BLACK COCK

El Tomboto, Friday, 26 October 2007 20:45 (eighteen years ago)

the only reason i can be on this thread is because i don't watch the show. i'm amused by hundreds of ilxors trying not to hear the sound as YUB NUB or BIG DICK the next time they watch it, tho.

xpost: or that

DUNK DUHN

The Reverend, Saturday, 27 October 2007 07:19 (eighteen years ago)

While watching the show I always imitate the sound and it's kind of a *ching ching* for me.

Kate, non masonic, Saturday, 27 October 2007 19:19 (eighteen years ago)

I would have thought "kuh-kung."

roxymuzak, Saturday, 27 October 2007 21:41 (eighteen years ago)

ROSE BUD

wanko ergo sum, Saturday, 27 October 2007 21:55 (eighteen years ago)

UPDATE: It had not occurred to me that they have variations on the signature sound, from the low dunk-dunk to the high ch-chhhh. But if you go by the repeating-sound gag in this YouTube clip

http://youtube.com/watch?v=5xM2XY4h-70

the first iteration is very clearly way more accented -- in the single-echo way I was talking about upthread.

nabisco, Saturday, 27 October 2007 22:51 (eighteen years ago)

AND if you listen at the beginning of this clip, you will notice the second one seems maybe even slightly lower in pitch?

http://youtube.com/watch?v=dCV5G-ZTc14

nabisco, Saturday, 27 October 2007 22:59 (eighteen years ago)

(I think there is a repeating sound with two different tones mixed in, for a kind of doorbell-like DUNG dung.)

nabisco, Saturday, 27 October 2007 23:00 (eighteen years ago)

each spinoff ought to have its own signature tone really
the CI one could just be a guy saying "donofrio!!"

El Tomboto, Monday, 29 October 2007 16:37 (eighteen years ago)

No, the CI one should be the clip of D'Onofrio whinnying like a horse.

n/a, Monday, 29 October 2007 16:39 (eighteen years ago)

The one for Trial By Jury should be the anguished squeal of a man getting punched in the nuts.

I wish I had sound right now

El Tomboto, Monday, 29 October 2007 17:33 (eighteen years ago)

HI DERE, Monday, 29 October 2007 17:37 (eighteen years ago)

Minus the Spanish exclamation points, this looks like a Wade-Giles transliteration of a Pinyin version already mentioned.
