Rewatching tomorrow for serious. And to work out what the heck happened :(
― VegemiteGrrrl, Monday, 17 May 2010 06:18 (sixteen years ago)
haha this episode was ridiculous!
― pollos da don (tpp), Monday, 17 May 2010 14:57 (sixteen years ago)
i like how they've built up quite slowly over 2 seasons to basically going all-out bonkers in that episode.
― pollos da don (tpp), Monday, 17 May 2010 14:59 (sixteen years ago)
i mean none of it makes any sense really but it's always fairly light-hearted and there is a great sense of humour underpinning this show. it makes a great tonic to the dire final season of lost.
― pollos da don (tpp), Monday, 17 May 2010 15:03 (sixteen years ago)
Hey, so, I forget whether or not Pyro burns herself up when she does the big flameout. Like, we saw one charred stain on the ground which is the Empathist, and then Olive the Other Olive's barbecued team leader, but I'ma wager Pyro is going to come back into play next week.
― Daleks in NYC (Leee), Tuesday, 18 May 2010 01:27 (sixteen years ago)
Altlivia is less cold but hates alcohol, so she's gotta go.
― mh, Tuesday, 18 May 2010 19:29 (sixteen years ago)
OK so I checked everyone up: projected emotions guy was from season 1, the first Akiva Goldsman written episode. pyro was from Goldsman's second episode -- she was the twin sister of another cortexiphan testee who spontaneously combusted, and she came close to blowing up too. so yes, they're dead. the guy who dies right after transporting originally had the special power of transferring his fast-growing cancer to other people. special agent Lee and alt-Olivia's BF are new.
― abanana, Tuesday, 18 May 2010 23:37 (sixteen years ago)
wrong Liv. it's got to be.
― Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 21 May 2010 01:54 (sixteen years ago)
Why do you say that?
William Bell's rambling old man shtick at the hospital was lol.
― Daleks in NYC (Leee), Sunday, 23 May 2010 03:26 (sixteen years ago)
uh, liv "infiltration achieved' and liv in the cell pretty much implied it's the wrong liv, right?
― tehresa, Sunday, 23 May 2010 03:29 (sixteen years ago)
freakin love nimoy
I tried to trace back to see if the wrong Olive also kissed Peter but that wasn't possible, it was too soon after she was tied up.
― CaptainLorax, Sunday, 23 May 2010 03:50 (sixteen years ago)
Peter/Olivia smooching is going to be a tipoff that Olive isn't Olive.
― Daleks in NYC (Leee), Sunday, 23 May 2010 04:18 (sixteen years ago)
i thought that olive was olive but olives switched before the grenade
― tehresa, Sunday, 23 May 2010 04:24 (sixteen years ago)
yeah, that's right.
the show was pretty explicit that the alternate Liv has crossed back with them (the achievement of which was the least convincing thing so far on a show whose meat is totally unconvincing stuff). fwiw my post was made during the show, although out of excitement rather than claiming myself to be any kind of plot unraveling genius, as it was super fucking obvious.
― Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 23 May 2010 04:27 (sixteen years ago)
haha ok
― tehresa, Sunday, 23 May 2010 04:31 (sixteen years ago)
Olives switched after the grenades, when Bell got knocked out, as long as we're belaboring the obvious.
xxpost
― Daleks in NYC (Leee), Sunday, 23 May 2010 04:36 (sixteen years ago)
So what you're saying is that somewhere between the point where there were two of them, and one had a grenade and one had a gun, and Bell passed out, Olternate switched places with Ourlivia?
Because she was acting all shifty-like on the stage, and then also knew about the typewriter and how to use it, so it would seem like maybe that might have happened. IMO.
― all yoga attacks are fire based (rogermexico.), Sunday, 23 May 2010 05:09 (sixteen years ago)
of course it happened
― tehresa, Sunday, 23 May 2010 05:12 (sixteen years ago)
unless they are going for total mindfuck and oltenrate is just in trouble for getting pwned by ourlivia
so what i'm getting from this thread is that y'all think Olternate pulled the SWITCHEROO?
