How does one gingerly throw caution to the wind?

have you ever seen me throw?

The Lex (The Lex), Tuesday, 8 March 2005 17:13 (twenty-one years ago)

AHEM, Katie G sort of of this parish is DJ-ing at the Buffalo Bars on Friday, not at a HDIF (that wz last week HOORAY FOR NINDIE), so you should all come to this obv! Here is the GEN:

http://www.thearticles.net/Biography.asp

I would be interested in bridge but MORE interested in CHESS.

Lucretia My Reflection (Lucretia My Reflection), Tuesday, 8 March 2005 17:15 (twenty-one years ago)

RISK.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 8 March 2005 17:17 (twenty-one years ago)

I would be up for chess too! RISK is silly but we should clearly play DIPLOMACY, it is Risk without the silly dice and with added acne and spectactles and betrayal and FUN.

How does one book vitalic tickets?

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Tuesday, 8 March 2005 17:21 (twenty-one years ago)

ha ha Shabaz i have been teaching 'er indoor how to play Chess, there is much pwnage to be had

Sven Bastard (blueski), Tuesday, 8 March 2005 17:28 (twenty-one years ago)

how about a few rounds of Shove Piggy Shove?

Sven Bastard (blueski), Tuesday, 8 March 2005 17:29 (twenty-one years ago)

See u in an hour and a half, bitch.

BARMS, Tuesday, 8 March 2005 17:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Indeed, Pickle has been telling me of pwnage - I still haven't had a game yet but I am starting a chess club, we are meeting sometime next week in a pub when I decide where, you should read my INTER LIVE WEB JOURNAL as that's where I organise my life these days. "organize"? SP? I am WELL RUB at teh chess.

I can't do further dancing on Sat night BTW as I am newly straight edge until Poptimism and fear I Could Not Cope!

What is Diplomacy, Greg? I don't know these strategy based board-games, they always seemed a bit too BOY for me (sez the Scrabble nutter).

Lucretia My Reflection (Lucretia My Reflection), Tuesday, 8 March 2005 17:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Diplomacy is v.v.v.v.v. BOY, maybe it is a bad idea. Chess is wise though!

I still want Vitalic answers.

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Tuesday, 8 March 2005 23:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Greg. Grab your Visa card and head to

marianna lcl (marianna lcl), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 00:21 (twenty-one years ago)

i fancy my chances chesswise

Cut Copy were ace tonight - i think Tuesday clugging is the way forward.

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 00:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Stevem I will TAKE YOU DOWN.

Yana you are and remain a treat.

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 01:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Cut Copy - Xtra HOTT. My "hott date" - not so much. Steve, you didn't miss much re: Wolfmother. I eneded up telling Mari that Doors tributes had no place in 2005, based on the 3 songs we stayed for, though we both agreed they had obvious appeal for their homeland (and a dozen mentalists knowing the words to the songs last night underscored that). We also agreed that had Kate been there, she may very well have ended up molestingobjectifying them.

Richard X is playing out next week, I vaguely recall.

BARMS, Wednesday, 9 March 2005 09:23 (twenty-one years ago)

I have just bought a ticket for Vitalic-Hacker-Agoria. That looks too good to miss.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 09:32 (twenty-one years ago)

vitalic is april 30?

i think i am on holiday, in the drizzle

whats happening on the weekends of the 9th and 16th?

i am tempted by next saturday, to celebrate the passing/avoiding of my exam

take me out, show me the bright lights and the pretty girls

charltonlido (gareth), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 10:21 (twenty-one years ago)

you could choose something to do and everyone might go

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 10:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I hope Vitalic will not sell out any time soon.

I still haven't decided about Tiefschwarz on Saturday aaargh.

April 2! Grime action in Stratford! I am so up for it.

The Lex (The Lex), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 10:37 (twenty-one years ago)

is that at the Rex? i am afraid of there being 'trouble' - is this wrong? perhaps the lovely Shola would placate things tho...

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 10:40 (twenty-one years ago)

it's not the Rex, it's... a venue I can't remember! It's on Theatre Square. Um.

The Lex (The Lex), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 10:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Stratford Circus, that's the one. I think.

The Lex (The Lex), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 10:48 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't make April 2nd as I will be at my cousin's wedding in a big house in the country, which is about as ungrimey as you can get.

