), Monday, 18 April 2011 06:01 (fifteen years ago)
Whereas Vegemite is just a thin layer. THIN.
Hahah yeah thats about right. xpost
― Concubine Tree (Trayce), Monday, 18 April 2011 06:02 (fifteen years ago)
oh hook turns ;_; also triple lane roundabout with a tram running through the middle at Royal Parade. Rites of passage/trauma/carnage
xxpost thanks Schlaf <3
― VegemiteGrrl, Monday, 18 April 2011 06:07 (fifteen years ago)
I have navigated that roundabout several thousand times and it still scares the living shit out of me. There's a similar one in Essendon next to the Lincolnshire Arms, i don't even
― snythpop revolution (Schlafsack), Monday, 18 April 2011 06:09 (fifteen years ago)
At some point actual people in an actual room have had an actual conversation about that roundabout.
"What's the most logical route for that tram line?""Straight through the middle of the roundabout"
madness
― snythpop revolution (Schlafsack), Monday, 18 April 2011 06:13 (fifteen years ago)
Vegemite is made from the ENTRAILS of the victims of that shit fyi
akin to trying to cross the traffic circle surrounding the arc de triomphe on foot without realising there's a tunnel, perhaps
― mookieproof, Monday, 18 April 2011 06:14 (fifteen years ago)
Always was convinced it was a fuck-you from whoever designed it to the city council, or something....seriously those kinds of shenanigans should NOT be allowed in city planning
― VegemiteGrrl, Monday, 18 April 2011 06:15 (fifteen years ago)
there's a tunnel under the Arc de Triomph? Good to know
pretty sure the only traffic through that roundabout is out of towners and sadistic parents teaching kids how to drive
― VegemiteGrrl, Monday, 18 April 2011 06:17 (fifteen years ago)
isnack2.0 was a bit of a hook turn for Vegemite
― moley, Monday, 18 April 2011 07:01 (fifteen years ago)
whut is that?
― VegemiteGrrl, Monday, 18 April 2011 07:05 (fifteen years ago)

WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT
― VegemiteGrrl, Monday, 18 April 2011 07:09 (fifteen years ago)
iirc Kraft ran a competition for the public to name a new version of Vegemite that's mixed with cheese. Some feller submitted "iSnack 2.0" and WON, and they actually launched this thing and stacked shelves across the country with it. Within weeks the damage wrought to the brand was so pure that Kraft ditched it and renamed it Cheesybite.
― snythpop revolution (Schlafsack), Monday, 18 April 2011 07:10 (fifteen years ago)
This was an enormous furphy here. Vuvuzela-like moans of disgust were audible across the land.
― snythpop revolution (Schlafsack), Monday, 18 April 2011 07:11 (fifteen years ago)
has American Idol taught people nothing? People are morons! Don't ask them about this stuff!!! Ugh omg lololololol
― VegemiteGrrl, Monday, 18 April 2011 07:12 (fifteen years ago)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vegemite#Vegemite_Cheesybite:_new_recipe
The name was chosen by a panel of marketing and communication experts to appeal to a younger market, capitalising on the popularity of Apple's iPod and iPhone.[19][20] ... On 30 September 2009, only 4 days after the announcement, bowing to significant pressure from consumers, Kraft released plans to abandon the iSnack name
― snythpop revolution (Schlafsack), Monday, 18 April 2011 07:12 (fifteen years ago)
I mean it's all so outlandish that we could be having you on but dead set this was a real thing.
― snythpop revolution (Schlafsack), Monday, 18 April 2011 07:13 (fifteen years ago)
Have they released the tapes from the marketing meeting where they all creamed themselves over iSnack 2.0?
God the backpedalling must have been magical to witness
― VegemiteGrrl, Monday, 18 April 2011 07:14 (fifteen years ago)
Was the competition run through the Herald Sun y/n.....or open only to 20/20 contributors
― VegemiteGrrl, Monday, 18 April 2011 07:15 (fifteen years ago)
loooooooool
― snythpop revolution (Schlafsack), Monday, 18 April 2011 07:18 (fifteen years ago)
I still reckon the whole "oops" of that campaign was a get-attention beatup. NFI why tho, its not like vegemite needs sales boosts.
― Concubine Tree (Trayce), Monday, 18 April 2011 07:21 (fifteen years ago)
p sure American Idol hasn't taught Australian food execs much tbh
