friday night

sitting in my parents' beach house w/ brother-in-law while my sister and nephew sleep in the next room, and my girlfriend hangs out with her parents on a fun vacation :(

xps - idk why although this girl is notoriously moody & quick to feel slighted but this is the 3rd time shes flaked on me w/ no excuse.

spent the day packing up my shit--moving is always depressing somehow even tho i'm psyched for my new sitch. now i'm trying to finish off bottles of booze and getting a little misty as my favorite team heads to the finals.

Man I hope no one ever thinks I'm friend-dumping them. I'm always difficult to get a hold of on the phone and worse about calling back. I worry about that sometimes.

Just chilling at home with fallback movie (ie, something I can play at any time just to kill time in the background) Raiders of the Lost Ark playing while I sort through a slew of discs for sellback tomorrow. Would love to be at Bottled Smoke tonight but that didn't work out, but tomorrow's afternoon sets will be another story...

I'm dropping my wife off at the airport, and then going out for a drink. Will be in bed by 11 at the absolute latest.

Took a friend to Ralphs, was approached in the parking lot by a pretty young woman and asked if I could drive her around the corner. She may or may not have been a prostitute and I said I couldn't. Watching some Larry Sanders show.

Just trying to stay awake so I can't get back into my new graveyard shift sleep cycle (interrupted by two days of roof work, combined with stress related to yet-to-be-resolved turmoil at work). I am too exhausted, wired, tense, etc. to try to go out and do anything social even if I felt so inclined. I'm not even up to laundry. This is my life and I hate it. At least I seem to be receptive to some recordings I haven't quite heard with full attention until tonight.

had a sweet friday, am off for two weeks and saving money cos am going to spain for a few days on thurs. so one of my friends who's coming with me came to mine and i cooked dinner, smoked haddock and sweet potato, plus we shared a bottle of wine then had some ice cream with strawberries and melted chocolate. then watched five easy pieces...tho i fell asleep after an hour. still a great friday.

i've been up since 4:00am and gotta get up at 7:00 tmr, so like, gonna be putting around with my records and playing guitar in between surfing the net and then going to sleep at old ppl time. again.

My husband's up at the new house with my mother-in-law, so I'm alone tonight. Did my regular five-hour Friday evening shift, almost bought some wine to drink tonight but decided on cupcakes instead, came home, ate some frozen food, boiled up some leftover rib bones for the dogs for later, went to bed early because I have a 7am-6pm shift tomorrow. That's all.

was at rehearsal for The Crucible from 6:30 pm until 11:30 pm. memorized half my lines in one night. uber tired but I love a challenge and this is very worth it.
