Haha now I am watching interview clips to try and figure out what he's REALLY like, and it's seriously impossible to tell when he's being weird and when he's going for laughs:

yeah, I always figured that Tracy's general M.O. with interviews and public appearances seemed very similiar to Will Ferrell's, where there's almost constantly some kind of put-on (although, admittedly, WF's is usually more random or about nudity, where Tracy's is about being high or getting people pregnant or other stuff that can potentially be read as black stereotypes).

First Sunday I'm sad to say kind of sucked.

yeah, the first half hour or so was full of intentional Tracy Morgan lolz and unintentional "this L.A. soundstage is supposed to be East Baltimore?" lolz, but after that it kinda went offtrack, although I might've enjoyed it more if I could stand Katt Williams.

#1 reason why I will not pay money to see this movie.

if i may chime in about the tracy morgan real-life antics thing, i think that because his character on 30 rock is all about sending up the crazy celebrity thing that it's easy to assume that the stuff he does in his public appearances is an extension of that. true or not.

He seems to be more serious in print interviews, maybe just because it doesn't make sense to showboat or do a bit when there's not a camera there, and he came off completely humorless in this interview, like it's completely offensive to him that someone could possibly confuse Tracy Morgan with Tracy Jordan:
