adam. (nordicskilla), Saturday, 25 September 2004 17:34 (twenty-one years ago)

The Lovemakers make out on stage!!! (they're pretty good too). Leslie is very nice and approachable.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Saturday, 25 September 2004 17:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Saturday, 25 September 2004 17:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Okay, this is kind of a long shot but...do any of the SF posters have a digital video camera that I could use for, like, half an hour? Heh.

I only have a European camera and need an NTSC cam to dump some footage onto my laptop.

Whenever I pass on stuff like this to my mistress it means another boring hour of bootlicking before she puts the clamps on my nipples and starts whipping my nuts but if you think it's important....

Michael White (Hereward), Monday, 11 October 2004 21:38 (twenty-one years ago)

BOOTLICKING NEVER GETS BORING!

JaXoN (JasonD), Monday, 11 October 2004 21:41 (twenty-one years ago)

THE FIRST REAL SAMPLE SALE SAN FRANCISCO HAS EVER SEEN

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 11 October 2004 21:42 (twenty-one years ago)

BOOTLICKING NEVER GETS BORING!
It's after the bootlicking and whipping when she makes you post ads on your favorite board that it get's boring.

THE FIRST REAL SAMPLE SALE SAN FRANCISCO HAS EVER SEEN
Why does this sound like disinformation/hyperbole to me?

Michael White (Hereward), Monday, 11 October 2004 21:49 (twenty-one years ago)

THOSE OTHER'S WERE IMAGINARY!!

JaXoN (JasonD), Monday, 11 October 2004 21:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Is this like Trader Joes where I can eat the samples?

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Monday, 11 October 2004 22:03 (twenty-one years ago)

YES!

JaXoN (JasonD), Monday, 11 October 2004 22:14 (twenty-one years ago)

JaXoN (JasonD), Monday, 11 October 2004 22:39 (twenty-one years ago)

i was walking down the street today and some guy asked me if my last name was Levine. i said, 'no, but i know a Levine. who are you looking for?' he was looking for a Mark, some friend of his that he hadn't seen in 10 years.

i say anti-semitism. what, all (1/2)jews look alike?!

JaXoN (JasonD), Tuesday, 12 October 2004 01:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Don't know any Marks, sorry.

adam. (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 12 October 2004 01:28 (twenty-one years ago)

one year passes...
hi! Waht is recommended place for eating near Broadway/Van Ness? That is where my hotel is and I'm thinking on Sunday when I get in we're not gonna want to do too much wandering for tiredness. Someone recommended me something along the lines of Okozu, Okozo Sushi? Doesn't have to be sushi recs though! It would be appreciated...

I wish I could remember the name of the whole-in-the-wall Indian place we ate it as it was seriously the best Indian food I've ever eaten in the US. Also it was ridiculously cheap; I think the entrees were something like $4 each.

Dan (Num Num) Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 20:22 (twenty years ago)

Wow is my neighborhood "Russian Hill"? That is the coolest neighborhood name, hooray!

Allyzay Rofflesberger (allyzay), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 20:24 (twenty years ago)

Actually you should go to Sausalito and eat here.

Dan (Hmm) Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 20:27 (twenty years ago)

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2004/03/31/FDGP35SNEN1.DTL&type=food

Here's the place we went! It was AWESOME. I have no idea how close it is to your hotel, though.

Dan (Best Indian Food Ever) Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 20:27 (twenty years ago)

Don't go to sushi on Sundays!!!!

Ozoke is okay. Go the other direction (west) towards Japantown, specifically Ino upstairs at the Miyako Mall.

Indian/Pakistanian food is all over the tenderloin (the tandoorloin). Shalimar's really good.

Your hotel's neighborhood is VAN NESS/BROADWAY. It's in between Russian Hill/NobHill/Tenderloin/Pacific Heights.

There's a great restaurant near there called Street. Nick's Crispy Tacos is Jax0n's favorite eatery around there. Harris' Steakhouse if you feel like meat.

Steve Shasta (Steve Shasta), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 20:30 (twenty years ago)

There are about 7 Naan N Curry's in SF. It won't be hard to find one.

Steve Shasta (Steve Shasta), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 20:31 (twenty years ago)

Well we will be heading that direction at some point so it's good to have recommendations!! We're there the entire week, Sunday-Sunday. You just made my stomach growl for indian food.

xpost Ino? I will remember that one, you are the best with sushi recs. I really didn't even consider the sunday + sushi being hmmmy proposition angle though. I'm having a long day.

I'm going to bookmark this thread and try to remember some of the names of recommended spots so while I'm walking around if I spot one I can try it out.

Allyzay Rofflesberger (allyzay), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 20:34 (twenty years ago)

It's not close at all, but there is a Naan'N'Curry (it's basically the same) down on Jackson and Columbus which is not ridiculously far away.

Broadway & Van Ness is kind of tough. I seem to remember a good Vietnamese place on Polk around there (oh I just checked Dan's link--it's called Lemon Grass) and you are a short-ish walk to Hyde St and there are a bunch of nice-ish bistros (1550 Hyde is supposed to be good and I like the tapas at Zarzuela) around there. If you want expensive beef the House of Prime Rib is well uh excessive.

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 20:35 (twenty years ago)

Tommy's Joint is the only place you need!! Best bison stew EVAH. It's the genuine Gold Rush experience, drinking hard liquor while you clog your arteries with game meat.

Ally's staying in the Pac-Russian Tender Nob?

Yoo Doo Nut (donut), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 20:39 (twenty years ago)

It's easier to say she's staying on 101.

Steve Shasta (Steve Shasta), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 20:41 (twenty years ago)

Andy, have you ever been to the hot tubs? Be honest.

Steve Shasta (Steve Shasta), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 20:43 (twenty years ago)

That goes for Alex too (I know you grew up here).

Steve Shasta (Steve Shasta), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 20:44 (twenty years ago)

you should spend the whole time walking around going "Frisco... Frisco..." a la Dr. Dre

gabbneb (gabbneb), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 20:47 (twenty years ago)

Mm, no, public tubbing weirds me out. xpost

andy --, Wednesday, 29 March 2006 20:48 (twenty years ago)

No, no hot tubs for me.

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 20:48 (twenty years ago)

I know a girl who went there on a first date! Classy guy! She's my only source. She says it's very chlorinated (as it should be?!?)

Steve Shasta (Steve Shasta), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 20:50 (twenty years ago)

I seem to remember a good Vietnamese place on Polk around there (oh I just checked Dan's link--it's called Lemon Grass)

I was kinda underwhelmed by this place but it wasn't bad or anything. There is also another underwhelming thai or vietnamese (can't remember) place across the street from it.

polyphonic (polyphonic), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 20:55 (twenty years ago)

Ozone Thai? It used to be Gengis Khan Mongolian BBQ, now it's a "thai sportsbar" (wtf?)

Steve Shasta (Steve Shasta), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 20:55 (twenty years ago)

NICK'S CRISPY TACOS!

team jaxon (jaxon), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 21:18 (twenty years ago)

I could go for a Crispy Taco right now, jesus god I'm hungry.
