I know, I know.

"leon, leon, she's cooler than freon"

s/c (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 22 August 2005 18:34 (twenty years ago)

It would probably involve either drinking or inhaling the freon.

Leon C. (Ex Leon), Monday, 22 August 2005 18:37 (twenty years ago)

Heavens.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 22 August 2005 18:39 (twenty years ago)

We all know it's you, Ned.

Adam In Real Life (nordicskilla), Monday, 22 August 2005 18:56 (twenty years ago)

I don't. I think Michael Costello went back to the woodshed and this is what he came up with.

k/l (Ken L), Monday, 22 August 2005 18:57 (twenty years ago)

I am Mike Skinner now??!!

Thank you so much JJJ!

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 22 August 2005 19:05 (twenty years ago)

The Ronan Jingle will be on every MP3 blog tomorrow.

I'm Hi, Jared Fogle (ex machina), Monday, 22 August 2005 22:30 (twenty years ago)

The Ronan one is pretty amazing.

I was listening to a bunch of these right now, and then, quite coincidentally, my iTunes jumped to "Milkman" by Aphex Twin. It seemed not entirely out of line.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 02:57 (twenty years ago)

I can't stop listening to Ronan's theme. It totally kicks ass.

Paunchy Stratego (kenan), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 03:47 (twenty years ago)

These are awesome!

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 03:48 (twenty years ago)

This is going to affect the last.fm ranking for sure!

I'm Hi, Jared Fogle (ex machina), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 04:39 (twenty years ago)

Good call! I would love a jingle if John Jacob Jinglesmith would so oblige.

walter kranz (walterkranz), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 04:53 (twenty years ago)

The Ronan theme could be adapted into just a really good remix of 'The Box' - Skinner vox removed obv.

So anyway, my theory is that this is Lance Lockarm moonlighting...

Sociah T Azzahole (blueski), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 10:35 (twenty years ago)

No, I think whoever it is does jingles for crackers and other assorted snack foods.

Leon C. (Ex Leon), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 12:23 (twenty years ago)

I didn't think anyone on ILX had that good a job.

Sociah T Azzahole (blueski), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 12:26 (twenty years ago)

I know who it is, but I'm not telling.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 12:39 (twenty years ago)

Oh, wow. These are really good! Please add to me to the ever-growing list! I'm guessing this is an ILX regular, so you should know I normally go by Sarah McLusky. *mwah!*

Kittens Licking Cakes (coco), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 12:54 (twenty years ago)

Haven't heard one of these yet, but 100 ILX posters can't be wrong.

Hey JingleCo! Plz to hook me up on the Jordy-fronting-AC/DC tip.

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 13:01 (twenty years ago)

I'd like to be on the list! I'm not a regular, but I can change! Use my whole name - Simon Howell - if you do...make it j-pop!

Simon H. (Simon H.), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 13:15 (twenty years ago)

John Jacob Jinglesource, Tuesday, 23 August 2005 17:18 (twenty years ago)

yay!

The Original Jimmy Mod: Kind Warrior (The Famous Jimmy Mod), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 17:21 (twenty years ago)

Dean's is like a Blueberry Boat outtake.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 17:28 (twenty years ago)

so thats what pttl stands for

fe7 (FE7), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 17:35 (twenty years ago)

I'm afraid I am going to have to request that the Garu G jingle be taken down temporarily. As some of you already know, his grandmother passed away during the early hours of this morning. We are all quite shocked by this news, and feel maybe the lyrics to the Garu G jingle are a touch inappropriate. Of course, we do not blame Jinglesource as they could not have predicted this tragedy, yet we do suggest maybe as a gesture to Garu that a tribute to Meryl G is made instead.

On behalf of Garu, many thanks.

Sociah T Azzahole (blueski), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 18:28 (twenty years ago)

Oh my god, these are fantastic. If I please could have a jingle too, it would make me love everything so much more...

chrisco (chrisco), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 18:36 (twenty years ago)

Causistry's stirs my sould like a gentle summer breeze.

