Then the third movie centres around a full orchestra.

"Raise your batons, everyone."

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 5 May 2010 20:24 (sixteen years ago)

A human centipede scuttles into a bar and orders three shots of whiskey. He drinks all three. He does the same thing day after day after day, and the bartender finally says, "You know, I can put all three of those shots into one glass for you." The human centipede says, "No, I prefer it this way. One shot is for me, one shot is for the middle segment, and one shot is for the third segment." He comes in day after day after day, the bartender sets up three glasses. And then one day, the human centipede says, "Give me two shots today." The bartender asks, "What happened? Did something happen to your third segment?" "No, no, no," the human centipede said. "It's okay. It's just that I decided to quit drinking."

(I posted that on Jesse's FB page a few weeks ago, so I'm recycling my own jokes, but I think recycling is fully in the spirit of the Human Centipede.)

I thought it was pooping, not farting. Haven't seen that movie in years...

Adam Bruneau, Wednesday, 5 May 2010 20:58 (sixteen years ago)

more recommendations for the sequel: the entire cast of high school musical 3 to play the new centipede.

i hate the high school musical movies.

"at least youre not the middle of a human centipede, if that is consolation" is my stock consolatory response today. so far nobody has had any idea what im talking about.

Aqua Backrat (ENBB), Wednesday, 5 May 2010 22:28 (sixteen years ago)

i suppose the "lead segment" is the segment to be. but not a good situation all the way around.

I'm going to the midnight showing this Friday. I would bet I've paid to see worse things.

i feel worse for the actresses playing the middle and end segments.

Daniel, Esq., Thursday, 6 May 2010 01:59 (sixteen years ago)

whatever they were paid, it couldn't be enough.

Daniel, Esq., Thursday, 6 May 2010 02:00 (sixteen years ago)

I kind of don't get why people are having *such* a strong negative reaction to this movie. I mean, it's clearly meant to be shocking and all that, but I know two people who are pretty inured to grossness and shocking films, but who have said they will not be seeing this one.

I'm pretty sure that the concept of a human centipede as fodder for humor is far more interesting than the movie, so it's probably good that not too many of my friends will see it. The jokes and references can continue, and maybe I can offer some new perspectives, but we won't tire of it as soon.

fabulous mussels (Jesse), Thursday, 6 May 2010 02:09 (sixteen years ago)

i mentioned my reasons upthread. i think this movie concept goes beyond the pale. reasonable minds can disagree, i guess. it's definitely good fodder for humor, tho!

Daniel, Esq., Thursday, 6 May 2010 02:22 (sixteen years ago)

I don't know. Like I said, I watched it last night and it didn't bother me that much. I don't get that freaked out by things that are highly unlikely to happen irl. I am much more disturbed by good psychological thriller type things than grotesque horror.

Aqua Backrat (ENBB), Thursday, 6 May 2010 02:24 (sixteen years ago)

You know, I think I've become a little desensitized to human centipedism since my friends and I have spent a lot of time talking and joking about it. On the other hand, I don't think I will ever watch Hostel or any more Saw movies even though I have heard quite a bit about them.

I think that The HC has a hook that the Hostel doesn't.

fabulous mussels (Jesse), Thursday, 6 May 2010 02:30 (sixteen years ago)

idk. do you see the sutures that stitch the bodies together? seeing that would horrify me.

Daniel, Esq., Thursday, 6 May 2010 02:34 (sixteen years ago)

spend less time in the Human Centipede thread then?
