So I'm living on Netflix time and only eight episodes into the first season, but holy shit...Did this show totally jump the shark after the hilarious pilot, or what? Does it get better later? I hope so. When does Tracy Morgan actually start being funny?

Chuck, if you need undeniably funny TM, the episode with him & Jack @ the country club is it. That said, if you think the pilot was the high point, you're going to find some, um, mild dissent over here.

I love Dennis.

I probably would have dated him because of the "The Hours? More like the Weeks!" comment as well, I've never really had great judgment.

I've never really liked Tim Conway and at first I thought his character was just another snide takeoff of Studio 60, but he really had some great deadpan lines.

If they're still trying to take shots @ a show that's long gone, they need to buy new issues of TV Guide.

I tried watching that show a couple of times and whenever I saw Dennis I just couldn't take it seriously. I kept waiting for him to try to hook up with underage robot girl.

This was a really good episode, although the side-plot with Kenneth showing round that old guy was not funny.

Dennis is so great.

Liz: This is clearly the nicest restaurant we've ever been to.

Dennis: (to Jack) You know there are 17 million rats per person in Manhattan. You eat a pound of rat crap every year without even knowing it, huh?
Jack: I think I read about that in The New Yorker. (pause) Um, anyway, we'll leave you two to your meal. I hope you enjoy the choices that you've made.

Tim Conway's years on the Carol Burnett Show give him a free pass for anything else he does in his tv career, as far as I'm concerned. That said, I thought he was pretty funny last night.
