take me to your lemur (ledge), Thursday, 21 January 2010 23:54 (sixteen years ago)

I like the life sign considering that Brown is pro RvW.

Mordy, Thursday, 21 January 2010 23:55 (sixteen years ago)

LIFE

Lee Dorrian Gray (J0hn D.), Thursday, 21 January 2010 23:57 (sixteen years ago)

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 22 January 2010 00:02 (sixteen years ago)

Brown should propose LIFE panels.

i don't even understand why the right wing has such a problem with global warming, like even if the stats are made up, why is helping the earth bad?

Whiney G. Weingarten, Saturday, 23 January 2010 00:40 (sixteen years ago)

because rightwingers have been running on denialism and oppositional politics for decades now. If the dirty fucking hippies are fer it, they're agin' it.

Also, because much of them can't or won't think in systematic ways. Plus, they think that much of it is just scare-mongering by hippies and libruls who hate america and successful american businesses.

It's completely about narrative, and jack-shit about actual science. And there's dozens of more reasons why.

kingfish, Saturday, 23 January 2010 00:43 (sixteen years ago)

"Find out why helping the earth is taking money out of YOUR wallet, after this commercial break"

Also I don't think man-made global warming has been proved. And I've seen a lot of people post things like "should we all hold our breath to prevent global warming?" and they always talk about how we are having colder temperatures over the past couple years.

As idiotic as these things are, they still have an argument to cling to (unfortunately).

The truth is by politics as pro- or con- 'global warming', they have successfully derailed what should be a conversation about pollution's longterm affects on the human race. Instead of seeing studies on how corporate pollution are causing cancers every day and killing millions in the name of profit, we read about saving this or that rare animal, which really doesn't matter to most people.

The important thing is that we don't consider further regulation of businesses. By making it not about human safety but animals/Earth/gaia they have maintained control of the debate for decades, and with the full cooperation of environmentalists.

Adam Bruneau, Saturday, 23 January 2010 01:59 (sixteen years ago)

should be "The truth is by polarizing politics into pro- or con-"

Doctor Casino, Friday, 29 January 2010 07:23 (sixteen years ago)

Captured evil look on Roberts' face perfectly. He has that Palpatine crouch also. Nice touch.

"MORE JUNK SCIENCE EXPOSED"

yeah, that's exactly how the article I read explained it.

KORGÜLL THE EXCHEQUER (GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ), Friday, 29 January 2010 08:05 (sixteen years ago)

Isn't CORP just adorable? More than ever, that's how I think of big business - dumpy and amiable.

80085 (a hoy hoy), Saturday, 13 February 2010 09:02 (sixteen years ago)

he may punch you in the face though

80085 (a hoy hoy), Saturday, 13 February 2010 09:02 (sixteen years ago)

The sensitive but proud gay person seems to have a little more get-up-and-go really - note that raised fist with thumb pointing! That guy's not just slouching into the recruitment office with his hands in his pockets.

Doctor Casino, Saturday, 13 February 2010 22:05 (sixteen years ago)

oh my God I hate these ppl so much I try to laff at them but they are so horrible :(

Lee Dorrian Gray (J0hn D.), Saturday, 13 February 2010 22:08 (sixteen years ago)

I don't like how 'diversity' and 'multiculturalism' have become scary words for the intended audience of those cartoons.

WTF? I get that someone has to 'stick up against the PC police' but the subtext is basically a nostalgia for pre-civil rights segregated public life.

Of course point that out and you are 'playing the race card'.

Adam Bruneau, Sunday, 14 February 2010 01:07 (sixteen years ago)

Dunno, except that both are maybe code words for "moral relativism" which is how Satan gets into you and makes your weak and curves your spine.

Also for "affirmative action," which means that you steal jobs away from hard-working, thrifty, & disciplined & therefore moral Americans to give them to lazy & undeserving & immoral negroes and women and mexicans, thus coddling them in their immoral ways.

Sex Sexual (kingfish), Sunday, 14 February 2010 01:41 (sixteen years ago)

is uncle Sam sweaty and excited about gay sex?
