Vegetarian sushi is Satanic; rolls with meat are of course WRONG (and WTF with the heterosauce) but you would be foolish to think the Japanese aren't fond of getting drunk and eating many, many deep-fried things (including parts of hand rolls). The following deep-fried things normally appear in hand rolls: shrimp tempura, soft shell crab.

I am also BIG NUMBER ONE FAN of rice paper, but this is NOT the place.

guilty sushi pleasure, when I can't afford a sashimi platter at the best local place, is a shrimp tempura/tamago roll w/ avocado and tuna on top.

I don't know if it's authentic or not (guessing the avocado is not so much) but it's fucking delicious.

The thing is, like Guy Fieri, I have a strong love of both BBQ and Sushi, so in theory this should be the perfect place for me. But clearly something went horribly wrong in the planning and execution stages of Tex Wasabi's.

Foam is so '00s, even the places that used to do it have toned it down.

Also, the Michelin guide sucks bad.
