I had a dream that RJG and the Pinefox had discovered a way of playing golf where they could teleport the golf ball to different ilxors with little messages attached to the golf ball. It was weird.

Last night I had a dream that something crawled out of my bed while I was trying to make it. At first I thought it was an extremely large neon-colored tarantula, but it turned out to be an extremely small neon-colored monkey, and I kept it as a pet. I did a double-take when I saw the "What Do You Want" thread this morning.

Wow, I didn't even know there were Chili's in CT. I wonder if there's one near New London? We can start planning a Christmas FAP way ahead of time. I'll be in Groton and SF Sean will be in Chesire or someplace like that. We can arrange an outlet shopping spree and a visit to the casinos for adventurous NYers.! It'll be fun.

I was in a bookstore and found a lengthy zine written by Hstencil and published through a small press. There was at least one essay that mentioned ILX, including a paragraph where Hstencil included a long list of ILx0rs (NYCers? Derbygoers?). I was not mentioned.

I dreamed they built a scenic walkway over the West Side Highway, except to get to it you had to climb up the side of a slimy mossy rock and swing up on a rope. Then once I was on the walkway, it turned into this narrow "plankway" with no sides (except there were sides, if you believed the sign on the entry to the plankway part -- you just had to trust that you'd stay balanced and not plunge to your death). The plankway offered a nice panoramic view that let me feel like I was walking on air. But it wasn't a view of NYC anymore; it was like a never-ending vista of Mesopotamian ruins.

That's all I remember.

I am so ashamed: I had a Momus dream! I dearly hope it was only a coincidence that this happened the night after I saw the nude picture of him.
So in my dream I have to give a presentation in front of an auditorium full of people. But the student presenting after me brings his friends up to the podium with him, and they're all dressed in expensive-looking Teletubby-like suits. While my presentation had been more mundane, they start performing these dramatic MrWizard/Beakman/Bill Nye type demonstrations. The audience eats it up of course. In my dream I feel that the suits (for some reason) give them an unfair advantage, and the dramatic demonstrations are also kind've cheating or something, so I go into an adjacent room and sulk about thinking that I'd like to have a cigarette if I were a smoker. Then Momus, who was in the audience, comes in and asks what's wrong, and I confide in him how I feel about the other presenters. But THEN he immediately proceeds to go into the auditorium, directly to the podium, and tell everyone there what I had said. He meant well, and everyone pretended to be sympathetic, but I knew that they all were really thinking what a whiney brat I was.

Oh that's totally how most of mine go! Especially high school/college campuses, like in the old buildings and stuff. I always kind've thought that it was just because I enjoy exploring the empty and old parts of buildings and tunnels and stuff in my waking life, but now that I'm starting to get more into the physical side of sleep psychology I think it might have something to do with patterns of hippocampal activation during REM cause like your hippocampus is supposed to have all these projections to your association areas and that whole pathway just lights up when you're doing things involving spatial stuff and learning like exploring novel environments and things.

last night i dreamt that david hyde-white (=niles in frazier) and i were re-enacting a history of the uk tory party somewhere in carlton house terrace (nr the "front" = posh-not-public entrance of the ica, which only the staff ever user): a stream of ppl — representing the rank and file of the party — were sedately climbing an ornately sweeping circular staircase (the foreign office type buldings have a lot of these), while niles and i were performing daring overtaking stunts on the *outside* of the banisters, this to represent how high fliers and big beasts get advancement and approval in the party, and ultimately (by getting to the top quicker and more riskily) become leaders of men

i think we were trying to resolve an argument abt the recent catastrophic dynamics of the party, but were both of us too scared of falling to actually act out the thought experiment properly (i also think he wz pro the party and i wz anti — i certainly am when awake — and that this wz why we disagreed)

I dreamed I saw rainy! I've never seen a picture of her before, ever. Somehow I was in an enormous Humvee truck kind of thing and me + the other guys in the truck sort of crashed into this dining room and suddenly the hood had a table cloth on it and we were all eating a mid-day lunch with wine and a glass decanter full of water. The truck was still stuck in the wall, halfway in the room and halfway out. rainy was sitting at one end of the table/hood and she started talking but in Finnish or something that I couldn't understand and I was impatien, I had to ask her point-blank "are you rainy?" and she said no, she wasn't, and I knew that because I'd interrupted her and jumped in so quickly she really wasn't anymore, whereas previously she really had been

I had a dream last night that there was this new poster named Auburn Dalliance. She went straight to the top of the USERS page. Then someone started a thread about why she chose the last name Dalliance for her pseudo.

Also, someone started a thread on housemates and it turned out that a bunch of different posters had lived with Ned Raggett at one point or another. They all kept going on and on about what a perfect housemate he was. So, for then on, 'Ned Raggett' meant someone who was a good housemate. People would post, "I'm moving to a new apartment and I really need to find a Ned Raggett..."

Last night I dreamed that Nickalicious, a random generic ILX poster, and I all lived in a brick apartment complex. We all got together in the courtyard area to show off our musical instruments and gear. The generic ILXor had a reel to reel eight-track that was built into the outside wall of the apartment building and was one story high. It had giant knobs and dials and everything. Nickalicious had an instrument that looked like a banjo but sounded like an electric guitar. During this part of my dream, Nickalicious looked like I think he does in real life, but in a later part of my dream, everyone went into my apartment to look at my set-up, and Nickalicious had blond floppy hair, a weird-shaped head, no glasses, and a big cleft in his chin. He was vaguely sleazy in this part of my dream.

Last night the July 4 NYC FAP must've been on my mind; I dreamt that we were all at a long table and Matos and I were at the end. He was going on about this girl he'd gone on a blind date with; he was quite taken with her and thought he might marry her. Apparently she was Mormon, though, so I was telling him that he'd have to convert and wear the underwear and stuff, and also that he might not want to count on so much as getting kissed before marriage because I knew plenty of Mormons who were that strict about premarital stuff. Obv. I was secretly jealous of her.
