The team recorded footage of a female worm-like amphibian, called a caecilian, allowing her young to peel off and eat her skin.Scientists have only recently discovered this bizarre parental behaviour. The female caecilian's skin becomes thicker and more nutrient-rich when she bears offspring. And the young have specialised teeth for tearing and removing it.

the hagfish
http://pirosfera.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/hagfish.jpg
the hagfish's trick is exuding loads of mucus-slime to escape predators and clog fish gills to suffocate them. then they tie themselves in knots to scrape the slime off. they are known to eat their prey from the inside out. they have four hearts and two brains and their gametes are released through openings in their digestive system.

I waitered at a fine dining restaurant in Chicago in a building in which a major US advertising firm is based. In one of the dining areas they would display enormous prints of ads produced by that firm. For months, there was a wall-sized print of a n@ked m0le r@t for an IL zoo (I think?) above the tables of this expensive seafood restaurant.

scary!
The Madagascar cockroach has become a popular pet because of its hissing sound, large size, and appearance. Their nickname, "hissing cockroach", is due to their ability to force air through the breathing pores (spiracles) found on their abdomen. The Madagascar hissing cockroach is believed to be the only insect that can growl in this exact manner,[1] as most insects that make a "hissing" sound do so by rubbing together various body parts

Coconut crab!
This hermit crab, with its intimidating size and strength, has a special position in the culture of many human societies which share its range. The coconut crab is admired for its strength, and it is said that villagers use this animal to guard their coconut plantations. The coconut crab, especially if it is not yet fully grown, is also sold as a pet, for example, in Tokyo.[35] The cage must be strong enough that the animal cannot use its powerful claws to escape. Should a coconut crab pinch a person, it will not only cause pain, but is unlikely to release its grip.
Thomas Hale Streets reports the following trick, used by Micronesians of the Line Islands, to get a coconut crab to loosen its grip: It may be interesting to know that in such a dilemma a gentle titillation of the under soft parts of the body with any light material will cause the crab to lose its hold.

HAHA!
The Aye-aye (Daubentonia madagascariensis) is a lemur, a strepsirrhine primate native to Madagascar that combines rodent-like teeth with a long, thin middle finger to fill the same ecological niche as a woodpecker. It is the world's largest nocturnal primate, and is characterized by its unusual method of finding food; it taps on trees to find grubs, then gnaws holes in the wood and inserts its elongated middle finger to pull the grubs out.
Many Malagasy natives think they are devil-creatures, and beat them to death on sight.
