― tehresa, Wednesday, 17 March 2010 07:51 (sixteen years ago)
Pretty good episode. Sawyer & Miles as con man stinging cops was kind of awesome. I was hoping Charlotte would turn out to be working for alt-Widmore--who would be tracking down the folks who showed up on the island in '77 and blew up his spot. But anyways.
I'm figuring Cooper will be a priest or something, having repented of his grifter ways, and Sawyer won't be able to kill him.

another episode with a rather useless x-timeline, but at least the island stuff looks like it's going somewhere now.
― abanana, Wednesday, 17 March 2010 11:29 (sixteen years ago)
* The Sawyer/Miles buddy cop x-timeline was totally like a bad episode of "Exposé."* Had we seen Widmore Tina Fey before this episode?* Ha at FLocke's "I'll be available to answer any questions...". Threw arms up in the air at Kate listening to FLocke's big speech about how "before I looked like this, I had a disturbed mother" with just "why are you telling me this?" and not WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!* Charlotte returning was essentially useless, right?
This episode made me miss cheese curds.
― Shannon Whirry and the Bad Brains, Wednesday, 17 March 2010 11:59 (sixteen years ago)
Charlotte returning was essentially useless, right?
Seemed like she was looking for something other than t-shirts in Sawyer's drawer. I think there's more to it, but time's a-runnin' out, so I don't care that much.

Boy, yeah. That is not the question I would ask out of all the possible questions. Does Kate know that Locke is the smoke monster? I can't remember.
There were some character-related developments that I did like, though. Kate was totally annoyed with Locke, which I guess speaks to E. Lilly's limited range as an actor that Kate expressing an emotion other than "I'm going with you" or "I'm running away" struck me as refreshing and interesting. I liked that Charlotte was basically like GTFO when Sawyer showed up the day after being a crazy person and kicking her out at 3 AM, when the standard response for most female characters would be to invite him in and start shopping for wedding dresses. I liked that Sawyer is telling everybody exactly what's going on and in so doing, playing them all.
I liked the idea of Miles/Sawyer buddy cop plotline, but I got really annoyed at how emotionally needly Miles was. I don't think he really does need to know where his partner goes on vacation. Like, can you imagine Jimmy McNulty whining at Bunk that Bunk said he was going to Palm Springs and went to Australia instead? No, it is just silly.
