Lost Season 6 - RE: LA X

Claire had been spending time with fake Locke and when questioned by Jin she clearly states that Locke is not Locke, it's her "friend" or whatever. And the last time we saw her she was hanging out in the cabin with Christian.

I do suspect that Jack is seeing his father and not Locke. I guess we'll see next week.

re: whispers = ghosts. I suspect Hurley's got it at least a little wrong, and this is more misdirection, like this is not the end of the whispers reveal.

Kids are both played by the same actor, though they definitely looked different. Very interesting.

The mystery kid did seem to be getting older. I really think it's Jacob, and there's some weird thing where he's come back and is getting back up to the right age rapidly.

i've just watched it again and if you look at jack's face (and i think his pupils) it seems like it's an animal with four legs...tho can't quite tell what kind of animal. it's not a cow, a goat, a sheep, or a pig tho.

Why would the kid need to be Jacob? Jacob can already ghost around in adult-form.

I don't know, but come on, look at that kid - that actor was almost definitely chosen strictly for his resemblance to the actor that plays Jacob.

Now that Ilana is dead, let me quickly summarize the accomplishments of her entire team of operatives:

really laughed out loud at ilana's death ...so glad the black rock is no longer a place for characters to go.

i also lolled at jack 'maybe we could learn something from this experience' shepherd suggesting that maybe going to get more dynamite was not a good idea. also this bit:

jack: i don't know i think i'm supposed to follow you.. where are you going?

i mean i understand this stuff is basically an in-joke now but srsly this sequence followed by the whispers explanation was really really bad.

so wait can someone help me here? is desmond jumping between the timelines or isn't he? in the last ep we saw him passing out and switching between the two but we didn't see that this week. why did he try to kill locke? i assumed that after locke pushes him down the well he switches back to the alt timeline (and he doesn't realise that it wasn't really locke). or is he just aware of both?

there was that episode where alt-locke was presented as having all the same issues as locke in the other timeline. but i suppose the smokemonster might just want to get free so he can work in a school and chill sure

yeah that's true. wasn't there some scene in the staff room where he was sort of tempting ben into thinking he should be head etc? it seemed deliberately meant to be flocke-like...

but i agree he was pretty normal hanging out with his one true love.

having said all this, isn't it now sort of clear that the alt is after the on island stuff? i mean...if these are "memories" that everyone is having.
