This thread annoys because it was such a good intro to people, yet it didn't say where they Are which might encourage understanding and FAPs!

don weiner, Thursday, 6 March 2003 19:18 (twenty-three years ago)

I already filled the other version of this in... the one with location instead of height. (5'8", FWIW.)

Oh, to repeat, my location is somewhere near Birmingham, UK. If there's anyone nearby who wants to be my friend/lover/patron, do get in touch! :)

At least someone else likes To Kill a Mockingbird. I thought it was just me. :)

I thought I'd use two smileys today because I don't feel quite as crapped-out as yesterday...

ChristineSH, Thursday, 6 March 2003 19:48 (twenty-three years ago)

Rah! That is good to hear.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 6 March 2003 19:51 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm sorry about the things I said on the list Christine is speaking of. I would say my looks are a 5 and my personality is a 7, speaking honestly. I sure do love myself!

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 6 March 2003 20:13 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm sticking with 2.363 and 4.

Although I do try to love myself a bit more sometimes. The trouble is, it's really hard because I'm SUCH A CUNT!!

And... er... proud of it...?!

ChristineSH, Thursday, 6 March 2003 21:21 (twenty-three years ago)

Don, you have annoyed me by ignoring my criticism of this thread. Ned, hold him down til he tells us where he is!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 6 March 2003 21:24 (twenty-three years ago)

Stop it Christine! You're worse than me! I say we decide where Don is for him. I vote for Ottumwa, Iowa.

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 6 March 2003 21:28 (twenty-three years ago)

I only say "stop it" Christine because I know that my self-deprecation is my most annoying habit, and in your case it seems to be even less true than it is when I do it. You seem perfectly fine, except for all the sad stuff.

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 6 March 2003 21:33 (twenty-three years ago)

And no Christine, you're not necessarily annoying!

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 6 March 2003 21:38 (twenty-three years ago)

Ned, hold him down til he tells us where he is!

Can't I just bore him with a list of the 500 reasons why I like the Smashing Pumpkins?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 6 March 2003 21:41 (twenty-three years ago)

I can help! (With the list, not holding down Ned)

Sarah Mclusky (coco), Thursday, 6 March 2003 21:42 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh, if it's about holding me down...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 6 March 2003 21:45 (twenty-three years ago)

I only say "stop it" Christine because I know that my self-deprecation is my most annoying habit, and in your case it seems to be even less true than it is when I do it.

Did you really just say that? ;-)

(I love me a good hacky-sacking, but it's not a sport)

Christine: go up to the next five guys you see and ask them if they want to shag. I'm betting only one wouldn't.

oops (Oops), Thursday, 6 March 2003 21:52 (twenty-three years ago)

oops: OTM!!!

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 6 March 2003 21:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Why would one say no? One in 5 guys is gay?

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 6 March 2003 21:56 (twenty-three years ago)

Sure!

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 6 March 2003 21:58 (twenty-three years ago)

Chris: why do you think I back-pedalled in my next post!?

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 6 March 2003 21:59 (twenty-three years ago)

It wasn't the "annoying" part that amused me, it was how you bemoaned your self-depricating habits in a self-depricating manner! "I don't like it when I self-depricate, and you have even less of a reason to do it than pathetic ol' me does!"

Chris P (Chris P), Thursday, 6 March 2003 22:04 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm pretty slick that way!

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 6 March 2003 22:08 (twenty-three years ago)

It was smooth and subtle and I was impressed.

Chris P (Chris P), Thursday, 6 March 2003 22:09 (twenty-three years ago)

When you've been putting yourself down as long as I have you learn a trick or two along the way.

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 6 March 2003 22:11 (twenty-three years ago)

Why would one say no? One in 5 guys is gay?

That, or he's on his way to get some better cootch

oops (Oops), Thursday, 6 March 2003 22:20 (twenty-three years ago)

Okay, I've not done it in a while so it might turn out different...

oops (Oops), Thursday, 6 March 2003 22:32 (twenty-three years ago)

Sorry there, bub. Maybe the 5th guy is the one who says he's gonna wait to get better "cootch" when really he just has such a super small bean dink that he's afraid to be found out?

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 6 March 2003 22:50 (twenty-three years ago)

OMG, that was my alternate explanation!

oops (Oops), Thursday, 6 March 2003 23:05 (twenty-three years ago)

Name: Daniel Sylvester Reifferscheid

Age: 18

Height: no idea, haha!

Fav Band: My favourite band that's still around is probably The Divine Comedy, but the band that I've been most obsessed with my whole life is, regrettably, The Beatles. They marked my entry into music- nothing before them, be it my dad's Ry Cooder and Caetano Veloso or my friend's Snap! and Michael Jackson, made the slightest impression on me.

Fav Movie: I still stand by my opinion that Gremlins 2:The New Batch is the greatest piece of art ever released, because it's basically just funny little green monsters running around doing everything everyone else secretly wants to do, but doesn't because we don't wanna be shunned by society and because, y'know, we know it'd hurt.

