It's a good thing hardly anyone watches SNL anymore.

oh god that handgun gag! I laughed more than I've laughed in months!
and the bit about matt damon going to the Whitehouse and watching the Obamas sleep.
Michael Sheen is probably the best guest they've had on. Maybe.

the whole "birth control pill that gives you one period a year" gag (Dodecanol?) is from the "Annuale" fake ad on SNL when Tina Fey was on

dmr, Friday, 21 May 2010 19:31 (sixteen years ago)

And when you get that one period - hang on to your fucking hat

dmr, Friday, 21 May 2010 19:31 (sixteen years ago)

last week's was funnier but it was an ok finale I thought

dmr, Friday, 21 May 2010 19:32 (sixteen years ago)

i thought this was a pretty weak episode esp by tina fey's standards -- altho it did remind me that Feyonce is my favorite joke ever

I just saw the first Mr. Mayhem commercial. Weird that it was just pretty much a teaser for commercials to come, but the more Dennis Duffy on television the better.

Efraqueen Juárez (jim in glasgow), Sunday, 1 August 2010 09:32 (fifteen years ago)

pretty amazing after seeing kids are all right tp find out that she is only 2 years younger than annette benning. most people guess 10-15.

mizzell, Sunday, 1 August 2010 21:57 (fifteen years ago)

It's not so much that I thought she was like 40 so much as a sort of fine-vintage-wine in terms of WSability and age. In my opinion she looked better in 30 rock than in say, Shortcuts. But that's just me.

So the DVD set for season 4 is out now. One of the commentaries is just Jack McBrayer and Jon Hamm, here is an alleged excerpt:

Jon Hamm: That was a very veiled Mad Men reference. I don’t know if you knew that.
Jack McBrayer: Wait, what did he say?
Jon Hamm: Looking out the window, holding a glass of scotch.
Jack McBrayer: It is??
Jon Hamm: To me it is.
Jack McBrayer: Ugh. This is going to be the longest 22 minutes of my life.

it sucks and you all love something that sucks (reddening), Wednesday, 22 September 2010 22:21 (fifteen years ago)

still wondering why Donald Glover and Gillian Jacobs did a commentary.

No Good, Scrunty-Looking, Narf Herder (Gukbe), Wednesday, 22 September 2010 22:27 (fifteen years ago)

donald glover was a writer before he started community

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 22 September 2010 22:33 (fifteen years ago)

idk about gillian jacobs tho

i guess cuz they're both funny and are on a show that lots of 30 rock viewers like?

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 22 September 2010 22:33 (fifteen years ago)

the clip in the commercial is hilarious

liz: i'm gonna be on tv tonight
dr. spacemen: really? are you sure you don't mean radio?

I want to start a thread about Outsourced with people betting on how many weeks it will last before it gets canceled, but what's the point? It won't be long.
