I have trouble accepting I Am Invincible Jack's faith in his destiny when I get the feeling that he'd be fine with being blown to kingdom come.

this was like the scene in S2 when the alarm was going off and he was all like "whassup john u gonna open that door and let me pull sayid offa this henry cat or we gonna find out what happens when the count hits zero hmmm?"

The thing that really bugs me is that the show acts like the candidates are being presented with some sort of moral choice, but they/we have no idea what that choice is. How are we supposed to be invested in what they do if we don't even know what they're supposed to do, or what the stakes are? Why would they side with Jacob when he's never even introduced himself to any of them except Hurley? (He never introduced himself to the others, just touched 'em and gave 'em some advice.) As far as they know, Jacob is a spooky guy who sometimes lives in a creepy little house. And we're almost halfway through the last season!

Exactly. Obv I'm still enjoying the ride, but would be nice to maybe have the writers realise this.

Yeah, this is the downside to creating drama by not having Jacob explain anything to anyone ever. You wonder what the point is of doing what he tells you to do or somehow represents.

Really at this point the O6 should suspect Hurley of being Jacob (hey, if Locke is MIB ...)

In the D&C podcast they hinted that Kate's name being crossed out in the cave but not on the Lighthouse wheel was perhaps a bit of disinformation Jacob was putting out for Smokey to find.

Well, I didn't hate this. Nice change of pace.

kate cried, claire cried. alt-timeline sawyer has the same alarm clock alt-timeline locke. I have it too in this timeline.

best moments: sawyer sniffs out the lying whitmore chick, sayid watches as claire tries to knife kate.

corny alt-timeline coincidences are starting to grate (eg charlie's bro at the police station)
