Taub is an asshole (but tbf he and his wife should've had this conversation before getting married).
― Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 27 April 2010 01:16 (sixteen years ago)
Our DVR cut out early tonight, did Taub pull away from the girl or did he keep kissing her?

He didn't pull away, they left together in her car.

He nailed her, at least thats what was implied.
Also, if that patient was 35 yo, then Im 17.
This show continues to suck this year. So disappointing.

SPOILER FREE POST
Lots of good things about this finale, up to the very very end when they bring back the least convincing, most nonsensical element of the show. I have never bought that connection, and probably never will.
― Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 18 May 2010 01:09 (sixteen years ago)
Really? I thought the finale was terrible straight through, and the ending was totally unbelievable and insane.
SPOILER-ESQUE
It's like they're decided to just start writing for the shippers + fanfic'ers.

Yeah, best episode of the season until it suddenly wasn't.xpost

Ok cool, I'm glad I'm not alone here.

Yeah, best episode of the season until it suddenly wasn't.
My wife liked the ending, but I don't think she appreciated my audible groan.

My wife and I both groaned at the ending. PLZ LET IT BE VICODIN.

I was really pleased with the ending (along with my family); it seems like an ending more fit for a series finale than an season finale though
It's not that nonsensical yall. We already knew they love each other. Things on this episode gave reason for her to love him more
― CaptainLorax, Tuesday, 18 May 2010 22:17 (sixteen years ago)
this guy's methods may be unconventional but you can't argue with the results

We already knew they love each other.
We know that because we've been told that, but it's the most unconvincing pairing on tv.
― Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 19 May 2010 03:20 (sixteen years ago)
In the early seasons I inferred that Cuddy was treating House as a baby substitute. Guess the writers weren't thinking that.
The only episodes I greatly liked this season were the Wilson episode and the Cuddy episode.

Season Finale Spoilers
Well he is halfway a baby/intriguing project for Cuddy but he is also an amazing genius and a jerk (and some girls go for jerks. Is there a few types of girls that like jerks that yall can stereotype for me and is Cuddy one of them? Serious question). So there's plenty of reasons for her to like House + him acting more caring this season. Then there was the things on this finale like the meaningful gift, close husband/wife like fighting , and then House giving in to Cuddy seemed like a pivitol moment (along with his speech about his cursed leg). I'm sure there's other dynamics to their relationship that I haven't touched upon as well.
Anyways I think the logical reason why Cuddy was at House's appartment was because she was worried about him (she knew he was bleeding + she may have seen or heard about him freaking out in front of Foreman when he was leaving the hospital) and ofcourse the mechanical breakup with spy dude must have put her in a vulnerable state as well - leading her to go visit someone she cared about under rouse that she is mostly there because she is worried about him. Needless to say they had another moment, kissed and that's all folks... until next season when we will probably have lots of episodes in which House is tested to see if he has what it takes to not be a complete loner.
I never watched the first couple seasons so I have no idea how he got along with his ex-wife... I think he has an ex-wife
― CaptainLorax, Thursday, 20 May 2010 07:06 (sixteen years ago)
Were they ever married? I'm not sure (I didn't start watching until S2, but I've since seen all the reruns). Either way, she was already gone at the beginning of the show and only turned up later on a couple times when the story called for it.
― Johnny Fever, Thursday, 20 May 2010 07:11 (sixteen years ago)
Yes, Wikipedia confirms House and Sela Ward were never a married couple, just a couple.
Mmmm... Sela Ward.
― Johnny Fever, Thursday, 20 May 2010 07:14 (sixteen years ago)
i haven't seen the finale yet (which with the exception of season 3 is always worth watching for this show) and i have been slowly been getting caught up, but damn i've damn near had it w/ this show. last year the Foreteen-athon annoyed me, but this year just bores the fuck outta me (which is something that this show NEVER used to do).
― keine Macht für dich mehr! (Eisbaer), Friday, 21 May 2010 01:26 (sixteen years ago)
I really disliked the first few eps from the new season. Basically I've (also) had it with this show. Meh.
― Nathalie (stevienixed), Friday, 21 May 2010 09:39 (sixteen years ago)
speaking about season finales, last night i rewatched last year's ("both sides now") ... boy oh boy, that really IS a great one. and it hits very close to home right now.
― keine Macht für dich mehr! (Eisbaer), Friday, 21 May 2010 14:40 (sixteen years ago)
is this a prelude to them getting rid of Thirteen once and for all? we should be so lucky.
― The Beatles are not pizza!!! (Eisbaer), Thursday, 15 July 2010 01:25 (fifteen years ago)
Could be good, but I like Thirteen alright anyway. I'm still bummed about Cameron being gone. Having Chase and Cameron divorce didn't mean she had to leave, but I suppose that's something her character would absolutely do.
― Johnny Fever, Thursday, 15 July 2010 02:15 (fifteen years ago)

I don't normally watch this show but I caught it the other night and was pretty confused by the medical mystery part of it.
Adult film actor goes into the hospital with the usual bizarre symptonsThey try everythingEventually find out he has parasitesTreat parasitesHe gets worseFind out that the parasites are keeping him healthyReintroduce parasitesEnd
They never figured out what was originaly wrong with him?! OR DID THEY
Was it ever explained?

There was a couple of House marathons on cable when I was recovering from surgery a month back, and I ended up getting into this show. I take back all of the mean things I ever said about this show and/or Hugh Laurie's accent.

I was honestly really, really surprised that my mom hadn't caught the various Sherlock Holmes references before, as I discovered the past weekend when I was home.
― Ned Raggett, Thursday, 19 August 2010 03:02 (fifteen years ago)
You should get her to watch the new Sherlock series when it comes on PBS, it's very good.

I was mentioning that very thing to her as well, she was intrigued.

I finally caught up on this show. I have no idea why Mordy was so enraged at the first episode of the season. It was kind of slow paced but imo it was not horribly embarrassing or even bad. Defs not on the level of that episode with the machine that could read people's minds, which is my current standard for a "wtf House M.D." episode.

Yes, that episode proved my hypothesis that Progressive Flo was not as sex-appealy without the Wholesome Amy Winehouse Jr. hair & makeup kit.

IDK I mean I have cried at TV commercials, I'm not saying that's a mark of quality. But I have cried at so many episodes of House, it's just ridic.
