since gettin diagnosed as diabetic late last year, perhaps at least partially due to years of over-consumption of the sweetie-sweets including sodas and (uggggh) "energy drinks," the diet dew is a total staple.

Thanks for the link! We've got this place right up the street, but in the land of four-dollar twelve packs from the supermarket, buying soda online can get a little pricey.

Diet Mountain Dew is really good for a diet drink, but I noticed this week that it's really markedly different from its sugary sibling -- the way Diet Coke isn't Diet Coca-Cola so much as "a diet cola brought to you by the Coca-Cola Corporation."
Pleasant Plains: I haven't had Australian quote-unquote lemonade, but the San Pellegrino Limonata (which the supermarkets here sell not in the soda aisle but in the organic goods cul-de-sac) has the kind of acidity and lemon flavor that it sounds like you're shooting for, if you were trying lemon juice and club soda. Pricy, about like Orangina, but much less pricy than ordering online.

I was on an airplane recently, trying to stay awake, and I asked the stewardess for a Mountain Dew or Mello Yello or something. She gave me a Sierra Mist, a drink that is caffine-free. Great.
(I would've asked for coffee, but it was already pretty warm in that flying tube.)

Quoth Mojo Nixon, on his satellite radio show (which I had the good fortune to hear in a friend's car last week):
"PEOPLE GOTTA START DRINKING LESS WATER AND MORE BOOZE AND MOUNTAIN DEW."
Words to live by.

ELEVEN TEASPOONS!!!
That's a little less than I would've thought. Eleven tablespoons, sure.

Also this new orange one:

Which is smoother than the other orange, which always tore the insides of my mouth out.
― Eric H., Friday, 31 August 2007 17:53 (eighteen years ago)
Bah no that one I just tries, it tastes like a tangerine peel that was left rotting in some regular dew. They do know their target audience, tho; new flavor is called GAMER FUEL:
