That's some rather loud frittering, there.

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Friday, 25 February 2005 21:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Longest 15mins of my life...

I am going to the pub tonight and then DJing later, and watching Spurs bomb out of the FA Cup on Sunday. Apart from that this weekend is a joyously uneventful blank slate full of epic adventures waiting to happen. Yerselves?

Matt DC (Matt DC), Friday, 11 March 2005 16:44 (twenty-one years ago)

applying for jobs. watching the i heart huckabees commentaries.

N_RQ, Friday, 11 March 2005 16:47 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm going to beat Steve at chess (doubtful).

alix (alix), Friday, 11 March 2005 16:47 (twenty-one years ago)

ooh, i am filling in my timesheet. way to kill 4 minutes.

N_RQ, Friday, 11 March 2005 16:51 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm going to splice beats for a couple of hours after work, then drop my girlfriend off somewhere so she can get drunk with her co-workers, then meet a friend and his girlfriend and try not to get too drunk myself.

I also have six hours left of work. You bastards.

Jordan (Jordan), Friday, 11 March 2005 16:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I may get the dust-off for the computer this pm in order to kill some time at work. Then I'm going home to watch "Ghost World" and attempt to eat some food containing protein.

jocelyn (Jocelyn), Friday, 11 March 2005 16:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Aaah, temping. The time you spend filling in your time sheet and getting it signed is worth about £1.50 I think.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Friday, 11 March 2005 16:56 (twenty-one years ago)

NRQ WHERE DO U WORK THAT U CAN WATCH COMMENTARIES THIS IS NOT FAIR.

still 5 hrs left here. i will go home and read then fall asleep, i thnk.

boring ol fuck, Friday, 11 March 2005 16:58 (twenty-one years ago)

i dunno. it's all made-up anyway. 'ilxing: 18 hours'.

boting ol fuck: that's my weekend! my job is... hard to explain.

NR_Q, Friday, 11 March 2005 16:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I've filled in the timesheet, am talking to you guys, waiting for one of my best friends to ring so I can find out if she's in London yet and wondering when my mother's gonna drag me to Marleybone to pick up sis and if she's coming back before 10 or 11 so I can go to Club Seal after all (doubt it, sadly, she'z off to the ballet, which does inspire envy).

I get my own login next week. Looks like the chain they put at my desk is here to stay.

BARMS, Friday, 11 March 2005 17:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Poker this weekend, anyone?

(myabe I should revive that thread instead)

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 11 March 2005 17:00 (twenty-one years ago)

It will technically be afternoon in two minutes

My timesheet is so complicated that I literally fill in 30min of admin overhead each week for it. It's an Extensity product that runs in yr web browser, and launches some bizarre external java app, you can't put in job numbers directly but rather have to "search" for them, even though you know what they are already..

looks like i've started 2 min early

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Friday, 11 March 2005 17:00 (twenty-one years ago)

My day has just started you bastards

Milo Smiley (nordicskilla), Friday, 11 March 2005 17:02 (twenty-one years ago)

We have a week off after today, and then I only have four days of work left. Talk about antsy!!!

Miss Misery (thatgirl), Friday, 11 March 2005 17:12 (twenty-one years ago)

*Grumbles jealously*

Michael White (Hereward), Friday, 11 March 2005 17:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Miss Misery (thatgirl), Friday, 11 March 2005 17:24 (twenty-one years ago)

ailsa (ailsa), Friday, 11 March 2005 17:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Aren't you moving too, Sam?

Michael White (Hereward), Friday, 11 March 2005 17:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Milo Smiley (nordicskilla), Friday, 11 March 2005 17:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes Michael, in about two weeks. Those of you coming down for SXSW look for my panhandling off the exit ramps.

Miss Misery (thatgirl), Friday, 11 March 2005 17:34 (twenty-one years ago)

isn't that what people talk about in their last frittering hour of work? how much they are going to guzzle in the pm?

maybe it's just me.

jill schoelen is the queen of my dreams! (Homosexual II), Friday, 11 March 2005 17:45 (twenty-one years ago)

My debauched friend Joe is coming into town tonight, he's bringing with him 30 45's he bought at thrift shop for seven dollars.

All signs point to a two day hangover.

laurence kansas (lawrence kansas), Friday, 11 March 2005 21:48 (twenty-one years ago)

who's gonna guzzle tonight? i sure as hell am!!!!

Unfortunately, we're having a dinner party. I shall have to sip demeurely. Otherwise known as the slow guzzle.

