one night at like 3 am i clicked on an ILM thread for some alt-country band, who i got the impression had been around a while but had kept suspiciously under the radar, and the youtube posted really floored me but i forgot to bookmark it and i forgot about it by the next morning. there were some comments, by i think xhuxk and gott punch, about how they were one of the best bands in america? or like, had secretly been for many years? it was a short read, i don't think there were more than a couple posts underneath the fold. it could have all been a dream.

Was the band My Morning Jacket? I remember reading a discussion like that about it.

A while ago someone posted a diagram that showed which nationality the people from various countries think are gay (for example, Britons think the French are gay, Finns think Swedes are gay, etc), but I can't remember what thread it was in. Can anyone find this?

the thread where people (briefly?) discussed some composition that for earlier (1970s or so?) recordings had the appeal of having the orchestra at the limits of their ability and just about holding it together, while today's performance are much more stable because orchestras have gotten technically better.

I could swear I started a thread once that asked about a video I saw in eighth grade social studies class about a Canadian dance troupe of men wearing derbies and stomping side to side...I uploaded a (bad) picture I drew and everything. Would like to see that thread OR know the name of that dance.
