I think Eloise wants all the 815ers to go on in ignorant bliss-but I could be wrong.

Eloises party seems to be an attempt to get all losties in one place no?

I'd like it if they all showed up and relived island scenes:
Charlie drowns in punchbowl, Kate shags Sawyer in the stables, Locke blows up the swimming pool, Walt mind-flings birds at Juliet, Eloise shoots her own son, Ben & Richard throw stink bombs at Pierre Chang and Horace, Claire leaves her baby behind to go off with an older dude.

President Keyes, Saturday, 10 April 2010 16:55 (sixteen years ago)

Was the big test partially to confirm that Desmond is immune to the SmokeFlockeSter? That he could conceivably kill him?

Shannon Whirry and the Bad Brains, Sunday, 11 April 2010 00:35 (sixteen years ago)

Eloises party seems to be an attempt to get all losties in one place no?

How is this even possible? You can't just invite a fugitive to hang out with a couple of cops, a CEO, a spinal surgeon and a dude in a wheelchair.

Matt DC, Sunday, 11 April 2010 00:39 (sixteen years ago)

Yeah I'm not sure what you're basing the "Eloise party to bring together Losties" theory on?

congratulations (n/a), Sunday, 11 April 2010 00:42 (sixteen years ago)

I'm pretty sure the ones that matter will all end up in the same place at some point soon in the alt-timeline, but probably not due to being invited to a prim charity function. I suspect Desmond might not really need that manifest.

Matt DC, Sunday, 11 April 2010 00:49 (sixteen years ago)

Have watched the ep twice and am clueless as to why Des wants the manifest. Enlighten me.

crazy shit went on w/ Charlie, who he recognized from the plane, so he just put 2 and 2 together that there's something special about people on that flight right?

fucka washa hat (some dude), Monday, 12 April 2010 00:36 (sixteen years ago)

well...if eloise is bringing people together then that might tie with smokey doing the same for a big cull/kill off.

I see what this is (Local Garda), Monday, 12 April 2010 00:38 (sixteen years ago)

well she 'brought together' 3 people, 2 of whom are in her family right?

fucka washa hat (some dude), Monday, 12 April 2010 00:40 (sixteen years ago)

crazy shit went on w/ Charlie, who he recognized from the plane

best part was jack's "he was on our flight?" re: charlie in the hospital

I was going complain about Jack not asking any further questions at that point, but realized that it just seemed like a funky coincidence to him.

did this post TIME TRAVEL from 2004?!1?!!

right?

Big Fate (as Alvin 'Xzibit' Joiner) (history mayne), Monday, 12 April 2010 13:20 (sixteen years ago)

it was a post-sideways

President Keyes, Monday, 12 April 2010 13:25 (sixteen years ago)

But didn't Jack save Charlie's life? Would have thought he'd remember that.

James Mitchell, Monday, 12 April 2010 21:24 (sixteen years ago)

How come Kate's world is basically the same in both timelines.

no turkey unless it's a club sandwich (polyphonic), Monday, 12 April 2010 21:28 (sixteen years ago)

she is the balance point, where the scale tips.

bug holocaust (sleeve), Monday, 12 April 2010 21:29 (sixteen years ago)

In the original timeline it's really doubtful she would've done all that stuff with Claire... also (they really should've mentioned this) she didn't actually kill her father but some random dude accidentally. But yeah, basically she's the same person - but that's arguably true for everybody, just certain circumstances/events or specific pivotal choices changed their lives.

Nhex, Monday, 12 April 2010 21:36 (sixteen years ago)

"But didn't Jack save Charlie's life? Would have thought he'd remember that."

hm... this could mean something!

I just meant that her life is pretty much the same ... still wanted for murder, still on the run. Almost everyone else seems to have gotten something positive out of the world, but hers arguably is worse because her stepdad is still alive, possibly.

She's cool with Claire in the alt; in island time Claire wants to shiv her bad.

Philip Nunez, Monday, 12 April 2010 21:47 (sixteen years ago)

I don't know if Sun would call getting shot in her pregnant belly after her father tried to have her secret boyfriend killed "positive."

President Keyes, Monday, 12 April 2010 21:54 (sixteen years ago)

I forget, why is bad dad cool with Jin marrying her in the orig. timeline, but not in the alt?

Philip Nunez, Monday, 12 April 2010 22:01 (sixteen years ago)

claire such a fucken awful actor

conrad, Monday, 12 April 2010 22:04 (sixteen years ago)

About Kate - but remember her "stepdad" turned out to be real dad after all, and thus her relationship with her mother is probably not as horrible, overall it's still better than the regular timeline. What is Kate's ideal world, though? Does she really want to have a life of thrilling adventure and constant escape?

As for Jin - we don't know how they met in the alt, but apparently Jin worked as Sun's bodyguard and then hooked up, as opposed to their random meet in the regular timeline. Also in the alt, Sun's father figured out that Sun secretly saved money and was planning to run away with him (even though Jin didn't know this), which surely was a factor as well.

Nhex, Monday, 12 April 2010 22:30 (sixteen years ago)

unfair imo xp

who'd be better as claire? naomi watts?

Philip Nunez, Tuesday, 13 April 2010 00:46 (sixteen years ago)

i don't get that kind of criticism, as if this show would be the same or better without "MOY BAYBEEEEEE!" it's part of the inherent sell

Nhex, Tuesday, 13 April 2010 00:50 (sixteen years ago)

I think sun's dad should have been played by ian mcshane, but i have no beef with claire.

just realized: Jacob summoning the storm on the Black Rock to make it hit the island is exactly what Prospero does at the beginning of The Tempest.

abanana, Tuesday, 13 April 2010 20:01 (sixteen years ago)

^^i thought this too!

phantompenguin, Tuesday, 13 April 2010 20:02 (sixteen years ago)

iirc "it's the island from The Tempest" has been bandied about at some point or another

did you guys see the willy wonka themed ad for next week's episode? they've really been on fire with those lately.

liked michael showing hurley the ocean view of the other island, reminded me of christian showing jack the water in the very first season.

phantompenguin, Wednesday, 14 April 2010 02:06 (sixteen years ago)

That "Next Week on Lost" thing was buck-ass wild, for sure.

winnebago taco, Wednesday, 14 April 2010 02:11 (sixteen years ago)

Jorge Garcia is just about the worst actor in a major tv series ever. Good thing his character is lovable and cuddly.

xpost srsly!

millions now zinging will never lol (WmC), Wednesday, 14 April 2010 02:12 (sixteen years ago)

yeah that thing was hilarious. at this rate the ad for the finale is gonna be the Rocky Horror soundtrack or something.

first scene w/ Hurley at the grave got me kinda choked up tbh.

sipster cuppies (some dude), Wednesday, 14 April 2010 02:18 (sixteen years ago)

LIBBY!!! I have waited years!
Jack is now going to operate on alt-Locke aye?
Fun parallel of Desmond and Locke hurting each other.
Does Desmond turn the wheel or does Vincent save him, Lassie style?

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Wednesday, 14 April 2010 02:22 (sixteen years ago)

Also, I think Hurley found Adam & Eve's stones at the campsite..

sipster cuppies (some dude), Wednesday, 14 April 2010 02:59 (sixteen years ago)

desmond to hurley: go with your gut

conrad, Wednesday, 14 April 2010 04:56 (sixteen years ago)

yeah awesome WTF ending haha

i wish there was more Libby backstory from the real universe, but still I was definitely happy to see her get an episode, even in the sideways universe
