Sturridge has gone to Chelsea.

Space Battle Rothko (Matt DC), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 16:00 (sixteen years ago)

cutty i just want to say i appreciate your zero-tolerance-for-shit-you-disagree-with attitude on this thread, there are things to fuck around about on the internet, and lost is not one of them

max, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 16:02 (sixteen years ago)

no, i have zero tolerance for people showing zero tolerance for lost theories

sir ilx-a-lot (cutty), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 16:02 (sixteen years ago)

i haven't pooped on anyone, just part of the dicussion. i speculated upthread and some dude and matt DC are like NO WAY MAN NEVER EVER WHAT

sir ilx-a-lot (cutty), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 16:02 (sixteen years ago)

haha

srsly though the idea that they wouldn't resolve the new timeline w/ the others is batshit from a production cost-benefit analysis point of view imo.

tehresa, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 16:03 (sixteen years ago)

ya i mean, would everything just end badly followed by a title card saying 'SEE?'

amuse-douche (s1ocki), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 16:06 (sixteen years ago)

i want lost to end like the clue movie

sir ilx-a-lot (cutty), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 16:07 (sixteen years ago)

timelines bleeding into each other must involve smokemonster whizzing along the Sunset Strip or this show is for shit

mdskltr (blueski), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 16:07 (sixteen years ago)

Timelines bleeding into each other sounds more convincing than Faraday sending them all back to magically make everything how it was supposed to be. Might explain Hurley's conversations with dead people.

Space Battle Rothko (Matt DC), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 16:09 (sixteen years ago)

I still want them to wrap up with a "th-th-th-that's all, folks!"

blow it out your bad-taste hole (WmC), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 16:13 (sixteen years ago)

i just want to see a sweaty faraday show up out of nowhere

sir ilx-a-lot (cutty), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 16:14 (sixteen years ago)

unstuck in time

sir ilx-a-lot (cutty), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 16:14 (sixteen years ago)

really not missing faraday's voice

mdskltr (blueski), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 16:22 (sixteen years ago)

i want lost to end like the clue movie

Personally, I'd like to see C&L introduce new characters, pose more wtf questions & generally tighten the screws of obfuscation all the way up to the final episode, in which a Wizard of Oz/Architect of the Matrix figure will appear & call everyone to some mystical, hidden conference room for an hour-long Q&A session where all the secrets of the show will be dealt with in a series of raised hands, bullet points, and possibly even an PowerPoint presentation.

Man or Austro-Hungarian? (Pillbox), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 16:58 (sixteen years ago)

i want it to end with a slowmo montage set to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8JGk6Y6N3Y

amuse-douche (s1ocki), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 17:06 (sixteen years ago)

i long for the naive days when we thought the drum and bass room actually meant something

sir ilx-a-lot (cutty), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 17:10 (sixteen years ago)

not so much that but Walt's powers definitely

mdskltr (blueski), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 17:11 (sixteen years ago)

"We got more than we bargained for with that boy."

Really? WHAT? He made some birds fall out of the sky. Anything else? I'm sure Jacob or Smokey had no use for such talents.

Of course Walt could just ride in on the horse and save them all yes please.

mdskltr (blueski), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 17:12 (sixteen years ago)

looks like somebody's got a case of "lostalgia"

Man or Austro-Hungarian? (Pillbox), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 17:13 (sixteen years ago)

*cymbal crash*

Yeah, recent interviews with D&C leave me no hope that they're ever going to do anything with Walt ... they used to say they had a plan for dealing with his aging and now they're saying it's too difficult to work around.

Probably just a thematic tie-in, but the whole Hatch creation to prevent the destructive force of the underground energy well from destroying the island (which it does in the revised '77, thanks to Jack and co.) parallels the imprisonment and release of Jacob's enemy.

Can't believe I didn't think of this, that's really good.

Brakhage, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 18:04 (sixteen years ago)

the walt thing is too bad but at least they can't make it about a superchild who is the prophetic saviour or some bullshit like that anymore

amuse-douche (s1ocki), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 18:06 (sixteen years ago)

think it should end "the others were created by humans..."

V-E-R-Y (history mayne), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 18:10 (sixteen years ago)

At least this show won't be wrapped up with an hour of exposition from Dean Stockwell telling us about years and years of events we never see. I hope. Though Dean Stockwell is always nice to have.

Brakhage, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 18:13 (sixteen years ago)

"at least they can't make it about a superchild who is the prophetic saviour or some bullshit like that anymore"

why is this particular card off the table? because the actor's aged out?

Philip Nunez, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 18:13 (sixteen years ago)

i read somewhere the drum and bass room is back this season

I see what this is (Local Garda), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 19:44 (sixteen years ago)

it's the wonky room now

sir ilx-a-lot (cutty), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 19:46 (sixteen years ago)

next door to the dubstep room

max, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 20:00 (sixteen years ago)

I don't care if Malcolm David Kelley never returns to the show, I just want to know what Walt's deal was. I still think that Season 2 was probably the show's best, but most of it just feels so inconsequential now.

Meanwhile in the upside-down reality

Brakhage, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 20:16 (sixteen years ago)

uh

sheryl crow but with a very long butt (HI DERE), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 20:17 (sixteen years ago)

I sort of imagine her singing 'Trust In Me' from the Jungle Book there

Brakhage, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 20:18 (sixteen years ago)

There's plenty of material in place for having Walt pull a Tommy Westphall, whether they decide to do that or not.

Philip Nunez, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 20:30 (sixteen years ago)

I can imagine an epilogue scene featuring Walt's summer job at a travel agency

Brakhage, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 20:41 (sixteen years ago)

(He got laid off from the aviary at the zoo)

Brakhage, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 20:56 (sixteen years ago)

Walt is surely Going Places!

sorry.

Philip Nunez, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 21:06 (sixteen years ago)

Or Walt could get hired on at the box factory - AND THE CYCLE BEGINS AGAIN

Brakhage, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 21:07 (sixteen years ago)

It's weird how all of the characters' signature traits are part of Walt. Walt's dad-loathing, don't tell Walt what to do!, Walt's love of hot pockets...

Philip Nunez, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 21:11 (sixteen years ago)

walt's disgusting obesity

sir ilx-a-lot (cutty), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 21:16 (sixteen years ago)

kate acts like a capricious child; so does walt!

Philip Nunez, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 21:43 (sixteen years ago)

not to mention walt's out-of-wedlock pregnancy and heroin habit.

Philip Nunez, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 21:47 (sixteen years ago)

and being named jack

amuse-douche (s1ocki), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 21:48 (sixteen years ago)

and his thing for knives

Brakhage, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 21:49 (sixteen years ago)

Remember when Walt was stung by spiders and subsequently buried alive?

sheryl crow but with a very long butt (HI DERE), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 21:50 (sixteen years ago)

Remember when Walt was looking for his son in the jungle and kept yelling WALT

Your body is a spiderland (polyphonic), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 21:58 (sixteen years ago)

Walt is his own constant

Brakhage, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 22:01 (sixteen years ago)

his complexion is so freckly, too

best one

amuse-douche (s1ocki), Tuesday, 16 February 2010 22:05 (sixteen years ago)

I was going to talk about when Walt went back in time to meet Walt and declared himself to be future Walt, then travelled back to the present, killed Walt, and now wanders the beach yelling that he's disappointed in himself but I couldn't top that

Brakhage, Tuesday, 16 February 2010 22:08 (sixteen years ago)

Alright, now someone needs to make a Walt-based spoof of the "Malkovich" scene in Being John Malkovich.
