not sure about that re. video chat, though on a mobile I tend to agree (and maybe that's what you're saying); but lately Skype video chats have been the thing, professionally, for me, even with old folks---something's changing wrt the idea of bothering to do a vchat at least

Simple attrition. I was trimming things back in my RSS reader and couldn't come up with a reason to keep reading DF. If there's something worth reading over there, usually someone else I read will link to it.
