no Vic's here for the rest of the week after I go back

I would like to be trying Dastoor over that weekend, as I've heard he is a hermit these days

Porkpie (porkpie), Thursday, 19 August 2004 10:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Hmm.. that's not exactly true. Maybe a bit. Now you've depressed me.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 19 August 2004 10:29 (twenty-one years ago)

are you guys going to be free on the 10th and 11th of september?? i would like to try glasgow then.

ken c (ken c), Thursday, 19 August 2004 10:35 (twenty-one years ago)

sorry dude

Porkpie (porkpie), Thursday, 19 August 2004 10:36 (twenty-one years ago)

I think I'm in Exeter, setting up an outreach hermitage project.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 19 August 2004 10:36 (twenty-one years ago)

that's quite a stretch!

ken c (ken c), Thursday, 19 August 2004 10:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Wahey I will be here then, ken c. : ))

Cathy (Cathy), Thursday, 19 August 2004 12:59 (twenty-one years ago)

The Motorcycle Diaries is previewing tonight at the GFT, at 7.45.

Glasgow?

Cathy (Cathy), Thursday, 19 August 2004 14:17 (twenty-one years ago)

yay cathy!

ken c (ken c), Thursday, 19 August 2004 14:23 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm looking forward to your return, ken c. There will be karoke and staying up and dancing, I'm sure.

Cathy (Cathy), Thursday, 19 August 2004 14:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I certainly hope so! It's going to be a fun weekend!

I also hope to see the miraculous mad karaoke dancing man again.

ken c (ken c), Thursday, 19 August 2004 14:31 (twenty-one years ago)

I did love that man.

Cathy (Cathy), Thursday, 19 August 2004 14:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Come on, Glasgow, come to the cinema with me!

Cathy (Cathy), Thursday, 19 August 2004 14:39 (twenty-one years ago)

what fun events are on next weekend? Pop league? anything else?

Porkpie (porkpie), Thursday, 19 August 2004 14:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Pop League is on Friday. If getting very very sweaty is your idea of fun. As mentioned already, the Old Firm game is on for dubious amounts of fun also.

N. isn't a hermit - I saw him last week. The Winchester Club is therefore the cure for the end of hermitude (he didn't stay long, but long enough for one of the folks I was in with to mistake him for Belfast Bob Kildea).

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:48 (twenty-one years ago)

!!

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, I decided not to tell you that at the time.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Ridiculous. If Bob still looks as good when he's 38, then we'll talk.

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:53 (twenty-one years ago)

I AM NOT 38

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 19 August 2004 16:22 (twenty-one years ago)

I admire your honesty.

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 19 August 2004 16:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Great Scottish Run.

Stephen will be running a half-marathon there on Sunday. So more moore trying Glasgow.

Mooro (Mooro), Thursday, 19 August 2004 18:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I do want to see the old firm game, and obv, Vic will too. What's the least pain way of watching while actually in Glasgow (I wish I could go but ha ha ha ha no)

Porkpie (porkpie), Thursday, 19 August 2004 18:07 (twenty-one years ago)

my dad is running too.

cºzen (Cozen), Thursday, 19 August 2004 18:43 (twenty-one years ago)

RJG is ill?

Get better Jack!

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Thursday, 19 August 2004 18:50 (twenty-one years ago)

RJG is not ill. He has to write 5500 words in 12 hours. OK, he is ill.

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 19 August 2004 21:18 (twenty-one years ago)

I once watched an Old Firm game in the Horseshoe with Cook. It was not painful and quite neutral. It was also enjoyable, though he may disagree as Celtic won 6-2.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 19 August 2004 22:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Most pubs in the centre are kind of non-affiliated, aren't they?

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 19 August 2004 22:23 (twenty-one years ago)

no I'm not sure. babbity bowsters?

cºzen (Cozen), Thursday, 19 August 2004 22:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Now you're just typing random letters.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 19 August 2004 22:25 (twenty-one years ago)

even still 'non-affiliated' /= comfortable fr watching the old firm match.

cºzen (Cozen), Thursday, 19 August 2004 22:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Well it's all boring to me.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 19 August 2004 22:27 (twenty-one years ago)

"I love hate."

cºzen (Cozen), Thursday, 19 August 2004 22:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I would have to go on your nose.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 19 August 2004 23:46 (twenty-one years ago)

I like Babbity Bowsters. The black paint works. I am not a goff.

Chris - what days are you trying Glasgow again?

Dave B (daveb), Friday, 20 August 2004 08:39 (twenty-one years ago)

we are going up on Friday, I will return on Tuesday, to be followed by Vic on Friday

Porkpie (porkpie), Friday, 20 August 2004 08:41 (twenty-one years ago)

As I am trying Loch Awe next week, followed by trying Edinburgh and Preston, it seems rude to not meet up.

Dave B (daveb), Friday, 20 August 2004 08:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Loch Awe sounds more like a condition than an actual loch...NB I am now picturing Dave B standing, open mouthed on the bank of a huge stretch of water.

writing 5500 words in 12 hours is enough to make anyone ill.

Somewhere on ILX is a pic on N. where he looks, very like, Bob Kildea.

MarkH (MarkH), Friday, 20 August 2004 09:14 (twenty-one years ago)

It is very awe inspiring. Also very cold, so last year when I swam in it, I was standing on the shores open mouthed. I thought my heart might stop with shock.

I shall be on a stag weekend where 5 of us will drink drinks, talk shite and fail to catch any fish worth eating.

Dave B (daveb), Friday, 20 August 2004 09:23 (twenty-one years ago)

i think i write about 5500 words each day.. here.

but i wouldn't hand it in as uni work.

ken c (ken c), Friday, 20 August 2004 09:24 (twenty-one years ago)

although i've always wanted a degree in scatology

ken c (ken c), Friday, 20 August 2004 09:25 (twenty-one years ago)

shell loves snow patrol.

cºzen (Cozen), Thursday, 26 August 2004 09:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Every day in every way.

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 26 August 2004 10:47 (twenty-one years ago)

jed, is that ticket still going?

cºzen (Cozen), Thursday, 26 August 2004 11:42 (twenty-one years ago)

because if it is &c.

cºzen (Cozen), Thursday, 26 August 2004 11:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Zara is giving Glasgow a whirl, finally.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 12:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Sadly, no mention of the Winchester Club:

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 13:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Soon the Strathclyde polis will be taking a leaf out of Ian Fleming's book.

Mooro (Mooro), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 15:19 (twenty-one years ago)

will be in Glasgowland 10th and 11th Sept! Hope to see yous. at the winchester and other places.

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 23:42 (twenty-one years ago)

rumour is: no aberdeen.

cºzen (Cozen), Sunday, 5 September 2004 11:42 (twenty-one years ago)

That is a peculiar rumour. They don't want you, you don't want them, or there is just no Aberdeen?

Alba (Alba), Sunday, 5 September 2004 11:47 (twenty-one years ago)
