The Edge Of America (Dee the Lurker), Monday, 22 August 2005 03:57 (twenty years ago)

Dear all:

Jinglesource is staffed by some of the finest jingle artists available on this planet. Many of them have even worked for advertising and television stations, in the former Soviet republics. Each of them has decided to turn his or her back on the jingle-industry limelight and live here in seclusion, beneath the grand Pacific Ocean, writing jingles for you. You will understand if they decline to be identified by name. Take only from them their most inspirational jingle to date:

Adam in Real Life

John Jacob Jinglesmith, Monday, 22 August 2005 05:18 (twenty years ago)

Aw, and i Still didn't make the list...

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 22 August 2005 14:23 (twenty years ago)

The Reading Massive product is a sprightly triple-jingle, with one verse applicable to each of the three Reading residents mentioned. You are in there. Get off my jingle-jock.

John Jacob Jinglesmith, Monday, 22 August 2005 14:37 (twenty years ago)

This is all going to see official release at some point, surely. The world demands it.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 22 August 2005 14:38 (twenty years ago)

.. ok fair enough.

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 22 August 2005 14:44 (twenty years ago)

Jinglemeister, you forgot me! I requested one right after Jeff-PTTL.

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 22 August 2005 15:07 (twenty years ago)

Dearest Homosexual: On behalf of Jinglesource and the Jinglesource Reception Staff, I would like to apologize for our error. Rest assured that the responsible party has been terminated and pumped via airlock out of Jinglesource's underwater bubble dome headquarters, to rest forever in the darkness of the deepest Pacific, his flesh and bones gnawed upon by bioluminescent monsters of the deep.

Dearest Mark: We hope that your feelings were not hurt by our very unprofessional joke. If you are unsatisfied by your role in the "Reading Massive" jingle, please let us know, and we will issue a gift card redeemable for one free jingle consultation and promotional Jinglesource "Dimples the Jinglechimp" plush doll (subject to availability).

Dear all: All further communications (excepting official requests) may be directed to the Jinglesource team via the following e-mail address:

John Jacob Jinglesmith, Monday, 22 August 2005 15:23 (twenty years ago)

Oh, I've changed my mind. I was sitting at work wondering how much better my life would be if I had a jingle. Can I find out, please?

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 22 August 2005 15:54 (twenty years ago)

OH, ALRIGHT, I'D LIKE ONE TOO. As long as it sounds like the seventies pop/rock group "Bread."

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Monday, 22 August 2005 16:10 (twenty years ago)

The Original Jimmy Mod: Kind Warrior (The Famous Jimmy Mod), Monday, 22 August 2005 16:26 (twenty years ago)

This is brilliant.

Could I have one that goes 'steve steve steve stevem' to the tune of 'D.I.S.C.O.'?

Sociah T Azzahole (blueski), Monday, 22 August 2005 16:38 (twenty years ago)

Alright, put me on the list for a jingle. I've held out long enough.

Michael F Gill (Michael F Gill), Monday, 22 August 2005 16:43 (twenty years ago)

Dear John Jacob Jinglesmith,

Thank you so much! I'm completely knocked out with my jingle - it's like having all my birthday and Christmas presents at once!

I can't stop smiling :)

C J (C J), Monday, 22 August 2005 16:44 (twenty years ago)

"Dimples the Jinglechimp".
And yes, thank you! Even if my coprophragic tendencies ARE somewhat exaggerated, it's still classic to have a jingle!

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Monday, 22 August 2005 18:00 (twenty years ago)

They're jingling, baby.

k/l (Ken L), Monday, 22 August 2005 18:15 (twenty years ago)

i heart mine

s/c (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 22 August 2005 18:21 (twenty years ago)

It's definitely not grody.

Leon C. (Ex Leon), Monday, 22 August 2005 18:23 (twenty years ago)

the OPPOSITE of grody

s/c (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 22 August 2005 18:27 (twenty years ago)

I know, I know.

Leon C. (Ex Leon), Monday, 22 August 2005 18:30 (twenty years ago)

"leon, leon, she's cooler than freon"

s/c (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 22 August 2005 18:34 (twenty years ago)

It would probably involve either drinking or inhaling the freon.

Leon C. (Ex Leon), Monday, 22 August 2005 18:37 (twenty years ago)

Heavens.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 22 August 2005 18:39 (twenty years ago)

We all know it's you, Ned.

Adam In Real Life (nordicskilla), Monday, 22 August 2005 18:56 (twenty years ago)

I don't. I think Michael Costello went back to the woodshed and this is what he came up with.

k/l (Ken L), Monday, 22 August 2005 18:57 (twenty years ago)

I am Mike Skinner now??!!

Thank you so much JJJ!

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 22 August 2005 19:05 (twenty years ago)

The Ronan Jingle will be on every MP3 blog tomorrow.

I'm Hi, Jared Fogle (ex machina), Monday, 22 August 2005 22:30 (twenty years ago)

The Ronan one is pretty amazing.

I was listening to a bunch of these right now, and then, quite coincidentally, my iTunes jumped to "Milkman" by Aphex Twin. It seemed not entirely out of line.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 02:57 (twenty years ago)

I can't stop listening to Ronan's theme. It totally kicks ass.
