who's seeing linkin park in glasgow on 3rd jun?

ken c (ken c), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:16 (twenty-two years ago)

that's my birthday!

cozen (Cozen), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:17 (twenty-two years ago)

are you going to see linkin park that day?

ken c (ken c), Sunday, 7 March 2004 08:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a cold and I can't afford to go to Gorky's and Yo La Tengo - I've spent all my ticket money on the Mountain Goats and Jonathan Richman. I'm not sure I can even afford to go to the pub quiz tonight, unless somebody can guarantee I'll win the cash :-(

Madchen (Madchen), Sunday, 7 March 2004 09:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Hope you had a good journey home, Ken!

Madchen (Madchen), Sunday, 7 March 2004 09:59 (twenty-two years ago)

The journey was fine! I'm back home now - the three cans of red bull i had proved not to be enough and I ended up sleeping in my car in a service station near Birmingham for an hour!

What fantastic fun it was though, well worth the journey! Had two more hours of sleep when I got back and now I'm off for football! I think I shall be spending tonight sleeping very soundly.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 7 March 2004 12:52 (twenty-two years ago)

oh. my. god.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 7 March 2004 17:16 (twenty-two years ago)

oh. my. god. AND o dear.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 7 March 2004 17:23 (twenty-two years ago)

get your heels out.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 7 March 2004 17:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I feel... terrible this morning.

mmm.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 7 March 2004 17:46 (twenty-two years ago)

b-but it's this afternoon. you should be feeling better.

Ken, I apologise I missed you yet again. please don't take it personally :)

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 7 March 2004 18:43 (twenty-two years ago)

we think we saw PJ, dancing in the captain's rest, last night but we were too intimidated/scared/terrified/laughy to approach.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 7 March 2004 18:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I was more scared of the 'standing in line to see the show tonight' guy. I didn't know Godzilla and King Kong had had a kid together.

Ally C (Ally C), Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:22 (twenty-two years ago)

you are the man who saw the man who saw the man who saw the man who saw the man who saw the man who saw the bear.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Are we going to see Une Femme est Une Femme tonicht?

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:28 (twenty-two years ago)

I think you mean "the nicht."

aye, we are.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:32 (twenty-two years ago)

8:30 PM

feel free to come around, from now on. asshoppers, etc.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:33 (twenty-two years ago)

My ass shall hop along.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:35 (twenty-two years ago)

mine won't. it will be defending our pub quiz title. feel free to remind cook on my behalf that his team won't be winning anything this season, however.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:38 (twenty-two years ago)

the quiz season hasn't begun, in my eyes.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Ken came out this afternoon and played a blinder in goal - second only to the stray German (Willie) we picked up on the lowlands of Primrose Hill as Most Valuable Player; a testament to the restorative powers of Red Bull, surely.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Sunday, 7 March 2004 22:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I stayed in and watched it on video. I'm still pretty ill.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 7 March 2004 22:51 (twenty-two years ago)

you watched ken on primrose hill on video?

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:46 (twenty-two years ago)

He's very ill.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:49 (twenty-two years ago)

no wonder

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Cozen - the cheeky little kid in the shop who asked for a sexier book reminded me of you for some reason.

I realised that it wasn't the film I thought it was. I was thinking of Two or Three Things I Know About Her. Is that about an airport?

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:52 (twenty-two years ago)

because you think I am cheeky?

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:53 (twenty-two years ago)

There was something in his eye.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Tears of sorrow?

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 09:17 (twenty-two years ago)

and in his ear.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 11:44 (twenty-two years ago)

earwax of sorrow?

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 11:45 (twenty-two years ago)

ears are the _________ of the soul.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 11:53 (twenty-two years ago)

aja x (ken c), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 12:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry I didn't make it to the Captain's Log, I was suffering from severe lower back pain and it was a long way. I didn't see any of the messages here otherwise I could have texted Ken. I will just have to wait to get on the RJG/N Friendster axis :-(

Admittedly I might have made more of an effort if I'd known our Woking correspondent was going.

Ken, I will probably see you at one of our London events.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 19:21 (twenty-two years ago)

ears are the doorbells of the soul!!!!!!

hope to see you, next time, PJ.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 19:28 (twenty-two years ago)

I think I tried glasgow too much.

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 20:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Hey, Dick -- any sign of that capo?

the ... pinefox, Tuesday, 9 March 2004 22:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Is this a luddite stand against underscores?

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 22:33 (twenty-two years ago)

hope to see you next time ailsa and pjmiller! cozen given the fact that i didn't see you all last weekend despite having walked/driven through half of glasgow's westend and city centre it's clear that you're not trying glasgow enough!

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 23:11 (twenty-two years ago)

No. It is a way of emphasizing, by means of *withholding* and *suspense*, the name of a pop group, or two, because for once that is pertinent to what I am asking about.

I still want Dick's answer.

the bluefox, Wednesday, 10 March 2004 13:40 (twenty-two years ago)

...to the vagina monologue?

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 17:34 (twenty-two years ago)

TRY AGAIN

no capo, PF. we all want capo.

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 17:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm looking to try some more glasgow.

what you got glasgow?

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 19:51 (twenty-two years ago)

That sounds like something Gary Coleman would say.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 19:56 (twenty-two years ago)

RJG: you do?

Could you give me a view, sincerely, on what you think happened to that capo? You must agree that it did not leave your flat. Except that it did. Or did it? I just don't get it.

Please let me have the official Renfrew theory on this once pressing issue as it now stands.

Also, I think I need a new capo.

the blissfox, Wednesday, 10 March 2004 19:59 (twenty-two years ago)

It's not even possible that COZEN took it. Is it?

I think we were using it the day after he came round and in. And played McCartney and post-rock.

the bluefox, Wednesday, 10 March 2004 19:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I have my own schub capo thankyouverymuch, the pinefox.

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 20:00 (twenty-two years ago)
