the sappiness of the alt timeline makes me think either (1) that world will come into an apocalypse very soon or (2) it is a world lacking in free will due to the monster being released from the island

Claire was almost not terrible for a couple moments. Crazy as numb is scarier then crazy as hysterical shrieking obv. Also Jack's mom looked like Kate 40 years on + 3 facelifts.

lostpedia says that the wheel in the lighthouse had AUSTEN on it not crossed out, so despite hurley's diss, kate's probably a candidate too. maybe claire'll kill her first, tho.

This whole "The Stand" angle they seem to be building to is the opposite of interesting.

ok so probably the only interesting thing in this ep was in the first few minutes with jack's appendix scar! what do people make of that?! is that just the writers fucking with us or is it tied in with the course-correction stuff? the past has changed to account for things that happened on the island??