Fav TV Show: Buffy The Vampire Slayer reprezent, of course, and usual suspects like South Park, Red Dwarf, Monty Python's Flying Circus, too. And I'm a big fan of those old sci-fi shows- The Outer Limits is my fave.

Fav Book: Oooer, toughie. Random selection of favourites: The Hitch Hyker's Guide To The Galaxy by Douglas Adams, The Longest Journey by E.M. Forster, Another Country by James Baldwin, The Heart Of Rock & Soul by Dave Marsh, The Hobbit by Tolkien and On The Road by Jack Kerouac.

Fav Actor: Cinema is my least favourite type of art, I really dunno what to answer here. I mean, of course Bogart rules, but that's quite a dull thing to say innit?

Fav Actress: Erhm, I like Janeane whatshername.

Fav Food: Enchiladas!

Fav Sport: I enjoy skiing and swimming (as relaxation, not competition); mostly I hate sports cos I've got a leg problem and also I'm a wimp.

Fav Athlete: Now you're just kidding me, aren't ya?

Drink of Choice: Used to be addicted to Coca-Cola; now I just stumble through the wilderness and drink whatever's there. If you mean alcoholic beverages, a Smirnoff Ice is always nice.

Drug of Choice (if that's your thing): I smoke the occasional joint, that's about it.

Smoker? : Apart from the stuff referred to above, no.

Occupation : Student.

Do you work out? : No, I work it.

On a scale from 1-10 how would you rate your looks? : Oh, I'd say 7 bordering on 8, according to my own taste. According to "conventional" tastes, I suppose I might be around 4ish.

On a scale from 1-10 how would you rate your personality? : I don't think I can answer that. I reckogn I'm Cool Enuff- I can be arrogant and insecure and show-offy, and I can also be excessively introverted and shun human company altogether (I'm a terrible introextrovert), but I'm occasionaly amusing, mostly compassionate and at any rate I'm alot cooler than any of you bitches will ever be.

Add anything you want people to know: That Kelly Osbourne album really is quite good!

Daniel_Rf (Daniel_Rf), Thursday, 6 March 2003 23:07 (twenty-three years ago)

I can't say it's really my style to proposition random people like that. I have trouble even talking to people sometimes. (Sad but true...)

So I can't put your theory to the test, dammit. Even though I reckon that one in five *being* interested would be a stupendous result. (Surreal, even.)

The 'sad stuff'... hell, even I consider that annoying! I don't have much hope of anyone else digging it. :)

ChristineSH, Friday, 7 March 2003 00:06 (twenty-three years ago)

I didn't mean to say you were annoying! I'm very sorry! And there are lots of guys out there who say stuff like, "I fucking hate happy people. They can eat shit and die." or whatever, so maybe you'll just have to find one of those guys. WHY DON'T I HAVE ANY STEAMED CARROTS!?!?!?!?

Bryan (Bryan), Friday, 7 March 2003 03:49 (twenty-three years ago)

ChristineSH: best chat up line for a girl to use on a guy: "Hello"

gaz (gaz), Friday, 7 March 2003 03:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Then watch him freak out!

Bryan (Bryan), Friday, 7 March 2003 03:52 (twenty-three years ago)

NOT BECAUSE IT'S YOU ASKING, CHRISTINE!!! I've put my foot in my mouth one too many times in this thread. Crap on a stick.

Bryan (Bryan), Friday, 7 March 2003 03:53 (twenty-three years ago)

be careful if the guys are all together though

gaz (gaz), Friday, 7 March 2003 03:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Name:
Age: 29
Height: 5'9"

Fav Food: tough choice! Indian, Thai, Sushi?? Pizza??

Drink of Choice: vodka tonic

Smoker? : mild

Occupation : graphic designer

Do you work out? : yes

On a scale from 1-10 how would you rate your looks? : 5

On a scale from 1-10 how would you rate your personality? : 5

Add anything you want people to know: I don't have a lot of favorites, my tastes are varied and I often flip-flop on opinions because I tend to see things from many angles (just not all at the same time). I can argue a point (not to be argumentative) for something I don't believe in, just to get "all the ducks in a row" maybe to understand a situation better, but I don't spend a lot of time actually arguing "for" or "against" many things because I'm not really for or against much, therefore any arguing is usually in a purely philosophical sense. I'm not a passionate defender of causes or art and I'm not a compassionate conservative. The world is strange and I'm often confused.

Scaredy Cat, Friday, 7 March 2003 04:41 (twenty-three years ago)

(SF) Sean, your favourite movie is Suspiria? That's so cool.

(My favourite musical artists at the moment are Beethoven and Django Reinhardt though I'd probably still rate LZ as greatest band. Martial arts is by default my favourite sport but I missed today's class because I'm sick and Tuesday's to hang out with a girl I like. Wait, does non-competitive cycling count as a sport? That might win then. I guess Clone High is my favourite TV show. I'm a grad student now. Other than that my answers probably still stand.)