― all yoga attacks are fire based (rogermexico.), Sunday, 23 May 2010 05:34 (sixteen years ago)
looking forward to discussing this for another four months btw
(also btw Roberto fwiw I got from the timestamp that you were making the call before they made it explicit)
― all yoga attacks are fire based (rogermexico.), Sunday, 23 May 2010 05:35 (sixteen years ago)
Uh, when wasn't it explicit?
― Daleks in NYC (Leee), Sunday, 23 May 2010 05:41 (sixteen years ago)
^^^
― tehresa, Sunday, 23 May 2010 05:44 (sixteen years ago)
it was WINK WINK NUDGE NUDGE OBVIOUS as soon as Bell woke up but not confirmed until she went to typewriter
― all yoga attacks are fire based (rogermexico.), Sunday, 23 May 2010 06:21 (sixteen years ago)
(but lol if it's not obvious to you guys by now that i'm winding you up i don't know how you're following the show)
― all yoga attacks are fire based (rogermexico.), Sunday, 23 May 2010 06:24 (sixteen years ago)
Olternate
They called her "Bolivia" in the captions at one point!
― a more happy, spress-free life (GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ), Sunday, 23 May 2010 07:13 (sixteen years ago)
should've been Fauxlivia
― jeff, Sunday, 23 May 2010 08:27 (sixteen years ago)
can get on board with fauxlivia
― tehresa, Sunday, 23 May 2010 17:23 (sixteen years ago)
Fauxlivia
I think we've reached a consensus.
LOL @ this latest exchange.
― Daleks in NYC (Leee), Sunday, 23 May 2010 18:26 (sixteen years ago)
i have a theory--let me know if its too weird--did alternate universe Olivia come back with walter and peter? i think maybe...
― max, Sunday, 23 May 2010 19:03 (sixteen years ago)
PETER'S ALIVE?!?!
― CaptainLorax, Sunday, 23 May 2010 22:12 (sixteen years ago)
Just caught up w/ this show using the helpful season 1 playlist from the Lost thread - at its best, it is really, really good. Great S2 finale.
― Simon H., Saturday, 29 May 2010 23:47 (sixteen years ago)
someone tell me which episodes I can skip. I have a feeling this show is probably good but I watched the first two last night and had the same reaction everyone did.
― akm, Thursday, 15 July 2010 13:44 (fifteen years ago)
Somebody posted a list of the season 1 episodes you should watch. I think it is upthread but I'm starting to wonder if it was elsewhere.
― orakle-krake (Gukbe), Thursday, 15 July 2010 13:53 (fifteen years ago)
watch theseSeason 1: 1 (pilot), 4, 5, 7, end of ep 8, 10, 14, 17, 19, 20season 2: 1, 4, maybe 7, 8, 10, maybe 14, end of 15, 16 (Peter), 17, 18, 22, 23
― hazy cosmic jedi (abanana), Thursday, 15 July 2010 14:04 (fifteen years ago)
great! I'll try that. I'm seriously on the fence about whether catching up with these is even worth it. I should probably go watch all the seasons of the Wire that I missed or something.
― akm, Thursday, 15 July 2010 18:17 (fifteen years ago)
Man, the run from Season 2 from ep 15 onwards was easily the best they've done - it would be great if they could keep that up for a whole season but I guess that's kind of unlikely.
― Simon H., Thursday, 15 July 2010 18:32 (fifteen years ago)
This is weirdly a show whose "mythology" episodes don't really suffer if you haven't seen previous installments.
― Philip Nunez, Thursday, 15 July 2010 18:40 (fifteen years ago)
Anyone read Fringe producer @ Comic Con say, essentially, lol science?
― Daleks in NYC (Leee), Monday, 26 July 2010 03:11 (fifteen years ago)
bump for S3 premiere anticipation

― I love cinema. My favorite movies are Citizen Kane and the Boondock Saints (KMS), Friday, 1 October 2010 05:45 (fifteen years ago)
I think this whole season will go back and forth from cases at one universe to cases at the other
Walter had some great quotes this episode
