I think the best thing P&R did in its second season was make Leslie less like Michael Scott. Not that she can't be awkward, but she's not criminally inept.

The scene with Andy's Squirrel/Backpack line might be my favorite of the season so far, especially because it seems April can barely keep a straight face while he is saying it.

April got busted for underage drinking last season, so she's probably 19-20.

Yeah, she does seem too young for him, but it slightly balances out by him being an idiot. In real life, though, the actors are only five years apart.

is poehler even in this show anymore? i feel like every episode i see she's in it less.

The last few episodes have had A-stories pretty prominently about her (Christmas scandal, hooking up with Will Arnett and then Justin Thoreau w/the diner party). But maybe the B-stories have gotten a lot of time, more than these shows usually give?

I think midseason is when they focus on the B stories, and the A story is usually ramped up at the beginning and end of a season.

Ron Swanson is secretly the lead character, I think.

Andy's band actually being pretty good at playing for old people is a wonderful development.

tbh i think i cld watch a whole show of rashida jones playfully/politely receiving gifts

i don't want a lot more plot-only episodes but every once in awhile it's good to shake up the status quo

Paul Schneider got officially dropped for next season (seems like a mutual agreement), might come back for guest spots. Natalie Morales (aka chick from The Middleman) signed on for an arc.

HIMYM definitely had the best "yes, both of our lead actresses are pregnant, let's just come up with ridiculous stuff to 'hide' the pregnancies" run

speaking of the intro, i've watched a few episodes on demand, and they have a twice-as-long intro that is totally awesome.

Bummer that Schneider is leaving, but he has definitely had a reduced presence as the season has gone on...mostly just plays straightman.

I hope this doesn't develop into a cornball Andy/Anne/April love triangle if he leaves. With Anne single, it has that possibility. I like that story the way it is now.

Agreed. This has now risen to my favorite comedy currently on. Even though the last two have been only pretty good, there's still plenty of good stuff per episode....for example, "The Swanson Code"
