"In addition to its traditional heavy rail service, Felkoff said that the CTA has considered several modes of transit, including the "Maglev," a magnetic levitation train that posts speeds of 300 miles per hour and is currently in use only in Shanghai."

OMG MAGLEV! MAGLEV!

Sarah, good luck at the dentist! Take lots of deep breaths to relax yourself while you're in the chair and it will be a little easier.

Safety First (pullapartgirl), Thursday, 4 May 2006 19:46 (twenty years ago)

Oh, appparently that's not what they say (or maybe they do on the radio version?). It's really whatcha niggas want.

Thanks, Jenny. It still a while from now. I will hang out at Nordstrom's beforehand and pretend it's a fun outting.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 4 May 2006 19:47 (twenty years ago)

It IS still a while from now.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 4 May 2006 19:48 (twenty years ago)

Have any of you ever been to the bar Happy Village?

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 4 May 2006 19:49 (twenty years ago)

Is it Happy?

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 4 May 2006 19:49 (twenty years ago)

No, I have not even heard of it!

BUT I have just decided that I've done enough work to go to T10 tomorrow after work.

Thus, outing: Trattoria No. 10 for $12 all-u-can-eat delicious Italian food buffet w/ $6 drink minimum tomorrow. I'll be there at 5 pm plus the time it takes me to walk four blooks.

Safety First (pullapartgirl), Thursday, 4 May 2006 19:54 (twenty years ago)

Yes, Sarah, it in fact the happiest.

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 4 May 2006 19:55 (twenty years ago)

mmmm, Italian buffet!

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 4 May 2006 19:56 (twenty years ago)

I would totally go to Trattoria No. 10 tomorrow if I didn't have tickets to the theee-a-ter.

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 4 May 2006 19:57 (twenty years ago)

Too broke. :(

n/a (Nick A.), Thursday, 4 May 2006 19:57 (twenty years ago)

Today my boss: a) bought us all pizza for lunch, b) gave us all $10 gift cards to JAMBA JUICE, and c) gave us all $20 in gift certificates for CENTURY THEATERS. So tomrrow night Sarah and I are going to go see a movie for free and maybe have Jamba Juice.

n/a (Nick A.), Thursday, 4 May 2006 19:58 (twenty years ago)

I have never had Jamba Juice.

n/a (Nick A.), Thursday, 4 May 2006 19:59 (twenty years ago)

happy village has a nice beer garden.

otto midnight (otto midnight), Thursday, 4 May 2006 19:59 (twenty years ago)

your boss rulz

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:00 (twenty years ago)

I would totally go Trattoria No. 10 tomorrow if I didn't have an art opening to attend.

xpost Jamba Juice is kind of gross, IMHO.

Holy makkara, Toivo! (OutDatWay), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:01 (twenty years ago)

Also I like how my boss sometimes doesn't shave and comes to work all stubbly. It makes me feel better for only shaving with the electric razor for like 30 seconds every morning.

n/a (Nick A.), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:01 (twenty years ago)

"art opening"

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:01 (twenty years ago)

"attend"

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:01 (twenty years ago)

it is so much more than a "beer garden" tho.

gbx (skowly), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:01 (twenty years ago)

As corporate as it is, Jamba Juice is pretty good! (xpost haha)

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:03 (twenty years ago)

Nick has competition. I am worried I might be falling in love with another man... The Margarita Man that is!

I would love to eat Italian food, but it turns out I can't do anything that costs me money until next payday, the 15th. :-(

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:03 (twenty years ago)

it is rediculously close to my apartment as well. and thus, close to nick and sarah's.

otto midnight (otto midnight), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:04 (twenty years ago)

What time is the opening? Can you come eat delicious Italian food first?

Yeah, the payday thing is kind of a sticky wicket. I wish we all had lots of money!

Safety First (pullapartgirl), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:04 (twenty years ago)

I bet you would all have much more money if you lived in Wisconsin.

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:06 (twenty years ago)

is it saturday that the ff's are at hideout? THIS saturday?

otto midnight (otto midnight), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:06 (twenty years ago)

yes, this sat.

n/a (Nick A.), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:07 (twenty years ago)

dang, gonna miss it.

otto midnight (otto midnight), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:07 (twenty years ago)

I'm sorry for being a whiner about money (again). It sounds like a fun night. I'm glad we'll have a free fun night on Nick's boss though (not..um... literally).

Yeah, we should all hang out at Happy Village sometime and check it out.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:08 (twenty years ago)

What time is the opening? Can you come eat delicious Italian food first?

5.

Holy makkara, Toivo! (OutDatWay), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:09 (twenty years ago)

And I'm already going to be late on account of me having an actual job, unline art students.

Holy makkara, Toivo! (OutDatWay), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:10 (twenty years ago)

unline = unlike

Holy makkara, Toivo! (OutDatWay), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:10 (twenty years ago)

"attend"

Well, makeout stuff aside, this is the culmination of basically my best friend in Chicago's career to this point. Of course, until her Sm|thson|an show opens...

Holy makkara, Toivo! (OutDatWay), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:12 (twenty years ago)

You're not whining, Sarah! I totally understand. Last night I whined about not being able to afford new shoes to the point where Jeff actually told me to stop whining.

Shoooooooeeeeeeesssssss

Safety First (pullapartgirl), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:14 (twenty years ago)

Best wishes to your friend, Dan! I hope it goes really well!

Safety First (pullapartgirl), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:16 (twenty years ago)

My sandles look like crap! I hate them and their family! They are bulky and ugly and an insult to my sense of style. I've had them forever. I want something fun and comfortable and classy.

In other words, I agree. I also feel the need for new shoes.

Time to go floss again and leave. BYYYYEEEEEE!!!!!

(What's up Saturday, otto? a.k.a. who is our competition??)

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:18 (twenty years ago)

time for me to go too but i'm going to sub-t for the tunnel of love/mighty go go players show. i forget who they're supporting but i really want to see tunnel of love.

otto midnight (otto midnight), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:22 (twenty years ago)

How come the only apples that places like delis and 7-11s ever have are, like, Red Delicious and Granny Smith? Boo.

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:28 (twenty years ago)

7-11s have apples?!

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:30 (twenty years ago)

The one next to my office does.

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 4 May 2006 20:31 (twenty years ago)
