okay, so despite my comment about rotting chinese food above, i got a bunch of promo copies of this in the mail. and it can be quite funny-- really like the one about welfare, and the gay bar episode, etc.

here's the thing: i am interviewing Dennis (the suave one) and Dee (the chick, Dennis' sister) tomorrow for a magazine. any questions anybody wants to ask?

i think i mostly just want to talk about drunken hi-jinks.

they are both very nice people. and sometimes that stuff in the mugs is actually real beer, i found out!

I just saw the serial killer episode last night and laughed my ass off.

Charlie is probably one of my most favorite TV characters ever. I, too, thought the second season was a little bit of a let-down. Good to hear they've gotten it back on track for the third.

This season has been as awesome as the first two so far, and Charlie is just amazing. I haven't laughed as painfully hard as anything all year than the "Day Man/Night Man" songs from the episode a couple weeks ago.

I'm amazed at how Charlie's insane screaming ALWAYS makes me laugh. It should've gotten old and annoying by now, but it just gets better.
Great, great show (albeit uneven) and I'm so glad it's managed to last so long. I was sure it wouldn't get a second series, let alone a third, since I've heard so little talk about it.

I like this show! Season 4 is 4 episodes in already! "The Gang Solve the Gas Crisis" is one of the best of the whole series.

yeah when this show is "on" it's pretty hard to beat, lols-wise. there were more than a few stinkers peppered throughout seasons 2 & 3. much <3 for charlie tho. i want to hug that little guy.

This season has been pretty great so far. When Charlie and Sweet Dee are in a scene together, my heart sings.

"Who Pooped the Bed?" is an incredible episode. WOLF HAIR.

I've been a little disappointed with the last few weeks of episodes. The first set of episodes was pretty great, though - it all kind of peaked with "Mac & Charlie Die". I have to admit that scene above in the mailroom was amazing, though.

Tonight was fucking incredible. I didn't actually hear anything they said during the home invasion scene over my own laughter; all I really remember of it was Dennis holding the boombox.

Charlie Kelly is inarguably one of my 5 favorite television characters of all time right behind John Locke and Patrick Star.

Charlie's final song of the Nightman play was one of the most touching things I've ever heard...seriously.

I was so tired I crashed about halfway through the episode last night...and it was the season finale!!

I was laughing so hard at Charlie's awful singing in that last song, I could only make out half the words. I loved how the episode starts off with him asking why for one week, they can't not have some kind of devious plan or not try to screw someone over.

oh man that was fucking amazing. charlie is the greatest protagonist we have ever known.

it wasn't this season's best by any stretch, but still v funny. i was watching it with some folks who weren't familiar withh Day Man/ Night Man, so i think they were a little dissapointed after gettting into it this season.

i also want to say that Mac, who was probably my least favorite character in the first couple of seasons, has landed just under Charlie as the best imo.

The bit with Charlie at the end is probably my favorite moment in this whole series. For a split second the waitress is wide-eyed and astonished and Charlie has the world in the palm of his hand. Surreal and wonderful.

I kinda wasn't feeling that episode actually. Obv it had some moments but it seemed like they were trying to cover too many pop culture obsessions at once. Seems like they're leaning heavy on that this season. Bringing Out the Dead meets the Bear meets Hot Ones meets...I feel like there were more.

This EMT episode does a classic Always Sunny overpacking bit -- doing several distinct plotlines that are linked by one insanely random and stupid thing that a subset of the group is doing. I'm intrigued and appalled by the idea that Charlie's running a ghost kitchen out of the apartment, but I want what's in those food delivery bags

I liked the callback to the “Is it cake?” gag from the previous episode.

The dumbest/funniest inciting incident this season so far is the water jug discussion.

My favorite Sunny trope is when there's one thing they fixate on for an entire episode but then never bring it up again, like the episode where they kept talking about everything being "jammed up" or the one this season where they're talking about making fist-talons of rage.

BF got mad at me bcs right away in that prev episode I said "oh franks not in a coma, thats a cake", and says I ruined everything lol. I thought it was really obvious!

lol I had over thought it and figured Danny couldn't be there that day so they used jank CG to insert him into the scene!

That's one of the great Always Sunny bits, where they introduce some dumb obsession that a character has at the beginning and while everyone else is doing something seemingly unrelated, it turns out that one character was still only thinking about one thing

Something weird that caught my eye. I posted earlier that Rob McElhenney had officially changed his name to Rob Mac, which is distracting but whatever. And indeed every episode I watched this season had him credited in all his roles as Rob Mac ... except the last one, which reverted back to McElhenney. Wonder why? I don't know which specific service I got my copy from, maybe it's different in different places?

imagine episodes maybe not shot/produced in order, maybe that one was finished before the name change and it's just an oversight?

I was googling around and allegedly different countries have different rules when it comes to name changes in credits. Maybe my copy was Canadian or something?

It'd make sense for them to have shot at least portions of that last one first, given the appearance of an actor who passed away

I realized I hadn’t caught up with this show in years and started binging it. I just watched the one where Mac finds his pride, ending with a surprisingly moving dance number. Afterwards I bullied my wife and 15 year old daughter into watching it with me. Up until the payoff they were sighing and not feeling it and afterwards they were almost in tears. It was pretty great.

I think the show is comfort viewing for weirdos? I’m sick and layed up and it’s hitting the spot.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's something to do with having to check his name is spelled correctly on legal documents pertaining to Wrexham. Anyway, he said himself it's not even his family's real name, it was just what the immigration guy wrote down.

Season 17 has appeared on Netflix in Ireland. The first two were really good, and I won't say more than that. It will never not be weird to me that these rundown dirtbags have managed to have so many cosmetic procedures done, though.

I re-watched "The Gang Gets Ready for Prime Time", that is an all time one. They could do that episode live in a theater.
