What did you use to look like? Old photos.

A friend of mine posted her 1988 high school class photo on FB and what amuses me is how exactly like my own class that year all the heairstyles and clothing is on everyone. Shaggy, big hair, denim and lots of vaguely oversized shirts not tucked in.

Oh I finished HS in 1988 too :) But she was in a city school in Melb and I was in a country school in NSW - curious how universal teens can be.

i posted some hs photos too and my old friend and i were reminiscing about those horrible polyester shirts from the mid-late 90s. so terrible, but i lovvvvved them.

also a hella lot of jncos in those pics!

i miss the jncos/polyester shirt (preferably w/ flames or dragons) combo

i still have a shirt with flames on the sleeves from hs. (um, actually, i am wearing it now!) but it is a pretty plain cotton shirt otherwise.

I think the jnco / dragon shirt look is still popular w/ juggalos

iirc this look was meant to indicate "I love raving!" or "I have heard of a rave" or "I rented Go last night"

maybe now but back then pretty much everyone was rocking this look. i don't think i ever had a flame/dragon shirt, though. i was more into the polyester faux 60s revival crap.

this was my all-time favorite polyester shirt. my mother DETESTED it.

Yes. I am 5'9" (and a 1/2!). I was wearing heels there too so probably around 6 feet.

blonde ringlets was a killer look on me, tbh. people find that hard to believe nowadays.

Fuck that imo. I wanted to wear heels and so I did . . . for a bit. Changed into sneakers almost immediately after arriving at the venue because I hate walking in heels. Just wanted them for the pictures tbh.

Yeah if memory serves he was somewhere around that. First boyfriend - dated for 3 years. He was great. Talked to him recently and he's a P.I. now. Crazy!
