I am very close to starting a 'post your sleep cycle graph' thread

hahah yeah every morning I wonder if there's some kind of sleep cycle watercooler thread!

last week i had some nice flatlining going on

yeah that's what mine mostly look like

only had an iphone since christmas and oh boy, i don't know how i'd manage without it. my last phone was ~7 years old with buttons missing.

favourite apps:

trivial pursuit - good for falling out with the gf, feeling stupid, being bored in a pub.

spotify - in cambridge we get a really good 3g signal, moving to london in a few days, will test it out there. it crashes a lot, but eh, a lot of music for £10. currently assembling a playlist the massive list of tracks from the 70s that was posted on ILM a while back.

karajan - really good for practicing your aural skills if you're into that sort of thing. recognising intervals, chords, scales, etc works really well

jasuto - its fun making little synths

what's the name of the eno oblique strategies app? no luck searching app store :(

nope, phone in the same place every night.

London's generally fine, Crackle. The odd drop out and blank spot, but few and far between. Quite a lot of open zones as well, which the iphone automatically joins for free.

what's that wkpedia "hypnogramme"?

some really shitty graph that gives a vague indication of proper sleep cycles - you should be going in and out of deep sleep every 90mins or so.

Hmm. It's called Oblique -- I've got it here on my phone -- but you're right, it's not on the store any more. Anyone know any more about that?

The only time this didn't happen was with, er, ILX. And that's because it was Alext I was arguing with, not Stet.)

i slept so good last night but didn't use sleep cycle. i actually don't need an alarm clock, because i wake up at the same time every day generally (combination of circadian rhythms and cat), but i like looking at the sleep graphs.

So this pad is basically going to break my iPhone, isn't it? Up until now I had this lovely OS and lots of apps all of which were specifically designed for my one piece of hardware. Now a) the OS is going to start incorporating features I'll never be able to use (=bloat) and b) all the apps are going to be updated to include higher resolution assets etc (=bloat) and bascially my little phone's going to gradually slow down and slug up until it's ruined.

will I be able to use the iPad as a pillow together with the sleep cycle app?

anybody had any experience with the brain wave app?

what's the best iphone colour and is the 3GS worth it?

i've owned all three iterations so far, and the 3GS is really a lot snappier and responsive.

Air Video is fkn awesome; stream any video from yr Mac or PC to the phone. It encodes in real time. Looks great, v fast, even works over 3g/the Internet.

The idrum rza drum machine is awesome!
