OK. here goes:

So, some of you (maybe just J.) have met my friend Erica, who is about to graduate from SAIC. She is having a big fancypants final show with some other girls tomorrow (http://www.myspace.com/tha_golden_girls). So, one of the other girls, who I had met a few times, is doing this project focusing on (as I understand it) how she is not attracted to white men. Don't ask me about how art works... Anyway, I, as a white man, was asked to be a part of this project, which involves her making out with various other white dudes (not at the same time) and taping it, then editing some sort of short film out of it. It was apparently a big deal that I was in it, because all the other guys were "skinny, pasty, wimpy art boys" (paraphrased) and I am not any of those things besides pasty. DMX is part of the soundtrack and Grace Jones is involved somehow, that's all I know.

It was pretty fun. She's a nice person.

Has it occurred to anyone else that I spend the majority of my time with you guys (CHILXors) justifying why I know or don't know something?

J., this isn't unrelated to that moment when you started getting some action and switched from talking about not getting any action to talking about not getting any hard drugs.

Eazy (Eazy), Thursday, 4 May 2006 18:21 (twenty years ago)

I AM NOT ATTRACTED TO YOU

Laurel (Laurel), Thursday, 4 May 2006 18:49 (twenty years ago)

I'd like to see a Billy Collins book (or another poet) with a photo of his arms turning into No. 2 pencils.

Eazy (Eazy), Thursday, 4 May 2006 18:51 (twenty years ago)

John, I seriously would bet you $20 that you DO have a spare in your car. Did you look UNDER the floor mat in your trunk? Unless it was stolen when your car was stolen, it is there. ALL cars come with a "doughnut" (small, solid rubber tire).

Whispy Fandango Triphop (unclejessjess), Thursday, 4 May 2006 18:51 (twenty years ago)

Like I said, I was enjoying some Alice last night, so I guess I choose him too, although I claim firsties. Also, my friend Missy was OBSESSED with his late hit "Poison" and I have fond memories of that hilariously bad song.

The Milkmaid (82375538-A) (The Milkmaid), Thursday, 4 May 2006 18:52 (twenty years ago)

Yes, I looked, Jesse! I'm familiar enough with spare tires to know that I don't have one. Maybe my mom used it once when she owned the car.

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 4 May 2006 18:52 (twenty years ago)

Or yeah, maybe it was stolen.

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 4 May 2006 18:53 (twenty years ago)

Perhaps it's under the car. You lie down in the street and check while I drive the car over you repeatedly.