Paunchy Stratego (kenan), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 18:52 (twenty years ago)

soul, even

Paunchy Stratego (kenan), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 18:52 (twenty years ago)

And Jeff's theme make me think of autumn nights when you can smell fireplaces.

Paunchy Stratego (kenan), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 18:55 (twenty years ago)

And weed. Gotta have weed.

Paunchy Stratego (kenan), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 18:55 (twenty years ago)

In the fireplace?

Anyhow, I'd like to add my name to the probably at this point impossible to complete massive pile of names to jingle-ize, please and thank you, sir(s).

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 19:10 (twenty years ago)

I love mine, except that I post as "Casuistry", not "Causistry", which isn't a word. Otherwise 100% awesome, am satisfied, will order from this jingleur again.

Casuistry (Chris P), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 19:29 (twenty years ago)

Dean's is highly appropriate.

Adam In Real Life (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 19:33 (twenty years ago)

OMG, i totally missed mine. I have to listen to it when I'm not at work though.

Jeff-PTTL (Jeff), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 19:34 (twenty years ago)

Causistry's is also very beautiful.

Adam In Real Life (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 19:36 (twenty years ago)

Uhm, I'd like one, tho i do fear the results.

kingfish (kingfish 2.0), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 19:39 (twenty years ago)

oh, and if we are requesting sounds, could i get something like Stars' "Ageless Beauty" or M83's "Teen Angst"?

kingfish fucked up his login (kingfish 2.0), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 19:42 (twenty years ago)

No. You get superhero theme music.

Paunchy Stratego (kenan), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 19:45 (twenty years ago)

Dean's is highly appropriate.

I'll have to take your word for it.

Dr. Glen Y. Abreu (dr g), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 19:46 (twenty years ago)

(xpost) those are both great songs, though.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 19:46 (twenty years ago)

I'm playing to cool but it's terribly cruel / Kate RECOMMENDED

John Jacob Jinglesmith, Tuesday, 23 August 2005 20:58 (twenty years ago)

d'oh!

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Tuesday, 23 August 2005 21:02 (twenty years ago)

Sweet Jeebus, this is the good stuff. And, yeah, it's like so obvious who this is, NED.

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 22:36 (twenty years ago)

On behalf of our staff, I'd like to ask that those of you who think you know the identities of Jinglesource employees please keep this thread clear of hinting, speculation, and the like. Is it not enough that these fine people have dedicated their lives to providing high-quality jingles for you, gratis? Must they also be dragged into the light, subjected to your poking and prodding and evaluation? Leave them be, friends, leave them be.

John Jacob Jinglesmith, Tuesday, 23 August 2005 22:39 (twenty years ago)

i keep being forgotten :(

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 22:51 (twenty years ago)

Oh thankyou thankyou thankyou for my jingle John Jacob Jinglesource. It is wonderful. I think I will put it on a CD and play it all day in the car. If making people smile is a powerful thing, by god you've harnessed it!

I'm playing it cool but it's terribly cruel / Kate (papa november), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 23:19 (twenty years ago)

:-D

Wow. This is really amazing stuff. I'm in love with Hurting's, Kate's and GARU's jingles (and aside from heavily lurking I don't even really *know* them :-)).
Listening to all these in a row gives me a Magnetic Fields - 69 Love Songs feeling. 'Cause obviously, these all are really just plain, gorgeous love songs.

And perhaps for a first as a lurker, I'd like to aply for a jingle, if that at all is possible.

Gerard (Gerard), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 23:45 (twenty years ago)

Oh Jingler! Wow!

I'm afraid you already have too many requests than you can handle, but I would like to request one on my husband Scott Seward's behalf anyway.

Then if you have time one for me, Maria :D, or actually not for me but for the nascent radio station I'm trying to start, WVVY, that would be grand. Your rules expressly stipulate noncommercial use. I assure you that WVVY would never *ever* use the jingle except for noncommercial purposes, like raising money. As WVVY is not a person or a poster on ILX, perhaps this request does not qualify. If it doesn't, then I would love one for myself, the person Maria :D

I'm really loving listening to them. Your underwater studio must be sweet!
