again the reveals were pretty lame. so obvious it was Charlotte, so obvious it was Kate - the obviousness is quite funny now tho.

I was watching Miami Vice after watching Lost last night and realized that Sawyer is very Don Johnson-y ... same stubble, same stringy hair, same voice, same attitude.

This ep proved that Flocke is the bad guy in all of this, because I think we all know that Jacob would've let Claire kill Kate, what with that free will obsession and all.

This season has been well-conceived but kind of poorly-executed.

My opinion is the exact opposite.

Enjoyed this ep.

Only a bad guy would stop the Kate stabbing from happening.

i was/am kind of hoping Kate will do something regrettable and Flocke will reveal by 'erin has a crazy mother now' he meant Kate.

So when Jacob said that someone was coming to the island (supposed reason for the lighthouse quest) did he he mean Widmore? I'm wondering if one reveal will be that Widmore is an asshole but is actually trying to work for Jacob in his own way. He obviously is no fan of smokey, to the point where he's lugging sonic fence equipment around.

It keeps being implied that Smoke/Locke is going to go over to the other island by boat, in that he said so and Widmore seems to think they need the fence. Did we ever see smokey over there? I'm still skeptical that he can cross water.

Oh, I meant to say above that I also think Claire is way more believable as an "emotional wreck crazy person" than an "evil, murderous crazy person."

this got me thinking too. why would he spend that much time calming kate down? doesn't he have bigger fish to fry? isn't he just gonna kill everyone anyway?

i was under the impression smokey was like--"i can get you off this island." not, "i need you to help me try and fly a crashed plane off this island."

I assume Widmore is still on the sub b/c he is not allowed/able to go back on the island.

my favorite typical lost "what is wrong with these people" moment was how after kate nearly gets her throat slit her next reaction isn't to turn to her old buddy Sayid who just hung back and popped some popcorn and go "thanks for nothing WHAT THE FUCK DUDE!"

best episode so far this season tho, between this and last week i am feeling much better about the show only kind of pissing me off by the end

So in the sideways timeline Miles's dad is alive and in LA, but he was at the construction site during The Incident, so I think that pretty much conclusively states that the bomb didn't sink the island immediately or kill many people in its immediate vicinity. Also, it suggests to me that Miles and his mom didn't leave the island immediately, and nor did Charlotte, or else how would they know each other? They met on the freighter as far as I know. I guess the alternative is just that the timeline is wacky and coincidental, but that sure would be unsatisfying.

Also, do Dr. Ben Linus, Nice Ethan, and Sexy Charlotte know each other in LA? They were all children on the island at the same time, though not exactly peers. There couldn't have been so many children on the island that they wouldn't know each other.
