the last few episodes have been amazing.

yeah troy was a standout this whole episode, too bad he had to die first but the meta-joke was basically worth it

its a black guy dies first thing, but its funny b/c it happens when troy is talking about how hes NOT just a black guy and obviously it sounds pretty dumb when i write it out like that

God, this one was so great. Was reading thru the comments on the AV Club and agreed with the sentiment that while the show uses a lot of pop-culture refs, it uses them to both augment and illustrate the character interactions.

Also, fat blubbery victim was great

it's totally found its metier with this and the goodfellas ep. completely inspired.

As I probably mentioned at some point too, this show is like the only instance where I find the blonde more attractive than the brunette

i think it varies from episode to episode, yet another testament to the greatness of this show

That was the guy the John Oliver character called out for looking like Mark David Chapman in the episode about the psychology experiment.

Been enjoying this show all season, but the last few episodes make me think it might steal the Best Comedy Emmy from 30 Rock this year.

speaking of John Oliver what exactly happened to his character?

He was only attached to the pilot.

I think he showed up in one other cameo, though.

he was in that one episode where he was doing an experiment and Annie was the facilitator....

yeah there was that episode where at the end Britta was forced to see him for "counseling" every week, but then he never showed up again

i read an interview that said they wanted him more, but his daily show schedule didn't permit it. he's going to be in the finale tho, along with the "seize the day" professor.

I loved him on the show and thought his and Jeff's banter was great. Wish he was on more often.

him=Oliver, though Higgins is always fun.

I've missed the last four or five eps, and you all have me convinced I need to catch up immediately.

Oh hell yes, the last several episodes (actually, everything going back to the xmas episode) are E-FUCKING-SSENTIAL.

Especially especially the last one.

Cool. I miss enjoying the post-episode aftermath with you guys as well.

Senor Chang not being Senor Chang anymore makes me sad. Not even a keytar heals my broken heart. ;_;

Bit of a letdown after last week's episode, but pretty much anything would have been. Annie's Disney-face bit was great though.

This episode was mega boring.

it's funny to think that i was ever initially disappointed about John Oliver not being a full on cast member, would be fine with more appearances but the ensemble, even Senor Chang and the dean, feels so complete without him. really i'm more hoping for more Eric Christian Olsen guest spots.

Not quite to the heights of last week, but what could have been? I still enjoyed them moving the mechanics of the collected-group schooling along, giving Senor Chang a reason to stick around, and setting up for the next season. And they gave Star-burns a good joke. Disappointed they didn't do more with Jerry Minor, who I just found out is from my hometown.

Also, I enjoyed the stinger.

actually a lot of great lines on that episode and I did love the Janitor meta

So apparently CBS is moving Big Bang Theory to compete with Community Thursday nights. It won't be a question for me (I never watch BBT and love Community to pieces) but apparently BBT is the highest rated sitcom for adults 18-49 so -- uh -- next season might be Community's last.

I've seen Big Bang Theory. I can't imagine it has fans that would follow it to another night, considering how banal it is. It only gets those eyeballs now because it has ZERO competition on Monday nights (Chuck, really? And I don't even know what comes on ABC on Monday nights.)

(House doesn't count, because House is House.)

I missed the last five minutes of Community tonight, btw. The last thing I saw was Jeff talking to Annie outside after she bailed on the trip, then the cable went out.

Then it came on again just in time for P&R. Then it went out AGAIN with five minutes of P&R left, so I don't know what happened at the end of that either.
