Oh I forgot to mention another thing about Naked Mole Rats: in addition to being hideous, unusually long-lived feces-eating monsters that feel no pain, they also are to known to reproduce primarily through inbreeding.

I think parasites that prey on humans sorta belong in their own category. ordinary bedbugs and ticks scare me way more than any fancy egg-backed toads or tongue-eating crabs. at a distance, even the most monstrous animals can seem almost cute, but the moment a living thing burrows into my body, it shuts off the part of my brain that goes "awwwwwwwwww."
