i would hope he had been planning all this stuff for a while, regardless of the Walt situation.

walt surprisingly quickly picked up the connection b/w Tuco and the cousins. also it's not like Jesse has the connections or brains to pull that off

Gus is so ahead of everybody in this game, that's why there was that assumption that Gale was planted to eventually replace Walt in the meth factory. Surely Gus knows about Jesse and how unstable he is, and probably has reasons for allowing Walt this much leeway for now (compared to his opinion of Jesse from last season), though maybe since Jesse is clean now he's more lenient. Or plans to kill them both anyway, who knows?

Right - I totally forgot about Gus meeting Jesse at the restaurant in season 2.

not really feelin the skyler/walt detente in the hospital waiting room, but the character development with hank and marie this season has been a+

loved the fryer's eye view of gus taking the call from the cartel boss too - it gets said, but seriously some of the best direction and set design anywhere on tv

this season so far is four not so great episodes and three great ones
i like where we're going here

This ep was phenomenal.. Walt has been waiting months and months to hear Skyler say what she said to Marie about him.

Agreed about Jesse being a complete fucking imbecile. I guess getting clean and becoming "the bad guy" didn't result in an automatic brains upgrade. He is sooooo going to fuck things up. I wonder if Walt is going to have to choose... between Jesse and Gus.

the first thing jessie did this season was to get out of rehab, buy his parents house and kick them out. so yeah, he's moved into shepherd cartoon world.

Great episode! I usually hate the idea of set pieces and studies of character psyche, but this was brilliant.

directed by Rian Johnson (Brick/Brothers Bloom). Great episode, atypical without being too showy.

i was way tired and kinda drunk and nodded off at some point in this ep. half hour of fly swatting seemed pretty dud though. will give it another run tonight.

interesting ep. i could have done without all the random camera tricks.
i did like how they toyed with us - making us think Walter was going to spill the beans about watching chicky die.

was sort of frustratingly low on plot but a decent episode i guess, i found walt's descent into being mental a bit sudden and disconnected from how he's been in previous ep.

i enjoyed this ep but i dunno...it makes me worry a bit for the future of the show for some reason.

this ep would probably work better if you were just plowing through the season on dvd but as far as my only breaking bad ep for the week, it was disappointing and now i am sad
