Rob Lowe? Could be good, but my immediate reaction is NOOOOOOOO
― Johnny Fever, Saturday, 6 March 2010 08:25 (sixteen years ago)
(Would completely endorse Megan Mullally joining the cast, though.)
― Johnny Fever, Saturday, 6 March 2010 08:26 (sixteen years ago)
So Rob Lowe and Adam Scott are joining the cast next season
good.
Paul Schneider seems like an obvious drop...
indeed. so does amy poehler but i guess that won't happen.

I think Lowe might be interesting. I can imagining him playing something like his character in Wayne's World.
― Michael F Gill, Saturday, 6 March 2010 15:35 (sixteen years ago)
I hope he's mayor.

Amy is preggers and here we go with awkward plant placement etc
― Freddy 'The Wonder Chicken' (Gukbe), Wednesday, 17 March 2010 19:32 (sixteen years ago)
Paul Schneider got officially dropped for next season (seems like a mutual agreement), might come back for guest spots. Natalie Morales (aka chick from The Middleman) signed on for an arc.
HIMYM definitely had the best "yes, both of our lead actresses are pregnant, let's just come up with ridiculous stuff to 'hide' the pregnancies" run
― Nhex, Wednesday, 17 March 2010 20:19 (sixteen years ago)
speaking of the intro, i've watched a few episodes on demand, and they have a twice-as-long intro that is totally awesome.
― Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 17 March 2010 21:42 (sixteen years ago)
i.e. the second half of the song is great.

Bummer that Schneider is leaving, but he has definitely had a reduced presence as the season has gone on...mostly just plays straightman.
― WARS OF ARMAGEDDON (Karaoke Version) (Sparkle Motion), Wednesday, 17 March 2010 22:12 (sixteen years ago)
I hope this doesn't develop into a cornball Andy/Anne/April love triangle if he leaves. With Anne single, it has that possibility. I like that story the way it is now.
― Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 17 March 2010 22:16 (sixteen years ago)
Agreed. This has now risen to my favorite comedy currently on. Even though the last two have been only pretty good, there's still plenty of good stuff per episode....for example, "The Swanson Code"
― WARS OF ARMAGEDDON (Karaoke Version) (Sparkle Motion), Wednesday, 17 March 2010 22:20 (sixteen years ago)
I call it the wormlog!
― Mordy, Friday, 19 March 2010 00:50 (sixteen years ago)
also, the terrible triangle is clearly gonna happen; what a disaster for parks and rec
― forksclovetofu, Friday, 19 March 2010 05:22 (sixteen years ago)
dammit. i really don't want to see that either. ah well, at least this episode was really amusing, just cuz it was an entire episode of ragging on Jerry
― Nhex, Friday, 19 March 2010 07:58 (sixteen years ago)
How often do love triangles happen in real life? Not that this show is that much like real life, but...
― Jouster, Friday, 19 March 2010 08:12 (sixteen years ago)
I always felt Jerry was treated unfairly until tonight, when it was revealed that he really is as bad as he's made out to be.
― Johnny Fever, Friday, 19 March 2010 09:53 (sixteen years ago)
I am hoping for a very awkward love triangle. I think they can do it.
― Michael F Gill, Friday, 19 March 2010 20:28 (sixteen years ago)
Jerry eating the burrito after pulling it out the creek made the episode for me.
― ô_o (Nicole), Friday, 19 March 2010 20:35 (sixteen years ago)
That and the ripped slacks/fart combo.
― Johnny Fever, Friday, 19 March 2010 20:37 (sixteen years ago)
"WOULDN'T EVEN SHARE WITH THE DOG"if by "awkward" you mean "they lez up", i may be willing to offer approval
― forksclovetofu, Friday, 19 March 2010 21:25 (sixteen years ago)
I really like how they're setting up the breakup-- e.g. the one episode where he's trying too hard to be a good boyfriend and anne is vaguely put off by it.
― Matt Armstrong, Friday, 19 March 2010 21:45 (sixteen years ago)
A love triangle isn't always bad (even when lez stuff isn't there)
Not to mention that April and big dumb guy are two of my favorite characters on the show

I hope this doesn't develop into a cornball Andy/Anne/April love triangle if he leaves. With Anne single, it has that possibility.
― Johnny Fever, Wednesday, March 17, 2010 6:16 PM
wait which episode did anne break it off w/ the other dude
― skogsturducken (am0n), Friday, 26 March 2010 04:04 (sixteen years ago)
not happened yet, but Paul is leaving the show, so people figured...and it seems like they hinting at an imminent break-up tonight.
― dan selzer, Friday, 26 March 2010 04:05 (sixteen years ago)
ah ok. haven't watched tonights yet
― skogsturducken (am0n), Friday, 26 March 2010 04:06 (sixteen years ago)
I know Andy isn't supposed to be very smart, but how is it that he just found out she's only 20? Plot twist don't make no sense.
― Moodles, Friday, 26 March 2010 04:21 (sixteen years ago)
Can you Photoshop your life with better decisions, Jerry?
― lindseykai, Friday, 26 March 2010 04:22 (sixteen years ago)
i don't think that's about him just finding out, I imagine he just didn't think about the fact that she wouldn't get in. I don't think he was like "oh she's young, I'm going home", I think it was just his usual "hanging out" with her and not realizing she saw it as a date.
― dan selzer, Friday, 26 March 2010 05:15 (sixteen years ago)
oh god this dumb shit with anne's growing dissatisfaction is a bummer.make this THE RON AND JERRY SHOW and cut out the rest plz
― forksclovetofu, Friday, 26 March 2010 05:40 (sixteen years ago)
DIED at this, such a ridiculous mean stretch of a joke
agree on the anne/mark breakup is being dragged out too much, but they probably filmed these episodes months ago, so what can you do
yeah, andy was probably just oblivious about it being a date, and then suddenly realized it then, would be very much in character, though the age thing probably made it really stick out
― Nhex, Friday, 26 March 2010 06:29 (sixteen years ago)
Despite the Anne/Mark thing, I thought last night's episode was pretty pitch-perfect as far as this show goes. The end when Ron and Leslie were throwing darts was maybe my favorite bit of the whole show. I love how they've moved Leslie from being the focus to just being a player, and the relationship with Ron is so great.
― Johnny Fever, Friday, 26 March 2010 14:14 (sixteen years ago)
yeah the relationships on this show are the best part
― max, Friday, 26 March 2010 14:16 (sixteen years ago)

i don't know how they do it, but these NBC location scouts have a remarkable knack for finding such uncannily central-indianan landscapes within greater metropolitan los angeles, not
― iiiijjjj, Saturday, 27 March 2010 01:14 (sixteen years ago)

love this show
― congratulations (n/a), Saturday, 27 March 2010 02:45 (sixteen years ago)
Leslie is looking really pretty lately. And pregnant, right? She had a shoulderbag in front of her stomach during whole picnic.
Ron running off after eating the bacon was lulz.

"Parks and Recreation Rap
Today at work my editor Streeter wondered out loud how cool a rap that sampled the Parks and Recreation theme would sound. After Googling my way to E-Dubble’s “Hampden Parks,” it turns out the answer is: very, very cool."
