looove Nice Pete's smile at the end of today's!
― the standing cat (sic), Monday, 24 May 2010 13:50 (sixteen years ago)
I was somewhat annoyed at the couple bickering in the house about the presumptive drug addict on their lawn, but in retrospect it was a decent counterpoint to Nice Pete's mode of human interaction.
Pete expressing joy that he's given a proper role in his high school fantasy is great.

my feelings on the current storyline are moving from indifference to outright hatred; if it doesn't wrap up soon i'm just gonna drop this
― Nhex, Wednesday, 23 June 2010 03:37 (fifteen years ago)
yeah what the fuck. also are beef and ray even in this comic anymore or what
― kilgour's chronic (electricsound), Wednesday, 23 June 2010 03:41 (fifteen years ago)
seriously though what the fuck
― I have been forks-style since day one (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 23 June 2010 04:18 (fifteen years ago)
I am ok with this story.
― breaking that little dog's heart chakra (Abbott), Wednesday, 23 June 2010 04:21 (fifteen years ago)
I am thumbs up with this story. There are hundreds of pages with Beef and Ray to read already, there will probably be hundreds more to come.
― dyaon't (sic), Wednesday, 23 June 2010 04:25 (fifteen years ago)
It's been successful at being at total meltdown, and I think that's what it was going for.
I tend to be entertained/terrified by Nice Pete stories.
― breaking that little dog's heart chakra (Abbott), Wednesday, 23 June 2010 04:26 (fifteen years ago)
It's better than Philippe going home.
― Dan I., Wednesday, 23 June 2010 04:57 (fifteen years ago)
i really feel that nice pete is going to finally gain enough some personal insights to learn a valuable life lesson this time, even if it takes literally eating the faces of teodor and the elderly homosexual, lips first
― del griffith, Wednesday, 23 June 2010 05:20 (fifteen years ago)
hey look at me not talking a good formed sentence
man, i never read this thing. just caught up on like six months worth:
he smoked in the house, which made their cereal have a terrible flavor
dirt ain't exactly nature's choosiest substance when it comes to having recently been other stuff
DO CORRECT DIRT ACTIVITIES! HAVE A WORM WITH A YARN HAT POKE OUT
RON OF THE DESERT PEANUT BUTTER LIP BALM SURVIVAL DISPENSER
"Big Mac" toilet flush situation indicator
after that, though, kind of a desert. worried about nice pete.

Theodore is done-zo.
― Official Cheese-Filled Snack of NASCAR since 2002 (B.L.A.M.), Wednesday, 23 June 2010 16:15 (fifteen years ago)
Teodor is going to be all right, though
― dyaon't (sic), Wednesday, 23 June 2010 21:20 (fifteen years ago)
He might die, but characters do that all the time in this strip and come back from it. My guess is that he'll find a knife in Nathan's pocket, or something he can pick the lock with.
― Grisly Addams (WmC), Wednesday, 23 June 2010 22:19 (fifteen years ago)
Dude. this is some messed up stuff.
― Official Cheese-Filled Snack of NASCAR since 2002 (B.L.A.M.), Monday, 28 June 2010 20:05 (fifteen years ago)
in addition to being a rewrite of the philippe/ice cream shop story, this is so bad
― call all destroyer, Monday, 28 June 2010 20:20 (fifteen years ago)
I hope this is a Teodor redemption story. the dude has basically lost an average of one dignity per story arc since achewood began, i'd love to see him cold murder nice pete in self defence.
― Slumpman, Monday, 28 June 2010 22:40 (fifteen years ago)
^^about the only thing that could save this
― call all destroyer, Monday, 28 June 2010 22:50 (fifteen years ago)
it's about time Nice Pete actually placed a lead character in mortal peril, instead of merely being the adorable neighbourhood serial killer
that said, awww, look at his wittle smile when T bottles out of throwing the Molotov
― how much can a koala ˁ˚ᴥ˚ˀ (sic), Monday, 28 June 2010 23:58 (fifteen years ago)
***PEDANTRY ALERT*** uh I don't think teodor "bottled out" of doing anything; looks more like nice pete's shadow somehow produced a molotov from thin air, peeled open the gate, and tossed it back there
― INSUFFICIENT FUN (bernard snowy), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 00:15 (fifteen years ago)
shit, you're right. there must be a hovering ball of gas flying along the median strip at the same pace as the van.
― how much can a koala ˁ˚ᴥ˚ˀ (sic), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 00:25 (fifteen years ago)
rip "bottled out" wordplay
― how much can a koala ˁ˚ᴥ˚ˀ (sic), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 00:26 (fifteen years ago)
yeah I liked it even as I was smh
― INSUFFICIENT FUN (bernard snowy), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 00:32 (fifteen years ago)
sic find the philippe/ice cream arc; this has happened before
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 29 June 2010 00:51 (fifteen years ago)
except that ray and beef don't care enough about teodor to save him
― mookinho (mookieproof), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 01:08 (fifteen years ago)
yeah, not feeling this

― underwater, please (bear, bear, bear), Tuesday, 6 July 2010 20:52 (fifteen years ago)
i'd say for years now the strip itself hasn't been doing anything much other than perpetuating a source for ondstad's related merch/reg-only revenue. he should just get a restaurant gig already and be done with it
― Bangelo, Tuesday, 6 July 2010 21:01 (fifteen years ago)
onstad
I don't know, it took about two months for them to ship my damn Sex Bicycle t-shirt, I don't think the shop operates that smoothly.
― mh, Tuesday, 6 July 2010 22:03 (fifteen years ago)
what's with the sudden change in art style? that is weird
― thomp, Tuesday, 6 July 2010 22:19 (fifteen years ago)
i think this is a well written arc, day by day, although whether it is well constructed on a larger scale i do not know
― thomp, Tuesday, 6 July 2010 22:20 (fifteen years ago)
Yeah, I'm enjoying the content. It feels properly demented like achewood of old.
― kkvgz, Tuesday, 6 July 2010 22:31 (fifteen years ago)

― good news if you wear cargo shorts (contenderizer), Friday, 9 July 2010 18:16 (fifteen years ago)
This arc is just getting worse and worse. Three day wait for 12 panels of Teodor giving an elderly guy a handjob? Give me Ray and Beef getting high or something.