Michael White (Hereward), Friday, 11 March 2005 22:05 (twenty-one years ago)

alright. the waiting game sucks. im leaving soon.

peter smith (plsmith), Friday, 11 March 2005 22:23 (twenty-one years ago)

I'll have two Friday fritters and a root beer float, please.

Michael White (Hereward), Friday, 11 March 2005 22:24 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm having "cocktails" at someone's design-firm party thing. This means I'll get drunk and proclaim everything in sight as "butt ass ugly as fuck." Cheers.

Je4nne ƒury (Jeanne Fury), Friday, 11 March 2005 22:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm going to a dinner party.

Still 3 more hours of work! :(

Honorary Banana Slug (nordicskilla), Friday, 11 March 2005 22:35 (twenty-one years ago)

please let me out!

Honorary Banana Slug (nordicskilla), Friday, 11 March 2005 22:36 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm about to head to my friend's pre-SXSW party sponsored by Bacardi. I hope I don't get drunk.

Miss Misery (thatgirl), Friday, 11 March 2005 23:00 (twenty-one years ago)

oh they're letting us out early to celebrate the weather. hooray!

Honorary Banana Slug (nordicskilla), Friday, 11 March 2005 23:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Rotsa ruck Sam.

More things should be sponsored by Bacardi.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Friday, 11 March 2005 23:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Hi! I've basically decided to do bugger all work this afternoon and not feel guilty about it. Entertain me plz!

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 18 March 2005 14:06 (twenty-one years ago)

By sheer coincidence, I've just made the same decision! Woohoo!

(today has been crap, crap, crap so far - if I just sit at my desk and surf the web all afternoon I might just regain my sanity)

caitlin (caitlin), Friday, 18 March 2005 14:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Hi! I've basically decided to do bugger all work this afternoon and not feel guilty about it. Entertain me plz!
I have been doing this all week, so now I really, REALLY do have a load of work that needs to be done. :-( (As you can see I am being conscientious & getting on with it!) *sigh*

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Friday, 18 March 2005 14:28 (twenty-one years ago)

It's so nice out there. Haven't sat outside at Zilli cafe since last summer so it felt good today. Now I need to do some work with a belly full of pasta.

beanz (beanz), Friday, 18 March 2005 14:31 (twenty-one years ago)

I've been doing this for the past month. Notice periods are wonderful things.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Friday, 18 March 2005 14:33 (twenty-one years ago)

LIES LIES LIES

N_RQ, Friday, 18 March 2005 14:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Hehe Beanz, if you were out there at 1.15 I probably walked past you!

I just got an email with the word "sub-committee" in it. Back to slacking, I think. Really I want to play online poker, but there's no way I could get away with it.

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 18 March 2005 14:43 (twenty-one years ago)

You probably did then! I wouldn't have seen you though, cos the sun was in my eyes. I still feel a bit squinty.

beanz (beanz), Friday, 18 March 2005 15:21 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm anxiously listening to the Gold Cup (more for workmates who have placed bets tahn myself, who hasn't) in the last half hour or so. I've also just discovered Diamond Mine on Yahoo Games, so that'll keep me entertained for a bit.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Friday, 18 March 2005 15:28 (twenty-one years ago)

American Idol on itv2 tonight, woo. Pub vs Idol... hmm.

beanz (beanz), Friday, 18 March 2005 15:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Bah, as soon as I last posted my phone rang: "there's a nasty problem with one of the servers". Of course there is. It's a Friday afternoon, so *something* has to go horribly wrong.

caitlin (caitlin), Friday, 18 March 2005 15:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Ugh bad luck

beanz (beanz), Friday, 18 March 2005 15:43 (twenty-one years ago)

not much frittering-away for me this fri'''.
*just back from the bank to pay off the hundred grand in agreement with the out-of-court*
...hey, this terrorizer cover-cd sounds just about right for these kinda fr!days, i say.

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Friday, 18 March 2005 15:45 (twenty-one years ago)

It's the first hour of my Friday morning. Too early for frittering?

sunburned and snowblind (kenan), Friday, 18 March 2005 15:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Start as you mean to go on.

I was in work at 9 this morning, and until 1am last night. I think I'll knock off soon, cuz the sun is shining I there is a pint of cool lager with my name on it.

Dave B (daveb), Friday, 18 March 2005 15:56 (twenty-one years ago)

And the name isn't 'fatman' lest any wag dare
