dog latin (dog latin), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 07:56 (twenty-two years ago)

...obv this is easier/more likely in london are there are mo' londoners on there...

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 09:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Hang on, is this "most X" stuff just hyperbole, or do they actually tell you if you're the most/least something? Because that's kinda awesome.

Gregory Henry (Gregory Henry), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 10:01 (twenty-two years ago)

nah, it just says "is more" than the most.

jel -- (jel), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 16:37 (twenty-two years ago)

or in my case "is less"

jel -- (jel), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 16:38 (twenty-two years ago)

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 18:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I got a few woos, recently again, but nothing has come of them. life is what happened me when I was busy using ok cupid.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 18:22 (twenty-two years ago)

i know im jumping in unfashionably late, but my username's bootyslinger.

Felonious Drunk (Felcher), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 18:26 (twenty-two years ago)

(i made one)
(why?)
(deadfriendly)

nabisco (nabisco), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 18:27 (twenty-two years ago)

There are apparently a whole two straight or bi women between 30 and 50 in the London area on this site. I'm a good match for neither.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 18:29 (twenty-two years ago)

(i now count cozen among my suitors)

nabisco (nabisco), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 19:01 (twenty-two years ago)

(cozen is among himself)

nabisco (nabisco), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 19:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Nick, there's some guy who does that with me as well. And he looks like no one I'd want to be a friend with. It's some weird bug in the system.

Casuistry (Chris P), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 19:02 (twenty-two years ago)

(at this point i am just trolling for woos and getting nothing. i thought this would be reassuring or something.)

nabisco (nabisco), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 20:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I am getting messages now from a man who WANTS to meet his girlfriend online, like he doesn't want to meet a girl in real life at all, he is actively only pursuing online relationships, cos he wants to tell his friends he met his girlfriend online. WTF?

Allyzay, Wednesday, 9 June 2004 20:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, I thought you meant he wanted to meet his pre-existing girlfriend online, in some kind of Babooshka-like sting.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 20:13 (twenty-two years ago)

(this thing is creepy)

nabisco (nabisco), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 20:23 (twenty-two years ago)

JOOOOOIIIIIN USSSSSSSSS!!!!!

this girl just messaged me, saying that i'm probably her soulmate.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 20:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Perhaps she is!

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 20:57 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm a bit nervous that she's a "swinger."

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 20:58 (twenty-two years ago)

They are often fine people!

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 21:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Dammit. I think I just found my soulmate but she's a) living in San Diego and b) in a relationship. Figures.

I'm spectatorr

Aaron W (Aaron W), Thursday, 10 June 2004 02:02 (twenty-two years ago)

this girl just messaged me, saying that i'm probably her soulmate.

her boyfriend's screenname is a Get Up Kids reference. Be scared.

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Thursday, 10 June 2004 02:11 (twenty-two years ago)

it could be a roger bannister reference...

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Thursday, 10 June 2004 07:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I got a mail. I am checking it now.

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 10 June 2004 10:40 (twenty-two years ago)

it's taking a while. perhaps I should hit refresh.

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 10 June 2004 10:40 (twenty-two years ago)

it's playing hard to get.

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 10 June 2004 10:41 (twenty-two years ago)

it was not what I had hoped

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 10 June 2004 10:46 (twenty-two years ago)

sounds about right.

mark p (Mark P), Thursday, 10 June 2004 10:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I have just joined this thing. What do I do now? I am high_heels, like the blog I never did.

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 10 June 2004 13:26 (twenty-two years ago)

answer lots of dumb questions, send out lots of wooes and messages to pretty girls/handsome boys, sit back and wait. and wait...

then quit.

Ste (Fuzzy), Thursday, 10 June 2004 13:37 (twenty-two years ago)

neither of my new girlfriends have responded to my messages :(

ron (ron), Thursday, 10 June 2004 14:29 (twenty-two years ago)

I wish instead of "woo"ing someone you could "shark" them.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Thursday, 10 June 2004 14:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I've getting mail mostly from American girls, and woos mostly from bisexual/gay guys (though there was that "Succubus" from Holland, and a couple more girls). I guess this thing is working, since most of the girls that have mailed me have sounded rather interesting (no goths, thankfully), and I've mailed them back too. I haven't answered any of the wooers, because I don't no what to say to them - "gee, thanks for the woo"? Apparently you cannot put any text with your woo; I prefer those who take the time to write something.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Thursday, 10 June 2004 14:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Okay, I can handle this Texan chick being more intelligent, better looking, and better at sports than me - but better music taste?! That's just not fair!

dog latin (dog latin), Thursday, 10 June 2004 14:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Honestly, I'm surprised how many mails I have received, even though I've approached only one person myself.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Thursday, 10 June 2004 14:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Nobody likes you anymore, Tuomas.

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 10 June 2004 16:00 (twenty-two years ago)

[As for me the first person I bothered wooing turned out to (a) know people I know + (b) be mildly famous.]

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 10 June 2004 16:01 (twenty-two years ago)

524 questions answered, it's calling me selfish now, geez.

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 10 June 2004 17:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, well you could be out helping the poor children instead of arsing around answering 524 questions on the internet.

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 10 June 2004 17:14 (twenty-two years ago)

I suspect if someone woos you then you woo them back if you're interested and then they write you a message. It's sort of like making eye contact.

Casuistry (Chris P), Thursday, 10 June 2004 17:16 (twenty-two years ago)

There are so many questions on there that don't have how I would answer them as one of the choices, it's really starting to piss me off.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 10 June 2004 17:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Whatever. rjg woo'd my crush and now they are exchanging messages. What does this say?

Carey (Carey), Thursday, 10 June 2004 17:18 (twenty-two years ago)

There's a similar thing on my favourite dating site - a wink. You get this smiley thing. I just reply saying thanks, and being encouraging if I like their profile, or not if I don't, as I would with any message, though it gives you little to work with.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Thursday, 10 June 2004 17:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Regarding that questions thing, here's an example:

Honestly, which has shaped the course of world events more, love or hate?

O Love
O HATE

I want to answer this question with "greed". WTF.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 10 June 2004 17:29 (twenty-two years ago)

in my selfish rage, I deleted my account. Maybe I'll start again, but I dunno.

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 10 June 2004 17:35 (twenty-two years ago)

one of my matches says that it might take a month or more for him to respond to people, and adds that more creative messages will see a more timely response. wtf? you're here for my entertainment, pal, not the other way around!

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 10 June 2004 17:40 (twenty-two years ago)

maybe he has to write with pen and ink responses on parchment, and said it by pigeon.

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 10 June 2004 17:42 (twenty-two years ago)