I'm a little sceptical of this live band thing though. The band at Roots Manuva veered dangerously close to funk rock territory at times on Friday and I imagine this being even less appropriate for grime. Especially Lethal B.

Great lineup though.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 10:50 (twenty-one years ago)

yes I am also suspicious of this live band thing. Itseems a little mental. I am most excited about KT Pearl!

The Lex (The Lex), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 10:51 (twenty-one years ago)

live band could mean 'blokes with laptops' now tho

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 10:52 (twenty-one years ago)

"My Powerbook weighs a ton, my mic is like a gun, don't test, blud, look, just don't try it, I'll make you little shits run."

BARMS, Wednesday, 9 March 2005 11:16 (twenty-one years ago)

a calendar of some sorts may be needed.

i have lost track of what is happening, this friday in particular.

perhaps i will hang around in crowds, because i want to

charltonlido (gareth), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 11:16 (twenty-one years ago)

there is a calendar. i'll give you the keys if you like.

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 11:20 (twenty-one years ago)

i would like the keys as well, i think.

i am not sure, about this schtick.

maybe i will be, tomorrow

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 11:21 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm up for optimo at our disco. i haven't had a good supersuperlate night in quite some time.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 11:23 (twenty-one years ago)

I'll come because of my whole birthday run-up thing, but you're not allowed to kiss and run on me this time, LP.

BARMS, Wednesday, 9 March 2005 11:25 (twenty-one years ago)

it seems like rather a vulpesian schtick, if yeh get meh...tho it is strangely seductive, dammit

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 11:26 (twenty-one years ago)

"Vulpesian"? Are you cussing in Irish?

BARMS, Wednesday, 9 March 2005 11:29 (twenty-one years ago)

i'll come early and stay late and drink tequila and by the end of the night you'll hate me.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 11:30 (twenty-one years ago)

OK, THAT'S Vulpesian.

BARMS, Wednesday, 9 March 2005 11:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Ah shit, does Vitalic clash with the Annie/ESG/Superpitcher/Fairley thing then? Fucksticks.

RickyT (RickyT), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 11:33 (twenty-one years ago)

I want to go to Optimo as well but that will mean juggling Seal nights because at the moment I think the 18th is the only night I'm doing at the moment. Argh, its all so *complicated*

Essentially, there are now no free weekends left until the FA Cup Final.

xpost - oh for god's sake. I'd been looking forward to Superpitcher.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 11:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Ah shit, does Vitalic clash with the Annie/ESG/Superpitcher/Fairley thing then? Fucksticks.

PERFECT!

BARMS, Wednesday, 9 March 2005 11:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Vitalic is playing here this Thursday but I am DJing at our club. For many I expect it's quite similar to the Superpitcher/Vitalic clash, in London.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 11:45 (twenty-one years ago)

superpitcher is always playing in london. vitalic comes but several times a year.

pete b. (pete b.), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 11:48 (twenty-one years ago)

i dunon if i'd survive Vitalic a second time but worth a shot, if not the other thing, if not both, somehow

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 11:50 (twenty-one years ago)

actually i will definitely go to the ESG/Superpitcher/Annie thing, and hope others will too - to the blagmobile!

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 11:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Me me me!

Lucretia My Reflection (Lucretia My Reflection), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 12:08 (twenty-one years ago)

aren't they on the Camden Crawl?

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 12:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I was hoping someone would make that joke, anyway no, they're at the Despondent Lapwing.

Anyway, I'm bored.

Lucretia My Reflection (Lucretia My Reflection), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 12:21 (twenty-one years ago)

I wish I could be part of this thread for real :-(

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 12:35 (twenty-one years ago)

ahh many good nights had at the Lapwing

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 12:35 (twenty-one years ago)

reciprocated TF(schwarz)

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 12:36 (twenty-one years ago)

ESG!

alix (alix), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 12:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Steve+Alix+Starry+Barima so far, looking good.

BARMS, Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:12 (twenty-one years ago)

er er er what is this, an ANTI-VITALIC mob brewing? pah!

The Lex (The Lex), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:29 (twenty-one years ago)

and Barima - are you coming over tonight or not?

The Lex (The Lex), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:29 (twenty-one years ago)
